00:00the 28th of October will go down in Milwaukee history as the day that the Brewers finally won
00:06their first World Series title. And I gotta say, you know, we don't always say it, but it feels
00:15like the best team pretty much all year long won themselves a championship. Not like that in every
00:23sport every year, but I think the Brewers safely can be crowned. You didn't get hot in a month
00:29and run the table. They were pretty much the best, whether we wanted to see it or not throughout
00:35the entire season. Well, you'll get no argument from me on that one. I think that that's that's
00:41accurate. You know, you could have said last year if the Blue Jays won that the best team didn't win,
00:46but the hottest team won because the Blue Jays got hot at the end of the season and were within
00:50inches of winning the World Series. You could say the year the Texas Rangers won the World Series
00:54over the Arizona Diamondbacks a few years ago that what the heck happened that season? How did that
00:58World Series even happen where those two teams just caught fire at the end of the season? But Joe,
01:03you just said it. The Brewers from start to finish were baseball's best team. And, you know, one could
01:09make the case the Rays were baseball's second best team. And just look how Milwaukee more or less
01:15dismantled Tampa Bay in this series. The only win that the Rays had was a comeback 12th inning walk-off
01:22win. I mean, other than that, the Brewers dominated every game of the postseason more or less. I mean,
01:29yeah, there's a couple of close games in there, but all the credit goes to them. Just great scouting,
01:35great development, great drafting, great managing, great players, great bullpen. And yeah, like, you
01:41know, the conversations every time a team wins a championship, we always want to start that. Oh,
01:46is this the beginning of a dynasty? Well, of course it's not the beginning. There are no dynasties in
01:50sports anymore, but you would expect Milwaukee to be in a similar situation next season where they are
01:57competing once again for 90 wins, 100 wins competing in the postseason because they have the secret sauce
02:04that very few teams have in the big leagues where they're able to use analytics, but also use some of
02:09the other old school methods in order to get the job done, such as pushing guys over from here to
02:13there.
02:14Uh, you got a hot rookie at the end of the season. Of course, Cooper Pratt, that didn't hurt. Chorio
02:19had a
02:19good series. Contreras, uh, uh, with the, uh, yeah, Contreras, what am I, am I, am I getting the catcher's
02:26right here? William, William, yeah. Uh, okay. He was the MVP and, and Mizorowski, uh, was not the MVP, but
02:34you,
02:35you knew the Brewers were going to win after he, even though he got, he was hurt. He came out
02:38five innings.
02:39You're like, all right, that's it. Like he's on tonight. So yeah, Joe, I mean, I, I, I got, I
02:45don't
02:45have much more to add than you, than you said. You sort of summed it up. It was the best
02:48team from
02:48beginning to end. What, what are we going to make of this? There's nothing else to make of it. It's
02:52true. Well, and it's funny because I, I, everything that I've read, their farm system is one of the tops
03:01in major league baseball. So they've got a lot of young guys on this roster as it is that are
03:08coming
03:08up. Who knows what the salary cap may or may not be, but for the most part, it feels like
03:15this
03:15Brewers team has been built and is set up no matter what happens from that. They're going to be in
03:21the
03:21conversation, uh, next year without a doubt and should be as defending champions. It's not like
03:27this team is going to go anywhere. Now we saw Toronto to your point a year ago, they got hot
03:32at
03:32the right time, came just so close and fell short, but this year they were a disaster. Uh, I don't
03:39see
03:40that happening with this Brewers team. No. And the other thing too, is that you, you always want to
03:45look at a team and it always starts with pitching and there's nothing against Trey Savage last season,
03:50but Joey sort of came out of nowhere a little bit and dominated in the post season. And then, you
03:55know,
03:55his season this year was, I mean, he was hurt. He was pitching a little bit, but Mr. Rowski is
03:59an
04:00ace. Okay. Mr. Rowski is the Cy Young award winner and he's coming back. So you start there and then
04:06you can kind of fill everything else because they're pitching, you know, that they have a
04:09factory there. It doesn't matter who comes up and pitches as their two, three, four or five. The guy
04:13pitches well, you know, their bullpen is set too. And then they'll piece together the offense like
04:17they always do. And they'll find young guys to come up. I believe they have the number one
04:21prospect in all of baseball as well. Uh, Jesus made of M a D E is his name. I think
04:26it's actually,
04:27that's his name, but, but, uh, I think I believe he's number one in all of baseball,
04:30number one prospect. He's on Milwaukee and all of baseball. So, uh, yeah, they're, they're in really
04:35good shape. We didn't even see Lara, the other outfielder play a lot in this series. He played a
04:40lot in the NLCS. He didn't even play in the world series, another good outfielder. So yeah,
04:45they're built to win, but they do have to catch lightning in a bottle. I think to win
04:50a world series like this, they did get hot at the end of the season, like super hot at
04:56the end. Uh, and that's going to be required if you don't have the slug that some of the
05:01other teams do like Philadelphia, like Atlanta, like the Mets, like the Dodgers, well, the Mets
05:05hypothetically, but Yankees, Red Sox, they don't have those home run hitters, but they, uh,
05:10they station to station work for them opportune times, making the right calls. Certainly everyone
05:16feels like they got the right manager there, Joe. I don't think it's hard to argue against
05:20that. And so, yeah, well, they'd be back next season. Sure. But to, to guarantee a world
05:24series or anything like that, I can't go that far, but playoffs. Absolutely. I would, I would
05:29predict that.
