00:00Oh, yeah, and Layla, maybe this text adds to your point here, 815.
00:03They're playing the leverage game with an empty hand.
00:06Exactly.
00:07Your leverage in any negotiation is to leave.
00:11But when you've already told people where you committed with your money,
00:16you've lost the plot.
00:17Yeah, but they can sell the Arlington Heights property.
00:21Yes, they can.
00:22And I think that's what all of us are waiting for.
00:25Right.
00:25Well, then we would know.
00:27But I'm saying, like, people think that, oh, they're screwed.
00:29They've got this land.
00:30What are they going to do with it if they build it in Indiana?
00:32They'll sell it.
00:33Somebody else will buy it.
00:35They'll be fine.
00:36But the whole thing is just hilarious.
00:38And I also spoke at an event recently where municipalities were represented
00:43and people who are in the finance arm for school districts are represented.
00:48And it was said to me that the Bears do not want to pay their taxes
00:52regarding the school districts and where they have purchased their land.
00:59Which is a problem.
01:00It's a responsibility of all of us in the public.
01:06You know what was really nice was the one and only Bears preseason game.
01:12I now have just a new appreciation for Soldier Field and just enjoying it while it's there.
01:17Or wait a minute.
01:18Could the Bears be there for the next 10 years?
01:20Is that really what's going to happen?
01:21The lease runs out in 2033.
01:23Are the Bears just going to be playing at Soldier Field?
01:25Maybe that's what will happen.
01:28There'll be no new stadium.
01:30No AH.
01:31I wish this was funny for a time.
01:34But now it's just gotten so ridiculous and messy.
01:38But when they're devaluing their words and the commissioner in effect is doing this via action,
01:46it just makes everybody else wonder, well, what are you doing?
01:50They show the 3D renderings in the games.
01:52They had George McCaskey speak during the preseason game.
01:56They had Kevin Warren speak during the second one.
01:59That clears it up.
02:00Yeah, okay.
02:01So I see you guys have these 3D renderings of what you want it to look like.
02:05But you still don't have a set site yet with parameters.
02:08The rendering is beautiful.
02:09And now you have the commissioner of the league stepping in and wondering what's going on.
02:12Well, the whole scenario needs an adult in the room.
02:16And maybe that's Roger Goodell.
02:17So hold your booze for now.
