03:29Mi snare drum es up,
03:30so I'm getting a nice karate chop.
03:32I can just line drive, boom,
03:34right into the backbeat, rim shot,
03:36and then tap.
03:41So now if we play the right hand with the right foot.
04:20And all that is,
04:26Steve also would just accent just beat four
04:30and leave two alone,
04:31so that would be this.
04:32One, two, three, four.
04:33One, two, three, four.
04:39No, three, four.
05:18Now we're free to change the Hyatt Astonados to the ands.
05:38So from there I was able to understand all of these other drummers or just play.
06:12We'll be right back.
06:14And then start playing other things because now I understood the relationship of where
06:18those ghost notes can be in between the bass drum notes, played with them, the spaces.
06:24And as I got older and improved, I was able to experience that freedom of being able to
06:30play the notes wherever I want to put them.
06:32So that was really the big giant key to the city when I got that from Steve that just
06:38opened up all these possibilities and made me a man.
06:44Well, thank you for watching.
06:47Steve was kind enough to pass this information on to me back in 1981.
06:51So I'm happy to pass this on to you.
06:54Thanks for watching and we'll see you soon.
07:13Bye.
07:14Bye.
