44:00: Clearly malicious, but, was he drunk/drugged as well? Even if he thought that just tapping the cop's bumper would be some form of retribution, he was guaranteed an aggravated assault charge by motor vehicle!
38:35: It amazes me how emergency vehicles don't take into account traffic conditions. Granted, most have to run red lights, but, the red-light driver should have had help in the cabin or should not have assumed he was clear.
If drink/drug drivers were made to pay for damages, injuries, deaths, etc., regardless of their financial situation (i.e., garnish wages and/or force them to do paid work, 100% of which would go to the victims), they might think twice before getting behind the wheel. And that goes for unlicensed/uninsured/unregistered drivers.
32:45: The hair-rubbing prat is clearly lying, changing his story every 5 seconds. I would never have allowed the passenger to go off (amazed he returned!), and would have, at least, detained the driver in cuffs, until the facts were found.
29:00: Mandatory one year of jail for every mile a fleeing driver or runner goes; plus, 1 month jail for every stop sign and red light passed; plus, 3 months jail for every school, hospital, pensioner home, et al., passed. And all before the criminal charges are taken into account, if (LOL!) found guilty.
28:00: While the seemingly innocent bags contained non-drugs, the fact that they were packaged like the real thing, would lead one to believe that they were dealing them as such. In the States, even non-drugs wrapped as narcotics are illegal, because they could, potentially, cause serious harm to the user, not to mention wasting their money!
24:12: The number of a$$hole motorbikers riding dangerously is increasing; this balloon isn't even wearing proper gear; one slip, and he's road pizza. Honestly, if one showboats around me, and I'm the only driver around, I'd give him his death wish by smacking right into him.
Cops shouldn't ask, "Is there anything illegal I *should* know about?" Well, of course, the criminal is going to say, "No"!!! The better question would be, "We're going to search you and the car and find illegal items. Where are they?", and add a warning about obstructing.
21:55: You'd think they'd cough up the truth after being stopped and told they and their car are going to be searched, but, I had to LOL at the cannabis find after the dealer responded in the negative to its existence.
17:15: Drug abusers' (and even legal users') tongues and sense of taste are sometimes diminished to the point that they need something like a strong curry to get any flavor. That should be the first sign to stop.
15:45: I have no problem with drug USERS, provided they do no harm to anyone else, including safely disposing of needles and other potentially dangerous paraphernalia, and, as such, should be left alone.
12:40: I don't understand why the cop didn't tackle the dangerous driver. A slam to the cement might have knocked some sense into the prat. "A while before he's back behind the wheel"??? I'll bet he gets a year in prison, tops, release on community service for another year, tops (and absconds from that), and has his license (if he ever had one) revoked (as if he cares, one way or the other).
4:45: Unbelievable that the prat is still trying to get away, despite being surrounded by cops who just helped extricate him (they should have let him try to get out on his own, and slice up his fingers and hands on the broken glass, then tase him for his effort!).
4:00: Using a blunt object to open a window on an upside-down vehicle may not work, as the window is compressed enough such that it will resist such an effort. That's why a thick, sharp, pointed, instrument (so-called "window breaker") is needed, though, a screwdriver (flat or phillips) may do the trick, as well.
I don't get using a phone cradle by cops. With all the tech available, today, you'd think that they'd use a mic/speaker combo on the dash or mirror or elsewhere, which would be far easier, hands-free, and safer, should the vehicle need to make a hard stop or crash (i.e., don't want the cradle to bash around the inside of the car, potentially hurting the cops).
