00:08Hi I'm Candice and I'm Michael Duenas and today I'm going to show you how to do a half braided
00:12headband. You want to start with completely wet hair. She's going to mist herself down with a
00:16spray bottle but I highly recommend getting out of the shower with saturated hair. Once you're
00:20finished wetting your hair down take conditioner, emulsify it very well in your palms and rake it
00:25from your scalp to your ends. So once you have finished running the conditioner through your
00:30hair take a paper towel and start from the ends of your hair and scrunch your hair all the way
00:34to
00:34your scalp. Do not use a normal terry cloth towel. This will pull the fibers of your hair apart. Use
00:39a t-shirt, paper towel or microfiber towel. So once you have scrunched all the moisture out of your
00:43hair flip your head back to move your hair into the place you want to be and then start diffusing
00:48until it's completely dry. Try not to touch it whatsoever with your hands. The less you touch
00:52your hair the less spritz you'll have. Once your hair is dry you want to flip your head
00:56upside down and scrunch from the ends of your hair all the way to your scalp. It's going
01:01to help them break apart the curls and give it more of a natural look. Once you have broken
01:04up all the product in your hair then you can flip your head back and you're ready to style.
01:09For the half braided headband you're going to start at a deep side parting, braid along your
01:13hairline to just past your temple and then you're going to start braiding towards the back
01:18of your head all with doing a French braid. Once you've braided to the round of your head
01:22in the back you're going to braid from your deep side parting to just past your temple
01:26and keep your French braid to the round of the back of your head. Once you've reached
01:30that point continue braiding normal down towards the side of your face. Braid halfway to the
01:35ends of your hair and secure it in elastic. Secure your braid with a bob pin towards the nape
01:40of your neck. And that's the half braided headband.
