Peru: Protests against Tia Maria mining project continue in Arequipa

In Peru, for the second consecutive day the inhabitants of the Tambo Valley, in the Arequipa region, are protesting against the approval by the government of a mining project known as "Tía María". The majority of the population in that region live from agriculture and they say that this mining project will harm their production. teleSUR
