A two-week long United Nations Climate Change Conference opened Monday in Lima, Peru. Representatives of 195 states and many NGOs will participate in the conference which hopes to pave the way for a major climate change accord to be signed next year in Paris, with the agreement slated to take effect in 2020. teleSUR
