00:00Two Bangladeshi factory workers were charged at the Johor Bahru Sessions Court on Friday

00:1031-year-old Maud Mamoun Ali is accused of providing support to IS through Facebook
00:16under the name Sahifullah Islam between July 28, 2023 and April 30, 2024.
00:24The charge, under Section 130J, Subsection 1, Paragraph A of the Penal Code,
00:31carries life imprisonment or up to 40 years with a fine.
00:35Separately, 27-year-old factory worker Mandrifat Bishat faces a charge under Section 130JB, Subsection 1, Paragraph A
00:45for allegedly possessing an image of the IS flag on his mobile phone.
00:50The offence carries up to seven years' jail, a fine and confiscation of the material.
00:56They were charged before Judge Datuk Ahmad Kamal Arifin Ismail,
01:00who set September 12 for the appointment of an interpreter.
01:04No bail was granted for either man.
