00:39WWF Fully Loaded 99 took place on July 25th inside the Marine Midland Arena, now known as the Key Bank
00:45Arena in Buffalo, New York.
00:47Just over 16,500 fans are in attendance, an estimated 347,000 have bought the show on pay-per-view,
00:54and fans are here to once again see Stone Cold Steve Austin vs The Undertaker, only this time it's a
01:00first blood match for the WWF Championship.
01:02If Austin wins, Vince McMahon must leave WWF Television for good.
01:07If Undertaker wins, Austin will never get another shot at the WWF title ever again.
01:12On Sunday Night Heat, The Undertaker got an early advantage when he busted Steve Austin wide open while Stone Cold
01:18was getting interviewed by Jim Ross.
01:20Vince McMahon said he had nothing to do with The Undertaker attacking Austin.
01:23However, he does guarantee that Stone Cold will not leave Fully Loaded as WWF Champion.
01:29Also on Sunday Night Heat, Triple H cut his infamous I Am The Game promo.
01:34If Triple H can beat The Rock tonight in a strap match, he'll get a title shot at SummerSlam 99,
01:39but during this interview, Triple H made it clear that he's been long overdue as opportunity,
01:44and the WWF have held him back because he was friends with Shawn Michaels, Kevin Nash, and Scott Hall.
01:49Hunter said it was his time.
01:51The WWF punished him for the curtain call because he was the easy one.
01:55No one had the balls to punish Michaels while the Outsiders were leaving for WCW anyway.
02:01Triple H had to climb up the ladder and he made himself a main event player despite the WWF trying
02:06to keep him down.
02:07Hunter proclaimed he's not a student of the game.
02:09He is the fucking game.
02:11And history gets made with this one single interview that aired on Sunday Night Heat.
02:21Our opening match features IC champion Edge defending his belt against Jeff Jarrett, and yes, you heard me right.
02:27Edge won the championship last night at a Toronto house show, and Ken Shamrock didn't show up for his match
02:32against Double J.
02:33So Edge was given an IC title match and he made the most of it.
02:37Double J says no one's going to see Debra's puppies tonight because they belong to Jarrett,
02:41and Edge is going to lose that IC championship tonight at Fully Loaded.
02:45Double J pulls off a few headlock takeovers before Edge shoves him to the mat.
02:50We see a spinning wheel kick from Edge followed by a backslide that only gets him a two.
02:54A diving sunset flip gets Edge another two count,
02:57and Double J decides he's going to leave the arena while holding Edge's IC championship belt.
03:02The referee has to remind this dumb son of a gun that he can't win the belt via countout.
03:07So after learning the rules of a championship match, Jarrett comes back, and to his credit, he gets the better
03:13of Edge.
03:14After taking a ring step bump on the outside, Edge gets pummeled back inside the ropes.
03:19He fires back with a northern light suplex, but it looks like he jacks his knee a little when trying
03:24to dodge a corner attack.
03:25Jarrett smells blood and Edge's knee becomes his main target, but this gets instantly forgotten about when Edge gets his
03:32shoulder rammed into the ring post.
03:34Single arm DDT from Jarrett, leapfrog body guillotine from Jarrett, Edge finds himself in a sleeper hold, and when he
03:40breaks free, he ends up taking a flopjack.
03:43Double J then applies sleeper hold number two, and when Edge frees himself, he tries a few times to steal
03:48the pinfall victory, but he's unsuccessful.
03:50Though we do see the classic inadvertent headbutt to the dick spot, which always gets a reaction from the audience.
03:57The two get up, Edge gains momentum with a jumping leg lariat and a swinging neckbreaker.
04:01He then pulls off a tornado DDT, and he looks to end it with a spear, but Double J throws
04:06Edge out of the ring, and that's when Gangrel's theme music begins to play in the arena.
04:11Gangrel launches an attack, but when the lights come back on, we can see that Edge avoided the bloodbath, and
04:16he also managed to beat Gangrel up.
04:18But this gives Jarrett a chance to attack from behind, and Edge has to refocus on the task at hand.
04:24A sit-down powerbomb only gets Edge a two count, so he hits a spear, and that should be it
04:29all over.
