00:13smuggling activities. The leaked intelligence is believed to have allowed illicit operations
00:18in southern Malaysian waters to proceed without interference from security and enforcement
00:24agencies. MACC Chief Commissioner Tansri Azambaki said investigators have linked four companies
00:32to the smuggling of prohibited goods such as drugs, cigarettes and other contraband. He added
00:38that the number of syndicates involved is still being determined, with the possibility of cross-border
00:43networks not ruled out. During raids on August 14, authorities seized more than 120,000 ringgit
00:49in cash from two premises linked to a suspect. The total cash confiscated so far exceeds
00:56RM183,000. Fake firearms, drugs and suspects' mobile phones were also recovered and handed
01:03to police for further investigation. Additionally, bank accounts belonging to 12 individuals and
01:1024 accounts tied to one company, amounting to over RM155,000, have been frozen.
