00:18And shut your mouth
00:20Ha ha ha ha
00:24Ha!
00:25The Rock says
00:26The Rock says
00:28Know your damn role
00:29Do you smell what The Rock is cooking?
00:33WWF Breakdown In Your House
00:35took place on September 27th
00:371998 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada
00:40Take a look at those sexy graphics
00:41during the show's open
00:43The show attracted around 300,000 viewers
00:45on pay-per-view and 17,500 fans
00:47to the Cops Coliseum
00:49Mr McMahon's guaranteed that Steve Austin
00:51is going to lose the WWF Championship tonight
00:53and folks were curious as to what was going to happen
00:56in tonight's main event
00:57Austin faces Undertaker and Kane in a triple threat match
01:00but there's a big stipulation
01:02The Undertaker and Kane can't pin one another
01:04There's a lot of matches on this show that had no build up at all
01:08not unlike WCW's recent pay-per-view offerings
01:11but let's see if the matches were any good
01:12and let's see if Breakdown's worth a watch
01:14nearly 25 years later
01:22Our opening contest is Owen Hart vs Edge
01:25two Canadian superstars battling it out in Hamilton
01:28Owen gets a good pop when his music plays
01:30and there's more cheers when fans see his Toronto Argonauts jersey
01:33The crowd then chant Nugget to the beat of Owen's theme music
01:36and it kinda reminds me of fans chanting
01:38you suck at Kurt Angle
01:40kinda doing it in an endearing way
01:42seeing as the fans in the arena actually like Owen Hart
01:45The fans do like Edge too though
01:47and our match starts off with Owen performing his headstand wrist lock counter
01:51before putting Edge in an overhand wrist lock
01:53very small detail here but look at Edge trying to arm drag Owen
01:57and Owen's like, not today pal
01:58Owen holds onto the wrist during a suplex
02:01Edge then gets a chance to go on offense after landing on his feet during a monkey flip attempt
02:05and Owen gets dropkicked, Edge then pulls off a modified Hurricanrana
02:09and Owen gets sent to the outside
02:11Owen then counters an apron dive with a power slam
02:14but some dumbass put his sign in front of the camera
02:16we do get to see the move during the replay though
02:19Owen then pulls off a missile dropkick followed by a gut-rend suplex
02:23the crowd continues to chant Nugget so Owen hits a neckbreaker
02:27After an overhead belly to belly, Owen applies a chin lock
02:30summoning the spirit of his brother-in-law who's having a real bad time in WCW at the moment
02:35and then we see a victory roll in the corner from Owen
02:38this is what his brother was supposed to do at WrestleMania 10 when Owen faced Brett
02:42the domination of Edge continues with an enziguri
02:45and Owen says it's over before going upstairs
02:48unfortunately for Owen, Edge wakes up and he delivers a reverse electric chair drop
02:53and Edge is gonna build a little momentum with a swinging neckbreaker
02:56a body slam and a DDT
02:58the crowd's now behind Edge as he hits a Northern Light suplex
03:02but Owen fires back with a German suplex
03:04The King of Hearts then takes inspiration from X-Pac when he misses a standing bronco buster
03:09but he's able to stop Edge from delivering a superplex before we go into the match finish
03:14Edge gets his feet up when Owen comes off the top rope but Owen stops short and he goes for
03:19a sharpshooter
03:20Edge manages to fight Owen off and he performs a rollup followed by a spinning wheel kick
03:24and then some random dude appears on the outside
03:27Edge knows who this is, he seems a little shocked to see this guy
03:31but Edge is also distracted and this allows Owen to score a pinfall win
03:36Edge chases this guy back through the audience as Owen celebrates his victory
03:40a good and very underrated match to kick off Breakdown
03:56Another match that had no buildup at all is up next, it's Too Much vs Too Cold Scorpio in Al
04:02Snow
04:03Scorpio came to Snow's rescue on Raw this past Monday but that's all we've got here, it's just a random
04:08tag team match on pay-per-view
04:10Scott Taylor takes a Scorpio atomic drop followed by a spin kick but our boy comes back with a pump
04:15-handled suplex
04:16and Bryan Christopher absolutely adores the moonwalk afterwards, how can you not like these goofballs?