04:29This is when Debra gets on the apron, though, and after getting punched by Jarrett, the IC champion gets knocked
04:35into Double J's valet.
04:36This allows Gangrel to snap Edge's neck over the top rope, Double J performs the stroke, and Jeff Jarrett is
04:43once again the WWF Intercontinental Champion.
04:45Double J celebrates by calling himself the greatest IC champion of all time, and yeah, a solid enough opener here
04:53for WWF Fully Loaded.
04:54I thought this match was alright.
04:56The doctors are putting a plaster on Steve Austin's head backstage, they say it's only temporary, and Stone Cold says
05:03that's all he needs.
05:04He then rushes down to the ring to attack Double J because the WWF seem to absolutely hate Jeff Jarrett
05:10around this time period, and the new IC champion takes a Stone Cold stunner.
05:14Austin grabs a microphone, he says if he's going into tonight's main event with stitches in his head, then so's
05:20The Undertaker, so Stone Cold's gonna go hunting for the dead man right now so he can bust him open
05:25before the WWF title match.
05:32Next up, the Acolytes got a shot at the Hardy Boys' WWF Tag Team titles, though this is gonna be
05:37a 3-on-2 match.
05:38Michael Hayes is gonna wrestle alongside Matt and Jeff.
05:42Hayes says the Hardys were once a couple of curtain-jerkers, but thanks to Hayes, they're now the tag team
05:47champions.
05:48Tonight, Michael's gonna lead by example, and our match begins with a good old-fashioned brawl on the outside.
05:53Michael's plan to lead by example doesn't work out too well as Farouk and Bradshaw beat the hell out of
05:58him when Matt and Jeff get taken out of commission, but Jeff wakes up and he pulls off a somersault
06:03senton to the outside.
06:05Matt keeps the excitement levels high with a moonsault, and the Hardy Boys show great teamwork when Bradshaw catches Matt
06:11out of a plancha.
06:11We see poetry in motion from the Hardy Boys and Farouk takes a double suplex before Jeff pulls off a
06:17swanton bomb.
06:18Big Ron kicks out though, and now the Acolytes are gonna single Matt out for a while while Jeff and
06:23Michael Hayes watch on from their corner.
06:25Matt lands on his head following a backbreaker from Farouk, and I don't even know how that's possible, but it
06:31happened.
06:32Matt then takes a double shoulder block as the Acolytes slow the match down to a pace more suited to
06:36Bradshaw and Farouk.
06:37Matt is able to tag out though, and Michael PS Hayes comes in, and after taking a big boot from
06:43Bradshaw, Michael decides he's already had enough and he tags in Jeff.
06:47Bradshaw stops a top rope corkscrew attack by slamming young Jeff to the mat, and when Farouk comes in, we
06:53see the first chinlock of fully loaded. May we be blessed with many more.
06:57The match then breaks down and the referee loses control. Matt counters a dominator attempt with a twist of fate,
07:03but Farouk kicks out afterwards.
07:04Jeff then hits Bradshaw across the head with Michael's cane, but Bradshaw kicks out. Jeff isn't the legal man by
07:11the way, and I don't think Bradshaw is either.
07:13We then see an excellent poetry and motion counter when Bradshaw performs the clothesline from hell on Jeff, and the
07:19match ends with Michael Hayes taking a double powerbomb, and Hayes gets pinned.
07:23Michael was not the legal man, but I don't think anyone really cared.
07:27The Acolytes are once again tag team champions, which kinda sucks because their previous run wasn't noteworthy at all, but
07:35let's hold judgement and see how their second reign goes.
07:41While Steve Austin continues his search for the Undertaker backstage, D'Lo says he's determined to win the European Championship
07:48tonight.
07:48It's been nine months since D'Lo held that belt, and he says there's more to being champion than going
07:53into someone's bag and pulling the title belt out to claim it for yourself.
07:57D'Lo and Midian then make their entrances, D'Lo gets smacked in the face, the two share right hands,
08:03and Midian goes down after a back elbow and a clothesline.
08:07D'Lo sends his opponent to the outside and he follows up with a baseball slide and a dive through
08:11the middle rope.
