00:13It's never sat right with me. So when I saw that there were other women that were
00:19like, we want to find out who killed Sister Kathy. You know, retired women,
00:25grandmothers that haven't let go of this. In September of 2013, people wanted to
00:31talk about it more. So we started the Justice for Catherine Sesnick and Joyce
00:34Malecki page. And it just sort of snowballed. The Facebook movement is a
00:40very grassroots movement that is led by some very strong women. Gemma and Abby,
00:47they started that Facebook page and they got more than they bargained for, I think.
00:53Kathy was in the front of the class and she started conversation with me. She
00:57asked me, was anyone making me do something that I didn't want to do? And I shook my head. She
01:03said,
01:03is it, is it the priest? And I shook my head and she said, oh, dear God, I, I thought
01:10as much. And
01:12she then hugged me and she said, I'm going to take care of this. The nurse would say,
01:18um, Father Maskell wants to see you. They both knew that I was walking down that
01:22hallway to hell. And, um, but then I think of Sister Kathy and I think, well, maybe
01:28they were scared to death that he was going to kill them. I had acknowledged to
01:32Kathy that there was something going on that was upsetting me. She said she would
01:36take care of it and she's dead. This woman, she died to help stop what was going on over there.
01:44And,
01:44because of the Justice for Kathy group, I'm finding another layer of that closure where I can say,
01:52okay. It's not just the investigation. It's become a network for a lot of abuse survivors.
02:01Where before everybody was separated and afraid, people are now talking together.
02:07Abby and Gemma and this grassroots movement has given me more confidence. I am more prepared now
02:17to meet other people who have been abused. I think it's very telling to see retired Keogh grads
02:26in their 60s, a bunch of women getting together to try to solve this. Where, where everyone else has
02:34failed us. They failed Sister Kathy. I want justice for all of us.
02:41It's like a little crack. And I personally feel that what I'm doing, facing my fear, is coming up to
02:51the crack and saying, hello, do you know we're here? It's still silent. But we're hearing each other,
02:59because we're all coming up to the crack. And what's happening is, is we're bumping into each other,
03:05coming to the crack. And before you know it, the pressure of that voice seeping through the crack
03:14is going to shatter.
03:18The