04:21Al Snow comes in and he's the definite fan favourite here, the WWF have done a good job of reintroducing
04:27Al and fans have enjoyed his antiques over these past few months
04:30Unfortunately, there is a slight communication error between Snow and Christopher though the two are able to recover from it
04:37quickly and Snow punishes BC with a succession
04:39of headbutts followed by a clothesline Scott Taylor gets back in as does Scorpio, Scott Too Hot takes a few
04:46corner clotheslines
04:47as Al goes to the outside to pick up a chair, he then passes it to his partner and while
04:51the referee is busy asking Scorpio what the hell does he think he's doing, Al uses the chair for a
04:57springboard sidekick
04:58Scorpio tries to do the same when Bryan consoles Scotty and he slips off the chair, decent recovery but still
05:05very noticeable
05:06Taylor accidentally headbutts Christopher right in his little grand master and Scorpio then lands a splash on Taylor but he
05:13only gets a two
05:14On the outside, Al pulls off his security barrier moonsault but the cameras miss it and we then see a
05:20springboard crossbody from Scotty to the outside
05:23I'm pretty sure Scorpio was supposed to land on his feet after this double back suplex judging by the way
05:28too much acted after the move
05:30So they try it again and… yeah that'll do
05:34Al tags in and Scorpio distracts the ref so too much can get a little head action, even Scorpio wants
05:40head so Al gives it to him
05:42And look at this, there's a few pin attempts next to get broken up with aerial moves but why does
05:47Jack Don't stop counting?
05:49You don't stop a count because of a potential threat, you stop counting when the shoulders are off the mat
05:54Anyway, it ends with a snowplow from Al Snow, not a great tag team match if I'm honest and Scorpio
06:00was definitely having an off day here at Breakdown
06:03We go to Michael Cole backstage and he asks the question on everyone's mind, who is gonna cover Steve Austin
06:09to win the championship tonight if the brothers of destruction get the opportunity to do so?
06:14Undertaker says it's none of Michael's business and it's none of our business either but the dead man and the
06:20big red machine have come to an understanding
06:23Tonight we're gonna see the total annihilation of Steve Austin
06:29Another match that was drawn out of the hatback stage is Mark Merrow vs Draws
06:33Sorry, THE Draws, what the hell's that all about?
06:37Jackie won the women's championship on Raw and she still doesn't have a title belt
06:41The WWF really need to boost their women's division with more talent right now because it's currently looking like the
06:47old WCW women's division, remember that?
06:50Mark decides he doesn't wanna wrestle after taking a drop kick from THE Draws and Darren goes to bring Mark
06:55back
06:55Merrow takes a bump at the steps before getting thrown in the ring, he replies with a knee lift but
07:00Draws follows up with a jumping shoulder block
07:03Mark then backdrops Darren out of the ring and we see shades of the old wild man as Mark performs
07:08a somersault senton
07:09Back inside the ropes Darren hits a power slam but he can't keep Merrow down for three
07:14Mark takes some of his wrist tape off and Draws gets choked out, the ref does nothing about it by
07:19the way
07:19Jackie smacks Draws'd off with her high heeled shoe while Merrow keeps the referee distracted
07:24And Mark ends it with his own finisher, the wild thing, now known as Marvelocity
07:30It's such a babyface move and the fans end up hopping for it because how can you not?