08:12Midian answers by throwing the challenger into the ring steps, and back in the ring, D'Lo gets turned inside
08:17out with a clothesline.
08:18D'Lo falls victim to a gut wrench powerbomb before finding himself in a sleeper, when he fights out, Midian
08:24performs a neckbreaker, D'Lo manages to turn it around and Midian takes a few hard slaps in the corner,
08:30but Midian comes back with a clothesline.
08:32We see a tornado DDT from D'Lo next that didn't look too good at all, but he makes up
08:37for it with a sky high moments later.
08:39We then see the lowdown, and just like that, D'Lo Brown is once again the European Champion.
08:45It's great to see D'Lo holding the European Championship once again, but the match here was pretty terrible.
08:51What is noteworthy here though is that we've had three title matches already, and in every match the respective belts
08:58have changed hands.
09:04Since Head got a railroad spike driven into its head, Al Snow's been on a downward spiral.
09:10The voices in his head have been ramped up, and on Raw, he begged the big boss man to beat
09:15him up so the voices would stop.
09:17Al's gonna defend his hardcore championship against boss man tonight, and because Al can't go anywhere and because he can't
09:22think straight, he's hoping the boss man can make the voices stop once again.
09:27Al meets boss man on the rampway, he gets on his knees and he begs boss man to hit him,
09:31but boss man begins attacking Head, and this sends Al into an absolute frenzy.
09:36He jumps on boss man and he throws a ton of right hands, and we've got ourselves a fight at
09:41the entranceway with boss man turning it around and Al getting thrown into one of the entrance lighting props.
09:46It doesn't take too long for the match to go backstage and you know exactly what to expect here.
09:51Both men beat the crap out of each other, but it's Al who gets the upper hand after using a
09:56baking tray, a canister filled with hot coffee, and a trash can to his advantage.
10:01Boss man gets suplexed through a table, but he manages to ram Snow into some shutters, and he then tries
10:07to run Snow down with a little backstage cart.
10:10Unfortunately, he can't get it to start though.
10:12Boss man then whips Al with his belt before choking the hardcore champion out.
10:16We then go to the mean streets of Buffalo where boss man performs a bulldog on the concrete.
10:21Al replies by using a hubcap to take out the big boss man, and the back and forth action continues
10:26with both men fighting on the road.
10:27The match ends with boss man handcuffing Snow to a gate, and when Snow says boss man's wasting time, he
10:33ends up getting destroyed with the challenger's telescopic nightstick.
10:37Snow takes a lot of shots before boss man puts his foot on Snow's neck, and the referee decides to
10:43count to three, even though, obviously, Snow's shoulders aren't on the ground.
10:47The boss man becomes hardcore champion, so we're 4 for 4 on title changes the night at fully loaded.
10:52Big Bubba runs back to the ring to celebrate while Snow remains handcuffed outside, and as far as WWF hardcore
10:59matches go, this was okay, but nothing revolutionary or groundbreaking.
11:03The WWF don't deviate too much when it comes to these type of bouts on pay-per-view.
11:09The Big Show takes on Kane next with Bob Hawley serving as the referee.
11:13The Big Show's been a little friendly with Hawley recently, but Bob says he's gonna call it right down the
11:18middle.
11:19Hawley says if either one of these big goofs put a hand on him tonight, he won't hesitate to fight
11:23back,
11:24but Hawley definitely has a better relationship with Big Show as opposed to Kane.
11:28Kane, meanwhile, ended his short-lived reunion with The Undertaker on Raw when the Big Red Machine realized that his
11:34brother attacked Axe Pock,
11:36so there's a few stories going on here that are gonna play out during this match.
11:40Show gets in a cheap shot while Hawley has a word with Kane at the opening bell,
11:44and even though Hawley's able to pull Big Show away, Kane ends up getting lifted above Show's head before being
11:49sent over the top rope.
11:50We've never seen Kane getting manhandled like this before.
11:53Show sends Kane into the ring post before the match gets back in the ring.
11:57The Big Red Machine isn't too happy with Hawley trying to gain control of the match,
12:00and once again, the referee distracts Kane long enough for Show to gain an advantage.
