04:13Tonight, we are talking WWE, money in the bank, reactions and results and analysis.

04:20I'm going to be honest with you.

04:21I'm bittersweet on the show.

04:22Let's start it off with the Roman Reigns versus LA Knight match.

04:25I felt like the match was incredible.

04:27The fans were so into this, the This Is Awesome chants that were going on were absolutely appropriate.

04:33LA Knight is worldly talented.

04:36He is a guy who, in any other situation, I feel like would absolutely be a world champion, probably more

04:41than one time over.

04:42The problem is, he happens to be hot at a time when Roman Reigns is basically the biggest draw in

04:48the company, and on the other brand, Cody Rhodes is.

04:51And even when Cody's not champion, he's still a bigger draw, so he's more realistic to put into the world

04:56championship picture than somebody like LA Knight.

04:59LA Knight has gotten over organically with the crowd.

05:01The people love him, and I think there were a lot of people tonight that were really frustrated that he

05:06didn't get a chance to have the championship.

05:07But I think we're all smart enough to see why that is.

05:10We're heading towards Roman versus Oba.

05:13That's just what it is.

05:14So everything we do between now and April is pretty much for nothing.

05:18And that's part of the problem.

05:20You should never have had Oba tease that match after WrestleMania.

05:23Oba should have come out and should have talked about other people, not talked about the world championship.

05:28Because now everybody knows the cat's out of the bag.

05:31You can't keep that hidden from the people.

05:33We all know what the plan is.

05:34So every time there's a match between now and then, we're not going to care.

05:38We're just not going to care.

05:40And I said this the other day.

05:41It's like, where do you go from here?

05:43Because you have to put on monthly pay-per-views.

05:44You have to make them matter.

05:45Now, I get it.

05:46In November, we'll be able to have Survivor Series.

05:47I'm sure he'll be in a War Games match.

05:49So that'll take care of that one.

05:50December, he'll probably skip.

05:52They'll do that by offsetting his not being there with the appearance of the WWE Championship.

05:58Royal Rumble season, he's going to have to have a match at the Royal Rumble.

06:02Let's be honest.

06:02That's just a foregone conclusion.

06:04It's what they do every single year.

06:06And then maybe he'll skip the next one because he won't have to be at Elimination Chamber.

06:09Because we'll be setting him up for WrestleMania.

06:12Where Oba will have either won the Royal Rumble or he will win the Chamber, one or the other, and

06:16then challenge Roman.

06:16So you can see how it maps out.

06:18I just don't like that the championship means nothing between now and then, which is odd when you think about

06:24it.

06:24Because after the show tonight, when they were doing the media scrum, or whatever you want to call it afterwards,

06:29the after party,

06:31he basically talked about how he made that championship the most sought-after prize in the company.

06:36How?

06:36How does everybody want his title when it's never even on television?

06:39It's so rarely defended.

06:41That's not the most prestigious championship to me.

06:44Because what?

06:44Because you disappear?

06:45That makes it prestigious because when you come in, people really want to see you lose.

06:49To me, that's not prestige.

06:50Prestige is when you watch something that has legacy, lineage.

06:53It's defended honorably as frequently as possible against some of the greatest challengers as possible.

06:59Now, look, I'll give Roman Reigns his due.

07:00He won tonight.

07:01He won clean.

07:02He won by himself.

07:03That's something that has become the hallmark of this reign, which makes this reign better than his previous reign of

07:09terror.

07:09And I'm okay with that.

07:10That's why I'm not upset that he's champion.

07:12I just want the people to understand that when Roman is doing this, nobody else has a chance.

07:18Not even the Money in the Bank winner, which we'll get to later.

07:20After we have Roman Reigns win his match and keep his championship, we do have the 946 coming to the

07:26ringside area.

07:27They're up in the crowd, and they don't notice that the Usos and Solo are right behind them.

07:31Now, I don't love the absence of Jacob.

07:33I understand he's selling the car hit and whatnot.

07:37This should have gone down differently, in my opinion.

07:39This should have been a full-on brawl, and a fourth member should have been added to 946 to make

07:44the numbers work out in their favor.

07:46Instead, there's a brawl all the way back through the concourse of the stadium where, oddly, there's no fans anywhere,

07:53which, if you've ever been to any sporting event, doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

07:57So, you know, in a world of wrestling where you're supposed to suspend disbelief, no one's going to believe that

08:01they basically quarantined off a whole section of an arena with nothing pre-planned.

08:06That's kind of ludicrous.

08:07It makes the program look weak.

