00:24Hello, it's great to be with you, and I don't think anybody is going to complain especially
00:28about the weather. I'm Derek Ray, and sitting alongside me, ready to provide all the technical
00:33and tactical analysis, is Stuart Robson. And everyone here on tenterhooks, you'd have to
00:38say, with good reason. Your expectations? Yes, thanks as always. We've got two good teams
00:43here, so I'm anticipating a really good game. The atmosphere is electric inside the stadium
00:48before kick-off, and hopefully we're not disappointed.
01:08And this is how the hosts will begin the game today.
01:11Well, I have to say, it looks a really strong 3-4-3 line-up. The front three are very
01:15skillful,
01:16the midfield diamond has lots of energy, and the back three are good defenders, but also
01:20good on the ball. They're going to be tough to beat here.
01:39And this is the initial 11 for the visitors today.
01:42Well, they're going to play with two wingers here, but I'm just a little bit worried that
01:45the centre-forward could become isolated. Therefore, the midfield players need to get forward
01:50as much as possible in this 4-3-3 shape.
02:02Thank you. Enjoy the game.
02:22And away we go, the first half of this game.
02:32This looks more than decent.
02:35Can they do it?
02:37An early goal.
02:38It is the ideal opening.
02:53Well, here it is again.
02:54He goes past these markers so easily with just a drop of the shoulder,
02:57while the movement in the box is equal to it.
03:00It's such good timing.
03:01What a goal.
03:03And the ball moving again.
03:04What sort of response will we see from them now?
03:13That's how to dispossess your opponent.
03:26And support's available.
03:29He's in behind.
03:33And a clear foul.
03:45I think he'll be a bit cross with himself based on that free-kick.
03:49Not the execution he was looking for.
03:52Can he level it?
03:54Just failing to hit the target.
03:56Good effort, though.
04:07Oh, moving it nicely.
04:12Well, there was impending danger, but good defending.
04:15They got everything right there.
04:19Gustafsson has it.
04:25Nicely regaining possession.
04:41No let-up on the pressing front.
04:46Takes it on.
04:47And striking the post.
04:49But it wasn't going to stand in any case with the flag raised.
04:58Well, let's take another look.
04:59And there it is, just offside.
05:01Mind you, it was very close, wasn't it?
05:29Well, an eye-catching piece of solo play.
05:49Well, they have the ball once more.
05:54And there it breaks down, but credit to the defence.
06:03Now, moving it forwards.
06:06Real chance.
06:08Oh, great goalkeeping.
06:11Well, that's a top-quality save.
06:12Great anticipation.
06:29Trying to pick out a team-mate.
06:34Very alertly winning back possession.
06:42Could catch them on the break.
06:50Top-class defending.
06:55Chances on.
07:00Oh, still danger here.
07:03Just lost their way there.
07:08Elected to shoot.
07:10Nicely saved.
07:37Playing it in.
07:40Well, they weren't able to capitalise.
07:43Options opening up on the break.
07:48They might be through here.
07:53Oh, strong hands to push it clear.
07:56Excellent goalkeeping.
08:04Able to skip past his man.
08:07And the referee has added on two minutes of stoppage time.
08:14Danger building.
08:16Danger building.
08:21So, the whistle then.
08:22We're at the halfway stage in this match.
08:28I think most fans would be pretty happy with this man's display so far.
08:32He took his goal well and was a constant threat throughout that first half.
08:36I thought he showed a lot of skill to get out of tight situations.
08:39And he had a real impact on the plate.
08:48And away we go.
08:49The first half of this game.
08:54The first half of this game.
09:03Teams back in position.
09:05Second half underway.
09:21Nice use of the ball.
09:23Impending danger.
09:25Textbook closing down.
09:27And now they're on the attack.
09:29Oh, brilliant goalkeeping.
09:56And now they're on the attack.
10:15And now they're on the attack.
10:18And now they're on the attack.
10:18We will take offense by letting one score against moving on the back.
10:18And now they're on the attack.
10:18Yeah, and I get really quick.
10:18What's up for that game.
10:24Like me, please.
10:25Yeah, it was a good one.
11:33Who can he pick out?
11:38And possession changing hands.
11:51Might do damage on the brake.
11:56Still racing up the pitch.
12:00This could be the equaliser.
12:02Oh, but he's missed it.
12:04He's completely failed the test.
12:06Well, that was a big opportunity and they really should be level now.
12:10They have to be more clinical in front of goal.
12:26Effective challenge.
12:33Well, he's certainly not alone, but timely defending when it mattered.
12:37He's waiting for you.
12:44And he's in.
12:48And denied by the...
12:49And second time around, he scores.
12:52But the keeper left to wonder what his defenders were doing.
13:09The keeper can't do much more, can he?
13:11That was an excellent save to start with.
13:29And the ball is moving again.
13:31Two-nil as are at stands.
13:47Top class defending.
13:50And teammates around him.
13:54Oh, he looks threatening.
13:56Shooting.
13:57And that's a piece of goalkeeping you're going to see again and again and again.
14:11Trying to pick out a teammate.
14:14Safely away.
14:18And quick thinking defensively.
14:31A very effective challenge put in.
14:33Oh, it could be ascending off.
14:36And the red card has been produced.
14:39As the last defender, you have to be smarter and avoid those sort of tackles.
14:45Well, they are committed to making the substitution here.
15:02Well, they had it on target, but it was never going to trouble the keeper.
15:12He's stopping out the danger.
15:23Flowing here.
15:31And a useful cross.
15:33Mostly blocked, but he's got to get rid of it.
15:36The attack carried an initial threat, but fizzled out.
15:39That's the way to defend in those situations.
15:42Excellent stuff.
15:43It's looking promising.
15:47Oh, superb save.
15:49Massive credit to the keeper.
15:51Well, he's so hard to beat in these situations.
15:53It's brilliant goalkeeping.
15:57Time for a change then.
16:13Who can he pick out?
16:18Well, it did look promising for a bit.
16:20And firing it.
16:22Oh, fully stretched.
16:24Oh, well, it's a pitch.
16:24Oh, well, it's a pitch.
17:00High quality defending.
17:04Good example of pressing without the ball.
17:12Well, he's certainly not alone.
17:16Oh, well, it's a pitch.
17:18Oh, well, it's a pitch.
17:24Searching for the angle.
17:26Unable to finish.
17:28And that might have sealed their fate.
17:30Yeah, frustration all round.
17:57Well, a stylish moment.
18:01And that is that.
18:03The referee blows his whistle for full time.
18:05And it's a victory for the visitors.
18:08Well, they'll play a lot better than they did today
18:10and not win the game.
18:12This looks more than decent.
18:13And beautiful, be on this point.
18:21And I'll see you next time.
18:23Bye-bye.
18:23Bye-bye.
18:24Bye-bye.
18:25Bye-bye.
18:28Bye-bye.
18:29Bye-bye.
18:30Bye-bye.
18:31Bye-bye.