12:04Show performs an Irish whip and Kane takes a hard bump in the corner,
12:08and Hawley doesn't seem to mind when Show drags Kane's neck across the top rope.
12:13Kane takes a big clubbing blow to the back followed by a big clothesline.
12:17He sits up after this assault, but Show stays on his opponent with a few headbutts.
12:21Kane tries to go back on offense, but he takes a big boot to the face,
12:25and the domination continues with a power slam from The Big Show.
12:28Kane gets a break when Big Show misses an elbow drop.
12:31We see a few punches from The Big Red Machine followed by a DDT.
12:35He then goes upstairs, and we see the signature diving clothesline,
12:38and it looks like it's all over as Kane signals for the choke slam.
12:42The moment Kane wraps his hand around Show's neck,
12:45Hardcore Hawley delivers a chop block to The Big Red Machine,
12:48and this allows The Big Show to perform the showstopper.
12:51Hardcore Hawley delivers a fast count, and The Big Show wins this match.
12:55A match that I don't think did Show nor Kane any favors at all.
13:00X-Pac runs down, and he takes Hawley out with a spin kick,
13:03but then The Undertaker shows up to once again hit Pac with a choke slam.
13:07The Undertaker and The Big Show join forces to beat up Kane,
13:11quite the unlikely alliance we've got right here,
13:13but the fans don't like it in their chanting for Stone Cold Steve Austin.
13:17Undertaker looks a little disappointed as he hits Kane with a big right hand,
13:21and The Phenom gives Big Show a look before he heads back up the entranceway.
13:25The commentators think there might be something to this.
13:28Show walks back up the ramp with Hardcore Hawley,
13:31it looks like these two had this planned out all along,
13:34but backstage, The Undertaker's bumped into Steve Austin,
13:37and The Rattlesnakes hellbent on busting the Dead Man open
13:40before their first blood match the night had fully loaded.
13:43Austin succeeds in his mission, the Dead Man ends up bleeding,
13:46so both men have wounds that can easily be reopened during tonight's WWF title match.
13:56Steve Blackman turned heel when the West Texas Rednecks got super popular in WCW.
14:01Country music makes Blackman weak, it makes his physical powers diminish greatly,
14:06and to make matters worse,
14:07Ken Shamrock handed all the boys copies of Rap is Crap
14:10so they could play the country song in their cars while on the road.
14:13Tonight, Blackman faces his toughest challenge, an Iron Circle match against Shamrock.
14:18The boys have formed a circle with their rental cars,
14:21and they're all playing rap as crap from their car stereos,
14:24and if Blackman can survive this absolute torture while beating Shamrock in a fight,
14:28he'll transcend his current status to become Shin Blackman,
14:32his ultimate true form that can't be stopped by anything, including country music.
14:37Blackman enters the Iron Circle, where Kurt Hennig's lyrics can be heard from every angle,
14:42and he already knows he's in big trouble.
14:45He's fighting at about 20% here, and it's not going to be good.
14:49He makes his first mistake when he dashes into Shamrock, and he ends up on a car hood.
14:53Shamrock lays in a ton of right hands, and Kenny Boy sends Steve into the neighbouring car with a lot
14:58of force.
14:58Blackman dodges a punch, and Shamrock smashes a windshield,
15:01but Shamrock dodges a kick, and Steve kicks a window through.
15:05The country music is just too much for Blackman here.
15:08Steve tries to shake it off as Ken takes a spinebuster on a car hood,
15:12and Blackman follows up with a low blow.
15:14Steve then throws Ken to the floor before hitting him with a fierce kick
15:17that sends Kenny Boy back into that grey automobile,
15:20and Blackman then grabs a chain in hopes of wrecking Shamrock's face.
15:25Unfortunately, Steve misses, and Shamrock's able to do more damage on top of another car.
15:30Blackman replies with a body slam on top of a car before trying to hurt Ken with a tire iron,
15:35but Shamrock dodges the attack, and that's all she wrote, ladies and gents.
15:39While at a seriously unfair disadvantage, Blackman takes a shot with a trash can,
15:44and it ends with Ken wrapping that chain around his fist, and Blackman takes a shot to the head.