08:08I would have had people there.

08:09It makes it more realistic.

08:11You know, you could have security there to make sure nobody gets involved, but I would have had people there.

08:15From there, they battle all the way outside the arena.

08:16They end up seeing a 946 jump in a car and take off.

08:20It's furthering the feud, but I really want to see something in the ring at some point.

08:23All this thuggish backstage stuff, I'm kind of over that.

08:26I really am.

08:27If you're a person paying top dollar, especially WWE prices, to be in a stadium, you want to see this

08:31action.

08:31You don't want to be watching it on a jumbotron.

08:33That's like watching it on TV.

08:34I can do that when I get home.

08:35Anyways, let's get off of the Roman Reigns situation.

08:37Let's go to the Women's Money in the Bank ladder match.

08:40This was solid, and I'm going to be honest.

08:42I'm really disappointed.

08:43I really wanted to see Roxanne Perez win because I thought it made a lot of sense for storytelling and

08:47things coming up in the future, and this is not what happens.

08:51And WWE books the lazy outcome.

08:54They give it back to Tiffany Stratton.

08:55You did not need to give Tiffany Stratton the win here to set up her and Chelsea.

09:00It was pretty much written in stone that that was going to happen anyways.

09:03No need for a Money in the Bank cash-in.

09:05The Money in the Bank cash-in should be a surprise.

09:07It should be a shocker.

09:08Roxanne having it and cashing in on the world champion would be far more interesting than Tiffany Stratton cashing in

09:15on her best buddy, Chelsea Green.

09:17I think it's very lazy booking to me, and no one's taken a chance.

09:21You had five other competitors that have never been world champion.

09:25You could have given any of them a rub by giving them this championship opportunity.

09:28Even if they cashed in and lost, it would mean more to those people than it does Tiffany Stratton, who's

09:33already established.

09:34She's a main event female talent.

09:35She's in a program working with Chelsea Green, the current women's WWE champion.

09:40It just felt like really lazy booking to me.

09:43I was impressed with the match.

09:45I really was.

09:46I was not impressed with the finish.

09:47Taking the briefcase and whacking Lash Legend in the head a few times and then pushing her down the ladder.

09:53She didn't even take a big bump off the ladder.

09:55She just kind of fell down the ladder and pushed her in the head and then grabbed the briefcase.

09:59It was so anticlimactic.

10:00It was terrible.

10:01You know, there should have been a Pop Rocks off the ladder.

10:04There should have been, you know, I love the Soul Snatcher off the ladder, but there should have been more

10:08than one Soul Snatcher.

10:09There was just so much more that could have been done in this match.

10:12Even though it was phenomenal, and I'm sure the ladies, I love the ladder spot where they fall outside the

10:17ring.

10:17I thought that was awesome.

10:18Love Soul Ruka's splash on Legend through the ladder.

10:21I was a little worried that Ruka looked like she missed her spot a little bit, went a little too

10:25far, and I was afraid she might have cracked her head on the floor.

10:27So all that stuff was phenomenal.

10:29I just don't like the ending sequence or the winner of the match.

10:32I think they could have done a lot better.

10:34Then we go into Obafemi facing off with Bronson Reed.

10:37Big, meaty, man match, which is, you know, Big E would always say.

10:41And look, it was a very good match, you know, for what it was.

10:45There's a whole situation where Brass Knuckles could have come in and stuff like that.

10:50But at no point in time did I feel like Obafemi was in trouble.

10:55I think everybody knew that Oba was going to win this because he has to stay super strong for Roman.

11:02I also am not surprised that when you see things like Division get involved because, you know, even though they

11:07didn't get the job done, they have to be involved to keep the feud going because this is how we're

11:11tying Oba up until he's ready to face Roman.

11:13Waste of time, if you ask me, especially with what happens later on in the show because that is more

11:19confounding than anything.

11:20Then we go to the Women's World Championship Triple Threat Match.

11:23Liv Morgan, Becky Lynch, Stephanie Vakura, the defending champion.

11:26And on my prediction episode, I said I wasn't sure.

11:29Vakura Lynch, Vakura Lynch.

11:31There was only one person I did not want to win this match, and that was Liv Morgan.

11:34And, of course, who wins?

11:36Freaking Liv Morgan.

11:37Her fourth run with the championship.

11:39She did not need this.

11:41She really did.

11:42Now, if you were going to give her this, then you should have given Roxanne the win earlier and had

11:45Roxanne cash in right away.

11:47But you didn't do that.