07:35So this one was a throwaway match really, very forgettable but Mark shooting star press is a thing of beauty
07:41Next we have a false count anywhere match, Vader vs Bradshaw
07:45These two did have a little backstory with Bradshaw turning his back on Vader during the Summerslam edition of Sunday
07:51Night Heat
07:52But the feud has been given minimal time on Monday night television, still it's two big boys going at it
07:58so sometimes you just don't need a story
08:00The WWF are still giving Vader a hard time over his weight, Bradshaw… it's not funny but Bradshaw calls Vader
08:07a fat bastard before the match and he says it's survival of the fittest not survival of the fattest
08:13You just know he's been fed these lines too but man, Vader's in good shape here especially if you compare
08:18him to a year or two ago
08:19Still, Vader is on his way out and he'd go to All Japan where he'd get a lot more respect
08:25Bradshaw overpowers Vader and he lays in a few stiff shots in the corner, Jim Ross talks about Vader struggling
08:31with his weight as Bradshaw lands a hard corner clothesline
08:34Bradshaw gets paid back in kind when he runs into a brick wall named Vader
08:39On the outside Bradshaw hits another seriously hard clothesline and Vader gets clocked with the ring veil
08:44We see another clothesline from Bradshaw and I'm starting to think this is all this guy can do, try changing
08:50it up a bit there JBL
08:51Bradshaw punches the ring post twice because he's got terrible aim and Vader then gets a chance to drop the
08:57ring steps on his opponent
08:58He should have gone harder here in my opinion
09:01After a brief scuffle in the ring it goes back to the outside where Bradshaw takes a few bumps at
09:05the guardrail
09:06Bradshaw also gets kicked in the balls and Vader tries to win it via pinfall but JBL kicks out
09:11Vader gives Bradshaw another receipt when he hits him with another clothesline
09:15Back in the ring, Vader hits a splash, he goes up again and he hits the Vader bomb
09:20And Bradshaw kicks out
09:21Yeah, he kicks out of the Vader bomb
09:24Bradshaw then wins it after two clotheslines from hell and a neckbreaker
09:28I don't know, this one just felt a bit petty you know
09:32Vader getting mocked, Bradshaw going as hard as humanly possible while Vader kept it relatively light by Vader standards
09:38The finish of the match, it was still a hard hitting match but all I can think about at this
09:42point is Vader's wasted potential in WWF
09:45It's a shame but as mentioned, leaving WWF was the best thing Vader ever did
09:55The random match generator spits out Gangrel vs D'Lo Brown next
09:59D'Lo lost the European title on Raw this past week and as for Gangrel, he's tied up in a
10:04rivalry with Edge that's shrouded in mystery
10:06No one knows what's going on between those two
10:09This one was pretty much all D'Lo with Gangrel playing defense for most of the match
10:14In between moves, D'Lo would tell Gangrel he better recognize and Gangrel did recognize when D'Lo came off
10:20the second rope
10:21But D'Lo stayed in control following a low blow and the referee just stands there and watches
10:26The crowd popped for the running powerbomb and they cheered again when D'Lo posed on the middle rope
10:32A hook clothesline from Gangrel wasn't enough to keep D'Lo down but Gangrel got another chance after pushing the
10:37former European champion from that middle rope
10:40Unfortunately though, he was unable to capitalize D'Lo pulls off a unique Olympic slam into a rock bottom?
10:47I'm sure there's a name for this but it looked good anyway, I'll ask Tony Schiavone what you call it
10:52I know the name of that move though, that's a chin lock and I know what this is too, that's
10:56a stun gun that completely missed its target
10:58Here comes Mark Henry, the world's strongest man pulls the top rope down and Gangrel falls out of the ring
11:04Gangrel then gets his back rammed into the ring post and back in the ring, he takes a sky high
11:09D'Lo wins via pinfall and honestly, I would have been happy with either man winning here, not a bad
11:14little match at all
11:19Right, onto the good stuff
11:21Mankind, The Rock and Ken Shamrock had a triple threat match on Raw to determine the number one contender for
11:27the WWF belt
11:28But there was no winner
11:29Mr McMahon decided to bring Kane and Undertaker down to cause havoc even though McMahon booked the match in the
11:34first place
11:35So tonight we have a rematch, only this time it's inside a steel cage
11:39You can win the match by being the first man to escape the cage or the first man to get
11:43a pinfall or submission victory
11:45Ken Shamrock says it's time to knuckle up, he came to WWF to become champion and tonight he's gonna secure
11:51his spot as the number one contender
11:53The Rock?
