00:00Let's check it now with Rochelle for tonight's weather forecast.
00:04Thanks, Nisha. Good evening, Trinidad and Tobago. I hope you guys had a great weekend.
00:09Speaking of the weekend, the Port Islands experienced isolated to widely scattered showers
00:15during the latter part of the afternoon as a low-level trap supported by favorable upper
00:21atmospheric conditions brought rainfall to part of eastern Tobago and areas near Sangre Gandhi
00:26in northeastern Trinidad. Now, this activity continued into today with showers developing
00:32across parts of central and northern Trinidad as well as Tobago and this was associated
00:38with the ITCZ. Now, looking at tonight, isolated showers are expected overnight mainly across
00:45Tobago and eastern Trinidad with nighttime temperatures at 25 degrees in Trinidad and 26 in Tobago.
00:52Now, the Met Office has discontinued the hot spell alert, signaling a reduced risk of prolonged
00:58periods of excessive heat. Now, this comes as increased cloud cover and rainfall have helped
01:04to bring down daytime temperatures. However, don't put away those water bottles just yet
01:10as warm to hot conditions are still expected throughout November with cooler temperatures
01:16anticipated in December. But until then, it will be a good idea to have your umbrellas close by
01:22starting with tomorrow as conditions will be very cloudy with periods of rain and the medium
01:29chance of thunderstorm activity favoring but not confined to Tobago and northern Trinidad.
01:35Mostly settled conditions are expected by late afternoon, early evening. Now, daytime temperatures
01:41will reach up to 31 degrees in Trinidad and 30 degrees over in Tobago. And you can keep your
01:47umbrellas with you for the next couple of days as well because you will need it for Wednesday's
01:52brief morning showers and cloudiness that will give way to a mostly fair, hazy and at times breezy day.
01:59And also Thursday's brief showers, although the rest of the day will be mostly sunny, slightly hazy and breezy.
02:06Let's take a look at our sun times now. In Trinidad, sunrise is at 5.57 and 5.54 in
02:12Tobago and sunset at 5.41 in Trinidad and 5.57 over in Tobago.
02:18And our sea conditions will be moderate with waves 1.5 meters to 2 meters in open waters and below
02:241 meter,
02:25occasionally choppy, in sheltered areas. It's now time for your tight times.
02:39Well, guys, that's all for weather tonight. But don't worry, sports is up next.