11:48You gave the championship win earlier or the Money in the Bank win earlier to Tiffany Stratton.

11:52Why didn't she come out right away and challenge?

11:54She and her bestie could have been co-world champions at the same time and faced each other crown jewel,

11:59which would be far more interesting to me than seeing Liv Morgan face Chelsea Green.

12:04I don't see any sense in that unless you're just doing that to have Chelsea get beat down, probably by

12:09Judgment Day interference, to have Tiffany Stratton cash in in Saudi Arabia.

12:13I think that's a terrible idea, but that's what I see.

12:16I don't see any sense that this made to put the championship on Liv.

12:20I really don't.

12:20I think it's a horrible booking decision.

12:23Again, you know, and look, I get it.

12:25Liv's an incredible talent, but she's had the belt too much.

12:27It's gotten boreous, laborious, if anything.

12:30And we need Judgment Day to wrap up, not continue this streak of terror.

12:34They're getting to, like, Roman Reigns level of time where, like, they needed to go away.

12:38And this is, like, bad go away.

12:40This isn't like, I don't like you.

12:41It's like, I don't even want to see you kind of go away.

12:44And that's not her fault.

12:45She's a phenomenal talent.

12:47They need to book her better.

12:48And they just aren't, you know?

12:50And she's been a heel so long.

12:51Maybe it's time for a face turn.

12:53I don't know.

12:53They got to do something with her because this is just not working for me.

12:56And then when it gets to the final match, the men's Money in the Bank ladder match, I predicted that

13:01Penta was going to win this match.

13:02I'm thankful that my prediction came true.

13:05That's fantastic.

13:05I think Penta deserves the win.

13:07I think Penta's going to do great things with that opportunity.

13:09However, looking at everything else that took place tonight, if you're going to further the few of the Vision and

13:15Oba, then Braun Breaker probably should have won this match.

13:18He should have a championship opportunity.

13:20I thought this guy was supposed to be the future of the business.

13:22And instead, he's been pushed so far down the ladder in so many different ways.

13:26I don't know how you ever rehabilitate him to make him a credible championship threat again if they don't start

13:31putting the pedal to the metal with this guy.

13:33The match was solid.

13:34Okay?

13:34There was nothing wrong with the match.

13:36There could have been more high spots for me.

13:38I would have liked some better.

13:40I would have loved some outside interference.

13:41It really would have mattered.

13:43But we've got none of that stuff that really captivated the audience.

13:48I think it was interesting to see Javon Evans' huge spot flying through the truck.

13:52I thought that was absolutely hilarious.

13:53And it looked far more dangerous than I'm sure it was.

13:58Obviously, he's not flying through a metal roof of a truck.

14:01It's kind of ludicrous.

14:02So, again, it kind of goes to what I said earlier about the 946 battling through an empty arena.

14:07It's not realistic.

14:08And we're supposed to suspend disbelief.

14:09And you can't when they make it so just absolutely absurd.

14:12But the physicality in this was great.

14:15I love that Punk and Kevin Owens didn't have the win.

14:19I would have been okay with anybody else, really.

14:21But I really thought Penta or Braun needed this.

14:24Now, Penta got it.

14:25That's great.

14:25But now Braun is, again, once again, back in limbo.

14:27We don't know what's going on with him, how soon he's going to get a main event push again.

14:30And that's a flaw.

14:31That's really a flaw if you're asking me.

14:33That's just my opinion.

14:35I've been giving the show's star ratings.

14:37You know, I'm not Dave Meltzer.

14:39You know, I don't have this crazy, kooky system that he uses to give ratings.

14:42And I'll never go above five stars because I think that defeats the point of a five-star rating system.

14:47If I'm looking at this show, I'm going to be honest with you.

14:49I liked a lot of the physicality.

14:50I liked some of the matches.

14:51I liked what they did.

14:52I liked some of the winners.

14:53But the winners that I liked were all predictable.

14:55The ones that weren't are trash.

14:57In my opinion.

14:58The Women's Money in the Bank winner and the Women's World Championship winner.

15:01I think both are horrible, horrible decisions.

15:03That being said, I'm giving this show a three out of five.

15:06And that's me, honestly, in a lot of ways.

15:07I feel like I'm being generous with three out of five.

15:09I feel like they could have done so much more and they just didn't.

15:12A little disappointed.

15:13But, you know, we've got Crown Jewel coming up.

15:15We've got Survivor Series.

15:16Hopefully they get back on track and do some really exciting stuff.

15:19We'll have to wait and see.