11:54The Rock cuts a great promo here where he wants to know if Mankind and Shamrock have enough sugar in
12:00their testies to step into the people's cage
12:02Rock says he'll take his right hand, his left hand, he'll lay the smackdown on both his opponent's monkey asses
12:08Someone's gonna take the people's elbow and the rock bottom
12:11And The Rock will then climb the cage inch by damn inch while the fans chant his name
12:16When all's said and done, Shamrock and Mankind will join the millions and millions of Rock's fans who know damn
12:22well that The Rock is and will forever be The People's Champion
12:25A few rock lines here would become synonymous with The Great One as time went on
12:30Mankind, meanwhile, wonders if sugar coated testies are a new type of breakfast cereal
12:35He's seen some stupid things in his day, including the president sacrificing the nation for a girl that Mick would've
12:41turned down in high school
12:42Nothing, though, is as stupid as The People's Elbow and Mankind refuses to sell it
12:47Mankind's ready to get a title shot and all three men are ready to head to the ring to begin
12:51what I think is the best match on this card
12:59Even Jim Ross has to acknowledge how good The Rock's ovation is as he makes his way to the ring
13:03Mankind gets cheered too, but Shamrock was booed for the first time ever when his music hit
13:08Shamrock and Rock go at it while Mick Foley tries to be all sneaky
13:12He tries to leave the cage right at the opening bell but Rock brings him back in
13:16Mick bides his time though and he lets Rock and Shamrock fight again before getting physical himself
13:21And Shamrock takes the running knee while Mankind takes a clothesline
13:25The crowd pops again for The Great One
13:27Shamrock stops Rock leaving the cage and Kenny Boy attacks both his opponents
13:31He applies an abdominal stretch on Mankind and Rock sees this as an opportunity
13:35The Great One applies the same move on Shamrock and we've got ourselves a three way stretch
13:40Hiplock takeovers are used to break the move up and the match then resets
13:44Rock looks over at Mick and then an alliance gets formed, Rock wants Mankind to help him take out Shamrock
13:50And Rock instantly backstabs Foley, it's brilliant
13:53Shamrock ends up attacking Rock before moving on to Mick, Mick then gets an opportunity to leave the cage
13:58but Rock pulls him down and Shamrock's had enough
14:01Kenny Boy wipes out both men and he shouts at the referee to open the cage door
14:06Shamrock tries to win the match but Rock grabs his food and the two struggle on the mat before Mankind
14:10comes over to lend a hand
14:12Mick may have gotten backstabbed by Rock but he still doesn't want Shamrock to win
14:16Mick holds Ken up and Rock gets in a free shot
14:19The two then work together to choke Shamrock out on the middle rope and Ken gets thrown into the cage
14:25It's not looking too good for the world's most dangerous man
14:28Mick wants to do something a bit more involved, he wants Rock to set Shamrock up for a knee lift
14:33So Rock obliges and Foley thinks this is great
14:36But keep an eye on the live picture during this badly timed replay and you'll see the Rock once again
14:42stab Mankind in the back
14:43It's so good
14:44Shamrock pulls Rock down from the cage and then Ken and Rock decide to join forces and Mankind takes a
14:50double clothesline
14:50Shamrock then makes the mistake of putting the ankle lock on Mick while Rock stands right behind him
14:55So you know what's gonna happen, Shamrock gets taken out
14:58Rock then gets punished by both his opponents, there was only so long he would get away with this behaviour
15:03Shamrock and Mick pull off a double backdrop and a double suplex
15:07And when Mick goes for another knee lift, Rock sees it coming and Mick gets taken out
15:12Mick takes a DDT, Shamrock takes a float over DDT, both men take body slams and the crowd completely lose
15:19it
15:19When Rock prepares a double people's elbow by taking off both arm pads
15:23Rock pulls off the most electrifying move in sports entertainment and the move gets the loudest pop of the night
15:29so far
15:29And now Rock's gonna try and climb the people's cage
15:32Mankind and Shamrock are quick to get on their feet as the crowd chant Rock's name
15:36Rock fights Shamrock off but he ends up smashing the people's balls on the top rope when fighting Mankind
15:42Still though, Rock remains focused when he gets up and he hits Shamrock with a low blow followed by a
15:47rock bottom to Mick Foley
15:48Kenny Boy breaks the follow up cover and the fans are not happy, they chant Shamrock sucks as Rock takes
15:55a back elbow
15:55It's incredible how Rock's popularity has turned fans against Kenny Boy and while Jerry Dollar calls this bizarro world
16:02Jim Ross understands that this is all down to how over Rock currently is
16:06The audience boos Shamrock hits it belly to belly and he applies the ankle lock
16:10And they go crazy when Mankind frees the rock by kicking Shamrock in the head
16:15Mankind tries to climb over and he gets pretty far, Rock tries to bring him back in by the hair
16:20to the point where Foley's actually dangling off the cage
16:23In the end Shamrock's able to knock Rocky down to the mat but Foley decides he's not gonna climb out
16:28now
16:28Instead, he stands on top of the cage, he imitates Jimmy's snooker and then he crashes to the mat when
16:35Rock avoids the elbow drop
16:36The match then comes to an end when Shamrock tries to climb out of the cage
16:40He's unable to make it but he does grab a steel chair
16:43Mick avoids a chair shot and Shamrock takes the double arm DDT
16:47Foley then swings the chair again and the world's most dangerous man gets wiped out
16:51And Foley's now gonna climb the cage
16:53He completely forgot about The Rock though
16:56Rock crawls over to Shamrock, he covers Kenny Boy
16:59And Rock wins via pinfall
17:01Mankind was too slow
17:03Poor Mick thought he won it but it was The Rock's night at breakdown
17:06What a great match though and quite possibly one of WWF's greatest ever triple threat matches in my opinion
17:12Loads of drama, good comedy spots that weren't overdone, a ton of great action and an excellent crowd having a
17:19lot of fun
17:25Next up, it's Val Venus vs Dustin Runnels and if you're wondering why that last match wasn't later on in
17:31the card, remember that we're ending the show with another triple threat match
17:34Dustin Runnels, a born again Christian, wasn't too happy with Val Venus' dirty antics on TV
17:40Val retaliated by sleeping with Dustin's wife Terry so that should make things even, right?