15:48Shamrock then chokes Steve Blackman out, and Steve fades away
15:52while listening to the sound of rap as crap from like eight different cars.
15:56This rivalry is far from over, ladies and gents,
15:59but unfortunately, we won't be seeing Shane Mavook and Blackman anytime soon.
16:08The Red Rooster tries to get a word with The Undertaker, but that doesn't work out too well.
16:13I've no idea why The Undertaker hasn't cleaned himself up yet, but anyway,
16:17Billy Gunn and Chyna also get interviewed backstage, and Billy says,
16:21tonight it's eat or be eaten, kick or be kicking.
16:24And tonight, Billy and Chyna are gonna feast.
16:27These two are gonna face X-Pop and Road Dogg for the rights to the D-Generation X name.
16:31The winners get the name, all the merch revenue, the theme music, everything.
16:36Both teams come to the ring with the DX theme song,
16:38but the fans are definitely behind Road Dogg and X-Pop tonight.
16:42Road Dogg says he's got two words for Chyna and Billy,
16:45and our match starts off with a headlock from Chyna followed by a shoulder block to the Road Dogg Jesse
16:50James.
16:50Headlock number two from Chyna gets followed up by shoulder block number two from Chyna,
16:55but Road Dogg hits a dropkick when Chyna turns her back,
16:57and this leads to Billy Gunn getting knocked off the apron twice.
17:01Chyna then avoids the pump-handled slam,
17:03and after some time wasting on the outside, Billy Gunn tags in.
17:07We have the New Age Outlaws facing off against each other once again in the WWF ring.
17:12Billy tells the crowd to shut up before he goes on offense,
17:15and he does quite well when hitting Road Dogg with a stinger splash.
17:18Chyna delivers a clothesline from the apron as the heel team stays in control,
17:22and when Chyna tags in, she delivers a few kicks and a few forearm shots before the DO Double G
17:27gets choked out.
17:29Road Dogg takes a few back elbows before Billy tags back in.
17:32X-Pop has seen no action so far,
17:34and his partner really needs a tag as Billy chokes James out on the canvas.
17:39We then see the jackhammer from BA Billy Gunn before Gunn goes to the top rope,
17:43but Road Dogg gets a boot up, and finally, Kid gets tagged in.
17:46Both Billy and Chyna take spinning back kicks,
17:48and the crowd are going crazy for X-Pac right about now,
17:51but Badass quickly puts X-Pac's fire out with a stun gun,
17:55and Pac's opponents are now going to focus on that surgically repaired neck.
17:58It's always the same story in X-Pac matches as of late,
18:02and it's starting to get a bit boring, not gonna lie.
18:05Chyna comes in with a sleeper hold,
18:07and when Waltman breaks it, Chyna sinks her knee into Pac's neck.
18:10Billy also gets a shot in from the outside before Chyna applies a chancery.
18:14Pac is able to make it to his corner for a tag,
18:17but the referee doesn't see it, and the heels get a chance to cheat a little.
18:20Billy then wrenches down on Kid's neck,
18:22and when Pac gets out, he takes a fantastic look in porcelain from BA.
18:26Chyna then tries to show off with a handspring back elbow,
18:30but X-Pac fires back with a clothesline.
18:32Both Road Dogg and Billy Gunn tag in with Road Dogg having a lot of fire,
18:36and when Chyna tries to get involved,
18:38she ends up taking the dancey punch in the dancey knee.
18:41X-Pac gets back in the ring, and Chyna falls victim to a bronco buster,
18:45and because of Chyna, Badass misses a stinger splash on Pac,
18:49and this leads to Road Dogg pulling off the pump-handled slam on BA.
18:52X-Pac and Road Dogg win via pinfall,
18:55and that means these boys here can legally use the DX name
18:58and collect some sweet merchandise money.
19:01To add insult to injury,
19:02Road Dogg calls Badass and Chyna non-degenerates
19:05before saying he's got two words for his opponents tonight.
19:08So it looks like DX is here to stay in the WWF.
19:17Next up, it's The Rock taking on Triple H in a strap match.
19:20Triple H is determined to become WWF champion at SummerSlam,
19:24but he needs to get through The Rock to get his opportunity.
