04:01Tonight we are getting into some WWE stuff
04:03Some AEW stuff
04:04A little bit of everything
04:05And a little bit of free agent conversation
04:07Let's start with WWE's internal reaction
04:10To Ilya Dragunov joining AEW
04:13Which is said to be extremely complimentary
04:15Not just from a talent perspective
04:18And people who he had a personal relationship with
04:20But even at the executive level
04:22Everybody seems to be very happy for Ilya
04:24He left on good terms
04:26He wanted an amount of money
04:28That WWE didn't currently think was worth the investment in him
04:32He is going to AEW
04:33He's going to get to wrestle some incredible matches
04:35It's probably going to raise his stock
04:38Now, WWE kind of takes a gamble here
04:41If he goes to AEW and he loves it there
04:43And he loves the freedom
04:44And he loves the physicality
04:46And all that stuff
04:47There's a chance you never get to sign him again
04:49I mean, I really don't think
04:51After seeing Matt Jackson come out this week
04:53Talking about how much he loves Tony Khan
04:55And he would do anything for him
04:56I don't think WWE is ever going to see the Young Bucks
04:58Kenny Omega, Hangman Page
04:59Any of those guys
05:00So, you know, if Ilya goes there
05:02And has a great time
05:03There's a chance you never get to see him again
05:04So, it's great that it's amicable
05:06I'm happy to hear that
05:08You're obviously talented
05:09He was friendly with
05:09Obviously are going to support him
05:11But the fact that the company has this perspective
05:13And it's very complimentary
05:14Is really encouraging
05:16Because there's such tribalism in pro wrestling
05:18There's so much frustration between WWE and AEW
05:21Sometimes they've taken some pot shots at each other
05:24Every now and again
05:25But this is professional
05:26And I think a lot of it boils down to
05:28The professional manner in which
05:29Dragunov always carried himself in WWE
05:31And everybody in that company
05:33Sounds like he's wishing him the best
05:35Along the same lines
05:36Will Ospreay was doing an interview this week
05:38And part of his interview
05:39Was he was asked about
05:41Whether or not he sees himself
05:43Ever going to WWE
05:45And he felt the need to respond
05:47In what I think is the most
05:49Neutral way possible
05:51He said being asked about joining WWE
05:53Is just part of the gig
05:55It's part of what is expected of him
05:58Now he did emphasize
06:00That he'd rather focus his energies
06:02On building AEW
06:03He believes that AEW
06:05Is changing the face of professional wrestling
06:07He thinks that they are the best
06:08Professional wrestling company in the world
06:11And I'd be hard pressed to argue with him
06:13Maybe people in New Japan
06:14Might have a little bit of an issue with that
06:16Because they put on a phenomenal product as well
06:18But WWE
06:20Though they have phenomenal wrestling
06:22They are very much storyline driven
06:24And they focus their energies
06:26On a lot of talking segments
06:28Especially on Raw
06:29It's not always about the in-ring for WWE
06:31Whereas in AEW
06:33There's much less in terms of storyline building
06:35And a lot of matches
06:36Look at the difference between pay-per-views
06:38Five to six matches at a WWE PLE
06:41Whereas you're getting 10 to 12 at an AEW show
06:43It's a very different approach to pro wrestling
06:45I actually had no problem with anything Will said here
06:48And shockingly
06:49In past interviews
06:50Will has been rather outspoken about WWE
06:54Especially when he won the AEW World Championship
06:57At All In in Wembley
06:58He basically threw out a challenge to WWE
07:00Not to step to AEW again
07:02In terms of counter-programming
07:03This interview is much more reserved
07:07Laid back and respectful
07:09I don't know if that's because he doesn't
07:10You know
07:11You have to say certain things
07:12To support the brand you work for
07:14But at the end of the day
07:15You also don't want to ever burn a bridge
07:16Because you never know
07:17What's going to come down the pike
07:18Whenever his contract is up
07:21Look I know a few years ago
07:22He was talking about
07:23He didn't know how much longer
07:23He could do this for
07:24Because of the toll
07:25It was taken on his body
07:27Perhaps he never ends up in WWE
07:28Maybe he stays a lifer in AEW
07:30Maybe he wrestles a long long time there
07:33I am somebody who believes
07:35That there is nothing
07:36That benefits a talent
07:38From being able to say
07:38Yeah and I never went there
07:40What does that mean?