17:46Well, no, we're gonna settle the score tonight in this battle between good and, uh, evil
17:51Val Venus is the bad guy here, right? Or is it Dustin Runnels?
17:55Anyway, Val has a surprise for Dustin, Terry Runnels has come, she's come to breakdown and she's clearly dressed for
18:02the occasion
18:02Dustin can do nothing but try to use the force to stop this debauchery and his heart breaks again when
18:08he realizes that Star Wars isn't real
18:10And even though he prays before the match begins, he still ends up taking a spinebuster
18:15Dustin comes back with a powerbomb but on the outside he gets turned inside out with a clothesline
18:20He's able to go in control momentarily back inside the ropes after a back body drop
18:24But Venus keeps Dustin at bay with a few knife edge chops, a few knees to the gut and a
18:30Russian leg sweep
18:30We see some camel clutch action as Terry looks on, Runnels then gets choked at the ropes and he gets
18:36kicked out of the ring
18:37And on the outside, Venus drops Runnels on the commentary table
18:40Venus impresses Terry with his chinlock skills as fans chant take it off at Dustin's wife
18:46The hold stays applied for a long time but Dustin eventually gets up only to get knocked down again with
18:51a clothesline
18:52Dustin gets a bit too confident after landing a DDT, he goes to the top rope and we think Val's
18:57gonna counter with a superplex
18:59But he ends up dumping Runnels out of the ring instead
19:01Dustin doesn't sell it for long though and it's Venus who ends up getting dumped out of the ring moments
19:06later
19:06But he lands right in front of Terry and of course, the big Balboeski gets all excited
19:11Back in the ring, Dustin delivers a bulldog, he covers Venus and…
19:20Ok then, the match then ends with a Val Venus power slam followed by the money shot
19:24Not only did Dustin get robbed by a fan with an air horn, he also has to watch Val Venus
19:29eat his wife's face after the bout
19:31It's not a great day for Mr Runnels
19:33The match was ok too, it was always gonna be tricky following that cage match though
19:43The Outlaws and X-Pac team up to take on Southern Justice and Jeff Jarrett because there's no one else
19:49for DX to feud with right now it seems
19:51The build up centered around haircuts and guitars getting smashed, I wish I had more but there's really nothing here
19:57The Outlaws attack from behind while X-Pac makes his entrance, DX clears out the ring and Billy Gunn says
20:03the boys have two words for their opponents tonight
20:07X-Pac drops Jarrett with a sit down powerbomb before tagging in Road Dogg
20:11Double J sinks a knee into Road Dogg's midsection, but Jarrett falls victim to an inverted atomic drop, the leapfrog
20:17teabag and a shake rattle and knee drop
20:20Southern Justice then gets involved and Road Dogg gets put in his place
20:24Dennis Knight, who looks like he should be bouncing at some seedy strip bar, takes care of Jesse James with
20:29ease and Mark Canterbury does the same
20:32Big Henry Godwin has no time at all for Road Dogg's sick dance moves
20:35Double J gets in on the action too with a DDT but he bumps into the back of Road Dogg's
20:40head and James is able to tag in X-Pac
20:42The kid pulls off a jumping spinning heel kick and man, X-Pac's kicks were something else weren't they?