19:27Rock says Triple H cried to Jim Ross during that Sunday Night Heat promo
19:31about being kept down because of his Rudy Poo friends in the clique,
19:34but the real reason why Triple H was kept down is because Hunter sucks.
19:39Rock's going to take the strap, turn it sideways,
19:41and stick it up Triple H's ass
19:43because The Rock is the people's choice,
19:45and The Rock is the people's champion.
19:47Pinfalls and submissions count in this strap match.
19:50The competitors do not need to touch the four-turn buckles.
19:53The Rock goes to work on Triple H before putting the strap around his wrist,
19:57but he secures the strap after pulling Hunter into the ring post.
20:00Triple H gets all fired up though,
20:02and Rock gets destroyed beside the barrier.
20:04The two go back and forth beside the announce tables
20:07before the match gets back in the ring.
20:09The game takes a clothesline,
20:10but he answers with a clothesline of his own,
20:12and Hunter then uses the strap to choke Rock out beside the ring ropes.
20:16We go back to the outside as the fans chant Rocky's name.
20:19Triple H takes a ring step up before Rock lets in a few boots.
20:23We then go through the crowd,
20:25up a few stands,
20:26and back over the barrier at the side of the entranceway,
20:28as seems to be tradition in 1999 WWF pay-per-views,
20:32and I think I talked about this in the last WWF pay-per-view video about how much this is
20:37getting played out.
20:38I mean,
20:38it's great for fans in attendance,
20:40but it just looks messy on TV,
20:42though the strap plays a part in the brawl here as Triple H pulls Rocky into the guardrail.
20:46The Great One drops Hunter on that guardrail,
20:49and he lays in a big right hand before taking a moment to smell what the Rock's cooking.
20:53Hunter though,
20:54once again puts the strap to good use when he whips Rock over and over again at the entranceway.
20:59Rock counters a suplex with a suplex of his own,
21:01but Hunter replies by throwing Rock into a different guardrail.
21:04We then make it back to the ringside,
21:06where Triple H stays in the driver's seat with a ton of right hands.
21:09Inside the ring,
21:10Rock gets whipped again,
21:11and the referee decides to intervene,
21:13and this allows Rocky to come back with a few punches,
21:16but he gets put down with the Harley Race knee.
21:19Chyna then walks down the ringside,
21:20and she gets on the apron to distract the ref.
21:23This gives Rock an opportunity to pull off a rock bottom,
21:25but Chyna keeps Matt Kiyota busy,
21:27and Rock has no choice but to break the cover.
21:30Hunter then hits a low blow,
21:31he sits on top of the turnbuckle while he chokes Rocky out.
21:34Chyna has a smirk on her face as Triple H continues his attack,
21:38but Rock uses the strap to throw Hunter from the top rope.
21:41The two take a rest on the mat before standing up and going toe-to-toe for the final time.
21:46Hunter gets the better of Rock here,
21:47but the people's champ turns it around with a clothesline,
21:50followed by a Samoan drop.
21:51We then go back to the outside,
21:53and the two men fight on the entranceway once again,
21:56and Triple H looks to end it with the help of a steam chair.
21:59Rock dodges the attack,
22:00Triple H gets whipped over and over again on the entranceway.
22:04The two eventually make it back down to the ring,
22:06where Rock performs a DDT,
22:08and when Triple H kicks out,
22:09Chyna jumps on the apron.
22:11This gives Billy Gunn the opportunity to run in and hit Rocky
22:14with that club he's been getting fond of using recently,
22:16but when Triple H covers Rock,
22:18Rocky kicks out and Hunter can't believe it.
22:21The game gets aggressive,
22:22and this ends up backfiring on Triple H.
22:25A pedigree attempt gets countered with a low blow,
22:27and Hunter gets set in position for the people's elbow.
22:30Rock delivers his signature move,
22:32it should be all over,
22:33but Billy pulls the strap,
22:35and the cover gets broken.
22:37BA takes a rock bottom for his crimes,
22:39but Rock then walks straight into a pedigree from Triple H,
22:42and Hunter wins the fully loaded strap match,
22:45which means Triple H is getting a WWF title shot at SummerSlam.