07:41That means you never applied your craft
07:43On the biggest stage of them all
07:46That's the way I look at it
07:47Now look I get it
07:48You don't have to love WWE
07:50You could like AEW better than WWE
07:52I have no problem with any of that
07:54But there is no question
07:56No matter what metric you use
07:57I used to love how Eric Bischoff
07:59Would talk about ECW's claims
08:01That they were the number two promotion
08:02When they clearly never were
08:04The same thing goes for WWE and AEW
08:06WWE is never going to be
08:09Second place to AEW
08:10In any metric that matters
08:12Whether it's ticket sales
08:14Total overall revenue
08:15International distribution
08:16Merchandise sales
08:18Memorabilia
08:19All that stuff
08:20Every metric you could possibly imagine
08:22WWE wins
08:24So it's not about first and second place
08:26So for me
08:27I hope every talent
08:28Who is meaningful in this business
08:30At least gets one run with WWE
08:33So they can have applied their trade
08:35For the largest audience
08:36Because there is another way to look at it too
08:38And I'm not knocking AEW
08:39I love AEW
08:40I do
08:41And I think they're one of the best places
08:43In the world to work
08:44But here's the thing
08:45Right?
08:45Think about who watches AEW
08:48It's people like you
08:49People like me
08:50We tune into all the best wrestling in the world
08:53But here's what AEW
08:55Doesn't have enough of
08:57The young kids
08:58The families
08:59I'm not saying they don't fill arenas
09:01Of course they do
09:02But AEW
09:04Does not have the distribution
09:06WWE does
09:07So if you're a Will Ospreay
09:08If you're a Kenny Omega
09:10If you're people like that
09:11Who have not been in WWE
09:12At least Kenny hasn't been since he was in
09:14I think it was HWA
09:16Or maybe it was DSW
09:17Whatever it was
09:19He ended up leaving there
09:20Back in WWE Developmental
09:22Has never gone back
09:22If you never make it to their main roster
09:25It's not just about your experience
09:27Of not being there
09:28It's also about
09:29The number of young kids
09:30The fans
09:31Who never get the opportunity
09:32Because their parents
09:34Are much more familiar with WWE
09:35They never get to Kenny Omega
09:37They never get to see Will Ospreay
09:39Kazuchika Okada
09:41Konosuke Takeshka
09:42People like this
09:43Kyle Fletcher
09:45I actually think Kyle Fletcher
09:46At some point
09:46Will make his way to WWE
09:48I think MJF
09:49Will make his way there
09:50At some point
09:50And if they don't
09:51It'll be a travesty
09:52Because the largest number of people
09:55Will never get to appreciate
09:56How worldly talented they are
09:59And they are
09:59When they say
10:00It's the best wrestling in the world
10:02To some people
10:02They really are
10:03Even in my opinion
10:04I think they put on
10:05Some of the best
10:05Professional wrestling matches
10:06But that's all the more reason
10:08That young people
10:10Need to be able to see them
10:11And there are not as many
10:12Going to be able to see them
10:13In AEW
10:14So I loved
10:16Will's response here
10:17I thought it was super respectful
10:18Super on point
10:20And it definitely didn't slam the door
10:23On that being a possibility
10:24In the future
10:25Somebody who you also may see
10:27In an AEW ring very soon
10:29Tyree Sane
10:30There are said to be
10:32Multiple offers on the table
10:34Right now for her
10:35But here is the issue
10:36She has visa concerns
10:38Just like many talents right now
10:40Ilya had those
10:41Sheamus may have those
10:42If he comes back
10:43Things like that
10:45The issue is Roosh
10:46Roosh is another one
10:47Who's having those issues right now
10:48His visa expired
10:49He's not going to get another one
10:50Until January
10:50But when it comes to
10:52Kyrie Sane
10:52She cannot get a visa
10:54Here in the United States
10:55Until she has an employer
10:57Who sponsors the visa
10:59So she has not signed
11:00With AEW yet
11:01Because she cannot get a visa
11:02Because she doesn't have
11:03A contract anywhere yet
11:04So AEW has to be willing
11:06To hire her
11:07Pay her
11:08And take wait
11:10For her visa issues
11:11To get resolved
11:12Before debuting her
11:13Probably similar to
11:14What they just did
11:15With Ilya Dragunov
11:15Now
11:16I don't know if
11:17Kyrie's coming to AEW
11:18She may want to do
11:20A tour of TNA
11:20Or CMLL
11:21I know there's a lot
11:22Of strong ties to

11:25Maybe she wants to
11:26Give it a whirl
