Deputy Home Minister Jonathan Yasin told the Dewan Rakyat on Tuesday (Nov 3) that the Ministry and the Prisons Department have taken several initiatives to reduce prison overcrowding including to empower the parole system, Offender's Compulsory Attendance, and continuous integration with industry programmes and smart partnership programmes.