22:49Hunter leaves the ring,
22:50he tells the fans it's his time,
22:52so we'll see in a few weeks if Hunter can get the job done in Minneapolis.
23:02The WWF has fallen back on Steve Austin vs. The Undertaker quite a lot recently.
23:07They've had single matches at three separate pay-per-views in the last year,
23:11not to mention other bouts involving other guys,
23:13and the multiple matches they've had against each other on Raw.
23:16You can't blame WWF either,
23:18they were doing record business and filling up arenas,
23:21but even the most avid Attitude Era fans would have to admit that this rivalry has gone cold,
23:26and it really was time to shake things up
23:28and give both Austin and Undertaker new opponents for their main event matches.
23:32This is the last Austin vs. Undertaker pay-per-view singles match that we'll see in reliving the war though,
23:38and it could be the end of an era depending on who wins.
23:42Vince McMahon will leave WWF TV if Stone Cold makes The Undertaker bleed,
23:46however, if The Undertaker wins, the days of Stone Cold getting title opportunities are over,
23:51and Austin will never be WWF champion again.
23:54Both men have already been busted open tonight, so we're at a level playing field,
23:58and Vince McMahon is here tonight at the commentary table to watch how this match unfolds.
24:03We see both competitors making their way to the ring from the backstage area,
24:07so here we go, the fully loaded 1999 main event,
24:11champion Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. The Undertaker in a first blood match.
24:15The end of an era.
24:21Like the Buried Alive match at rock bottom, our match starts at the entranceway,
24:25and Austin tries to bust Taker open with a belt shot.
24:28Undertaker ducks it, and Austin gets punished quite harshly for his crimes,
24:32and after Undertaker beats Stone Cold up at the barrier, we get another long fight at the entranceway.
24:37Austin covers up while Undertaker lays the punches in,
24:40Stone Cold doesn't want to bleed within the first minute of this match.
24:43Taker tries to sink his fingernails and the Austin's wound, but Stone Cold blocks it,
24:48though Austin does get knocked over the barrier, and once again, we're going through the audience for another brawl.
24:54It does feel a little more exciting here though, because one shot could lead to either man bleeding.
25:00Undertaker stops Austin from using the ring steps,
25:02while Vince McMahon looks a little concerned at how this is playing out.
25:06The two men then get back over the barrier, and Undertaker once again tries to rip Austin's wound open.
25:11We finally get in the ring where the challenger chokes the champion out with his big boot,
25:15and the Undertaker throws a few right hands that, unfortunately for Undertaker, doesn't bust Stone Cold open.
25:21Austin dodges a corner big boot, and Stone Cold goes to work on Undertaker's left leg.
25:26It's an odd strategy for a first blood match, but immobilizing the Undertaker can make Austin's job a lot easier
25:32later on.
25:33So Stone Cold stays laser focused on the body part, and he even uses the ring post for a little
25:38extra damage.
25:39Austin gets pushed over the guardrail, a spot we've seen in previous Stone Cold vs Undertaker matches.
25:45We go back into the crowd, and Vince is now telling fans at home that Austin's been busted open, but
25:50he clearly hasn't.
25:51We go back over the barrier, and this time, the Undertaker punishes Stone Cold at the announce table.
25:56The dead man then tries to end it with a steel chair, and Austin's quick to dodge two chair shots.
26:01But Stone Cold does manage to perform a dropped toehold, and Undertaker smacks his head off the ring steps.
26:06The referee gets a closer look as Taker gets his head rocked off the ring steps a few times, but
26:11he doesn't bleed, and the match continues on.
26:18Stone Cold chokes Taker with some TV cord, and he hits him with a small fan sitting at the commentary
26:22desk, but there's no blood being spilled, and Austin has to try a little harder.
26:27Back in the ring, Undertaker gets in a quick uppercut, and we then see one of the worst referee bumps
26:32of all time.
26:33Undertaker avoids a Stone Cold stunner, but Undertaker finds himself getting trapped between the top and middle ropes,
26:38so Austin grabs a steel chair, and he looks to end it with one final blow to the head.