20:48He tries again against Phineas but that doesn't work out too well, an old Dennis Knight follows up with a
20:53vertical suplex
20:54Double J comes in, he tells DX to suck it and then that lunatic X-Pac goes for a standing
21:00bronco buster
21:00Again, it never, ever works, it's like Ric Flair going to the top rope
21:05X-Pac then takes a reverse wheelbarrow suplex from Canterbury and we're just waiting for Billy Gunn to clean house
21:11here aren't we?
21:12Double J's back in to apply a sleeper in a six man tag match, the arena shakes as the outlaws
21:17try to get their boy back into it
21:19X-Pac gets up and he applies a sleeper of his own and he counters Double J's counter with a
21:23back suplex
21:24Billy Gunn gets that hot tag and yeah, he wipes everyone out
21:28Jared takes a military press slam and he falls right in place for a bronco buster from X-Pac
21:33Canterbury then wipes X-Pac out with a clothesline while everyone else fights on the outside
21:38And Jared then grabs a guitar but Billy takes it away
21:41Billy tries to use the guitar in the ring but Tim Y takes it away from Billy before Canterbury gets
21:47whacked
21:47But this allows Jared to grab it again and on the outside Kid ends up getting the instrument smashed over
21:52his head
21:53Still, this doesn't stop Billy Gunn winning the match by hitting Knight with a Famouser
21:57It looks like Billy's gonna use the Famouser from now on as his main finish and that's a good thing
22:02He was using a pile driver for ages and then he started using a neck breaker
22:06The outlaws tend to their fallen degenerate on the outside
22:09It looks like X-Pac suffered an eye injury after that guitar shot as he continues to sell it back
22:14up the ramp
22:14Not a brilliant six-man tag to be honest, but the crowd helped a ton
22:18These fans in Hamilton have been great during this whole pay-per-view
22:27Main event time, Austin vs Undertaker vs Kane
22:30Undertaker and Kane are not allowed to pin each other or make each other submit as per orders made by
22:35Vince McMahon
22:35Mr McMahon is guaranteed that Austin will lose the bill tonight and he's kind of brought in the Undertaker and
22:42Kane as his personal henchman
22:43This rivalry's been ongoing since King of the Ring and what's more, it doesn't end after breakdown
22:49It's all about McMahon wanting the championship removed from Austin even if Vince has to make a deal with the
22:54devil himself
22:55The odds are ridiculously stacked against Stone Cold tonight as McMahon also announced if anyone helps Steve, then he's gonna
23:02get stripped of the belt
23:03But Stone Cold really doesn't care, he's still gonna get in the ring and he's still gonna fight two guys
23:08to try and keep his championship
23:09The question is, how are things gonna play out between Undertaker and Kane?
23:14I should mention too that during Sunday Night Heat, Austin disguised himself as a cameraman in order to attack Vince
23:20McMahon
23:20Kane and Taker tried to make the save but Austin got out of harm's way
23:24So Kane makes his way to the ring first and Austin launches an attack during the Undertaker's entrance
23:29Austin uses a chair to take out the Undertaker and Kane gets whacked too, it's a good start from Stone
23:35Cold
23:35Austin and Kane head down to the ring while the phenom licks his wounds at the entranceway
23:40Austin's early advantage looks to be in jeopardy when Kane performs a back elbow but the champ dodges the top
23:45rope clothesline
23:46The Undertaker makes his way down to the ring and Austin gets thrown to the outside
23:50Undertaker strikes Austin a few times but Stone Cold manages to throw the dead man into the ring steps
23:55before crotching Kane in between the ring post
23:58When Kane gets in the ring, Austin performs a stunner, luckily for Kane his big brother was there to break
24:03up the cover
24:04On the outside, Stone Cold tastes the ring post before getting brought back in for a chokehold
24:09The Undertaker then performs his jumping clothesline and Austin replies with a luthes press
24:14Stone Cold then takes the opportunity to get Kane out of the ring but this backfires shortly afterwards when Kane
24:20pulls Austin out for a beatdown
24:22The first sign of trouble between the brothers happens when Undertaker accidentally hits Kane
24:26It looks like they're able to sort the problem out quite quickly but then Austin shoves Undertaker into his brother
24:32The brothers then refocus on the task at hand and they work together to drop Austin on the commentary table
24:37But the brothers need to be a bit more careful
24:40Back in the ring, Austin tries valiantly to fight back but it's slowly becoming apparent that he can't overcome these
24:46odds
24:52The Stooges have shown up on the entrance way to get a closer look at the match
