Lawyer Selvaraja Chinniah, who is representing Bangladeshi Md Rayhan Kabir, said a court had granted the police a 13-day remand order on his client.
Rayhan was arrested by authorities following his comments in a controversial documentary by Al Jazeera on the alleged sorry state of foreigners during the Covid-19 lockdown in Malaysia.