26:43Shane McMahon runs down to save the Undertaker, and even though the boy wonder gets whacked with that chair, the
26:48plan still works.
26:49The Undertaker frees himself from the ropes after hitting Stone Cold with the boot to the face.
26:53Stone Cold takes a low blow, the Undertaker then removes a turnbuckle pad,
26:57Austin repays the favor by hitting the Undertaker with a low blow, and the challenger then takes a Stone Cold
27:03stunner.
27:04Vince McMahon panics, he gets up off his seat and he tries to hit Stone Cold with his crutch, but
27:09that plan backfires, and McMahon gets taken out.
27:12Stone Cold then grabs another chair as he tries to finish the match one more time,
27:16but it's Austin taking a chair shot at the midsection followed by another shot at the back.
27:21For some reason, Earl Hebner tries to tell the Undertaker off, and this leads to the referee getting shoved in
27:26the corner.
27:27And as the dead man approaches Austin for the kill shot, he gets interrupted by X-Pac hitting the ring,
27:32and the Undertaker gets that chair kicked in his face.
27:35This isn't enough to bust the Undertaker open, but Stone Cold nails the Undertaker with the TV camera, and this
27:41gets the job done.
27:43Shane McMahon tries to interfere once again, but he quickly gets taken out.
27:47The Undertaker's a bloody mess, but he's still thrown down with Stone Cold.
27:50He lifts Austin up for the tombstone, and that's when the referee wakes up.
27:54And after getting a look at Taker's face, the referee calls for the bell, and Stone Cold wins the fully
27:59loaded main event.
28:00Steve Austin is still WWF champion, and Vince McMahon must leave WWF television for good.
28:07Undertaker knocks the referee out, but Austin hits him with a stunner.
28:11Vince McMahon then gets in the ring, and he too falls victim to a Stone Cold stunner.
28:15Triple H then shows up, and he's able to beat Austin down to the mat,
28:18but The Rock then appears, and Triple H gets taken out of the ring and back up the ramp.
28:23The Undertaker wakes up, and he hits Stone Cold with a chair shot.
28:26We unfortunately missed this shot, as the cameras were focused on Triple H and Rock.
28:31Austin's been busted open pretty badly, as he and Undertaker fight beside the announce tables,
28:36and it all ends with officials running down to break up the fight.
28:39Austin makes one more dash for The Undertaker, as the two bloody men don't want their war to end,
28:44but The Undertaker eventually backs off, and Austin returns to the ring to shake Vince's hand.
28:50Stone Cold wants to say goodbye to the chairman, so he hits his boss with a Stone Cold stunner,
28:55and Austin's theme music plays to end the show.
28:58Both Austin and Undertaker ended this match covered in blood,
29:01so the main event definitely lived up to its billing,
29:04and all in all, it serves as one of the better Austin vs Undertaker pay-per-view matches of the
29:09Attitude Era.
29:15WWF pay-per-views, particularly from mid-1998 to this point in 1999,
29:20have been incredibly formulaic, which makes it hard for me to judge these shows on a singular basis.
29:26If you stuck on fully loaded 99 without watching anything else from this era,
29:30you'd say it's a decent enough Attitude Era pay-per-view,
29:33and indeed, Rock vs Triple H, Edge vs Jared, and Austin vs Undertaker were decent matches,
29:39but I'm at the point where I want to see different match-ups take place at the upper end of
29:43the cards.
29:44Thankfully, the WWF will move away from Taker vs Austin from this point onwards,
29:49and Triple H is going to get his time to shine as a true main event act in the World
29:54Wrestling Federation.
29:55So, I get the feeling that the WWF knew it was also time to move on and try something new.
30:01Fully Loaded is a serviceable pay-per-view for those wanting to check out a random 1999 WWF show.
30:07For those watching in chronological order though,
30:09and even for fans back in 1999 who watched this show along with everything else up until this point,
30:15it feels like an event that overall lacks originality.
30:19Will Vince McMahon live up to his word though,
30:21and will the chairman stay away from WWF TV for good?
30:24Well, stick with reliving the war, and I'm sure we'll find out.
30:28Thanks for watching everyone, I hope you enjoyed this one, and please take care.
31:24We'll see you next time.