24:55Kane and Taker decide to bring Austin up the rampway so Briscoe, Slaughter and Patterson can enjoy the beatdown
25:01But Austin gets a rush of adrenaline and he fights the brothers of destruction off
25:05He then goes for a pile driver, Undertaker counters
25:08But still, Stone Cold has a lot of fight left in him and he decides to go after Jerry Briscoe
25:13It's absolutely chaotic as the WWF's commissioner lays the boots into Steve and the brothers of destruction also jump in
25:19to help the Stooges out
25:20Five guys against one right here and it's gonna take a miracle for Steve to get back into this
25:25The rattlesnake gets brought back in the ring, he's been beaten up pretty badly
25:29Kane chokes Austin while Undertaker works over the knee but Kane ends up getting distracted by the referee and Austin
25:35gives it one more try
25:36He breaks free from Undertaker's hold and he gives Kane a few right hands before turning his attention back to
25:41the dead man
25:42And just like that, a throat thrust puts Stone Cold right back down
25:46The audience try to wild Stone Cold back into it, they chant his name as he rolls out of the
25:51ring
25:51Austin then finds his steel chair and he cracks Kane with it
25:54He then tries to pin Kane but Undertaker gives him a taste of his own medicine
25:58When Undertaker covers Austin, the big red machine breaks it up
26:01So it looks like there's no agreement between the brothers in regards to who gets to pin Austin
26:06It happens again when Kane performs a diving attack on Stone Cold
26:09Kane covers Austin but Undertaker breaks up the cover
26:12The dead man then decides to attack his brother from behind
26:15But this backfires when Austin and Kane begin working together for just a brief moment
26:20The crowd pops as this unlikely alliance works well and Undertaker gets clotheslined out of the ring
26:26But Austin goes straight back to Kane for a fight and he pulls off a Russian leg sweep
26:30It is not enough to win this match of course
26:33Things return to normal when Undertaker gets back in the ring
26:36Taker even has a word with his brother to confirm that everything's good
26:39Stone Cold gets punished on the outside by Kane but again
26:43When Kane tries to cover Austin, the Undertaker breaks it up
26:46So the brothers start fighting and this is now Austin's best chance to win this
26:50A double clothesline puts both men down and Austin now likes his chances
26:54Stone Cold goes after both guys and he gets Undertaker out of the ring by launching Kane into him
26:59A body slam puts Stone Cold on the mat and Kane decides it's time for a spiked tombstone
27:04The move doesn't happen, Stone Cold again pushes Kane into his big brother
27:08And Austin then looks for a Stone Cold stunner
27:11The champ takes way too long in setting up the move and he ends up getting sent into the Undertaker
27:16for a big boot
27:17The match then ends with a double chokeslam, both Undertaker and Kane cover Austin and Austin loses the WWF Championship
27:24We don't have a winner, the winner isn't announced, but Austin lost and so Jerry Briscoe snatches the belt from
27:30Earl Hebner and he gives it to Vince McMahon
27:32The crowd boos the outcome and they don't care much when Austin attacks Briscoe
27:36Vince runs away to his limousine and he drives away as Stone Cold continues beating up the Stooges at the
27:41entranceway
27:42The show ends with Austin going outside the arena only to get greeted by McMahon holding the belt and giving
27:47Stone Cold the middle finger
27:49Vince says, it's mine and he drives off into the night
27:58Honestly, I'm not a fan of this main event, I understand how the stipulations play into the storyline but think
28:04of it this way
28:04If this happened in a WCW main event on pay per view during 1998 then people would still be complaining
28:10about it today
28:11Of course, the all out star part of the main event helps a lot with Austin being untouchable no matter
28:17what he did in 1998
28:18And indeed, the McMahon vs Austin storyline was so popular that anything they did was well received
28:23But personally, I didn't like the idea of this triple threat match and I didn't like how the ending played
28:29out either
28:29But it's only my opinion
28:31The whole pay per view, it's okay, but it's not must see
28:35The cage match is where you'll have the most fun and the opener was also good
28:39If you're a huge fan of Austin vs McMahon then you'll maybe get a bit more out of the main
28:44event
28:44But the way it was structured offered little opportunity for fans to get excited
28:48A shame too because the crowd was on fire during this whole show
28:52Anyway, thanks for watching, join me next week for reliving the war and we'll see what's next for Stone Cold
28:57and the WWF Championship
28:59I hope you enjoyed this one, and please, take care
