44:00: I don't find it amusing in the slightest. The poor bugger was clearly afraid of just such a thing happening. I wonder whether some prat phoned in a phony welfare alert in hopes of getting this very result.
This episode seems to have upped the ante on violent behavior, showing extreme injury (and reported death) by thugs. There are some sociopaths who believe that, by showing such, it is "okay" to copy. Bad move.
37:00: The two thugs deserve to be put in solitary in a tiny jail cell, fed nothing but bread and water, no toilet, no windows, no activities. They will go insane. THEN, they can be put to death. But, I suspect that the parents are to blame, as well; probably some trailer trash.
37:00: What took the bus driver so long to intervene? I hope it's because he called the cops. It's nearly 20 years later, and I'll bet that the thug has been in prison more than once.
30:00: I wonder whether the cop thought this was a practical joke or a test on the part of his fellows! It would explain his seemingly infinite patience! Without the license or other photo ID, how did he verify her identity?
27:00: Ever notice how prats pile on one lie after the other, making things that much worse, and only delaying the inevitable? Granted, delay is a good tactic, but, only when you have the upper hand (read: are honest and have legitimate proof).
25:35: To be fair, no matter where I've lived or worked, I didn't know the vast majority of street names or highway numbers. After learning a route, it, simply, became automatic. In my current home of over 60 years, I do not know the names of some of the streets in my own, relatively small, neighborhood! So, I could buy the kid's story that he doesn't know the route names, but, obviously, he was feeding porkie pies to the cop.
22:50: I was, quite literally, on the floor laughing, when the geezer put his bonnet up! It took me nearly 5 minutes to calm down enough to write this! Hysterical!
10:15: This isn't the first time I've seen this segment: on other cop procedurals/series. Yet, none of them mentioned the additional charges brought against the felon, the added time he got, how long the cop needed to recover, what happened to the accomplice, or what the good samaritan (i.e., reward for bravery and good citizenship). I know these aren't news shows, but, still: Information, please!
4:55: They've already got the prat for eluding, and since they suspect him of drug dealing, they can now search him and his home. So, even though the cops didn't know he was trying to swallow a SIM card (seriously?), let the dealers swallow the drugs! With any luck, the drugs will kill them, resulting in one less drug dealer, at no fault of the constabulary! Regardless, one wonders how he managed to drive so well, whilst, presumably, manipulating his phone to remove the SIM card, of which I've had trouble doing sitting at my kitchen table for over 5 minutes!!! Curious that there was no mention of what happened with the presumed drug buyers in the van.
