00:37Come on. What's up, y'all? I'm James. This is Rex. We're with Tropidelic. Right now, we're

00:43on tour with Little Stranger for the Broken Heart of Boys tour. We're in Chicago tonight.

00:46Yeah. We just put out a new album called First Light in June, and we're stoked to show

00:50you our tour bus. Welcome to our home. All right, let's talk about entertainment. The

00:56TV is rarely used. Rarely used, but so here's the thing. We're a Cleveland band. We're from

01:02Cleveland. Within the past couple of years, we had a couple new crew members join, a couple

01:06new members, and everybody's kind of from all over the place now. On Sundays, it's very important

01:11that even though there's only two real Browns fans on the bus, this is a Browns TV. It's

01:15important to know that, yeah, this is a Browns only, Cleveland Browns only bus. Cleveland

01:19band. No other sports teams are allowed. Only Cleveland sports teams, despite half of the

01:25other guys being from everywhere else and having different favorite teams. We ridicule

01:29them. We let them know. I will say it's nice to throw on, like, a YouTube blog and fire

01:34sometimes. We do do the fireplace. It's not a fireplace on the bandwagon, so we do use that

01:39as, like, our chill, calm, feel warm in the winter months vibe. Yeah. We slipped this off

01:44the road, like, a February or two ago on Valentine's Day. On Valentine's Day, yeah. This is just a quick

01:49story. We were in a snowstorm. Our sound guy at the time, who's now our bass player, he took a

01:54wrong

01:55turn down Seven Hill Road in a snowstorm, and, uh, yeah, we had a good time. Yeah, log almost

02:02rolled off a fire. Yeah, yeah, yeah, and a fireplace ended up being okay, but yeah. You guys use it

02:07to, uh, you hook the switch up. They'll play, like, Mario Kart. We got the Nintendo Switch back here.

02:13We got some headphones. We played about a hundred and sixty Mario Kart races last tour, a few tours ago.

02:23It was just me and our bass player, Jim, and I think we tied. It was, like, it was, like,

02:2981 to 80 or something

02:31at the end of the tour. A lot of Mario Kart. Uh, Virginia Beach knows me as the Mario Kart

02:36King.

02:36We take this thing everywhere, you know. It's, uh, it's a good time. But yeah, TV used for grounds only

02:42or switch.

02:44yeah the occasional game yeah this is our porch chair yeah which is actually

02:50really nice because we got like 10 people rolling on this thing at one

02:53point this tour we had 12 people with photographers and stuff there's only

02:56nine beds there's not that many seats either so it's pretty great chair what

03:00does suck about this chair is that if you need to get into the fridge you need

03:04to scooch over and if you need to get into the drawer you need to scooch over

03:07but anybody who sits there kind of accepts that and appreciates it you don't

03:10have to feel bad about asking the person to move it's just the spot it's

03:13sometimes feels weird too when the bus is going that way and you're sitting

03:16here but it is comfy it's just different than the couches you need the sitting

03:21space yeah it's just to sit by yourself and not like with three other people so

03:26it's good and bad it's all the seats good and bad yeah yeah

03:29let's see let's go to the fridge we have a half-ripped something of a sheet of a

03:34pink dude this is sick actually more importantly this magnet bottle opener we

03:40were just in Mississippi we went to the Gulf Coast Gator Ranch on a day off

03:43we were in the hand to absolute time of our lives it was terrifying it's like

03:49fifteen five gators there's fifty forgeters it was like over 300 in this

03:52whole place and then we went to the fan boat it was wild one of the coolest things

03:55we've ever done on tour just like on an off day there's it was sweet yeah

03:58man we got a little gerbil or hamster screaming like what's that famous

04:03painting scream scream that's the name of the paint that's the painting yeah right

04:07all right nobody so I better go yeah I think it is called the screen yeah I think

04:12you're right usually it's the man down there that's like yeah yeah that was a

04:15birthday gift right my little sister got that for my birthday Rex turned 30 on this

04:19tour in St. Louis yeah yeah they got me this chain ice me out

04:27yeah I mean yeah there's been some I think there's another magnet on here I was missing

04:31these are cool these are just some like gifts we just got these go a long way honestly we

04:35haven't touched them yet because we just got them but we got some mad lib stuff here got

04:39some relaxing brain games for adults it's inappropriate I think better me yeah it's

04:46like logic it's like math word problems that are like we're very well a lot of

04:50innuendos we're a sophisticated band yeah very sophisticated we can go through the

04:55fridge yeah freezer got some pizza rolls we got these breakfast sandwiches these are

05:00very hot item everybody loves those Jimmy Dean should sponsor the band Jim hey this is

05:06our bass player Jim what's up guys how you doing welcome Jim fresh back from the Jim yeah we're

05:11talking about Jimmy Dean sausage breakfast sandwiches a lot of Jim's yeah yeah yeah

05:16we'll do his his stick in a second he's not just a bass player but uh yeah we got some

05:23probably Jim's as well these berries have been sick too uh big protein shake bands yeah we couldn't

05:29tell yeah yeah I got protein in my coffee but it does and then ask you gotta have Emily only

05:36pizza rolls

05:36from time to time yeah we love it yeah yeah high protein band and pizza rolls yeah moving down

05:42uh sugar-free Red Bull big ride ride on our rider I'm wanting to change it go to another energy

05:49these are kind of weak uh yeah we got a lot of this is more like personal stuff in here

05:54some leftovers

05:55going on cold brew um lemonade nothing too exciting here yeah lemonade for our Jimmeritas yeah yeah we'll

06:02talk about that we got Oatly for our Jimmeritas or now Oatly excuse me for our Jim bucks we'll get

06:07there

06:08we'll get there yeah yeah there's not a lot of exciting stuff in the fridge not a lot of exciting

06:11stuff I I personally have some salami these are great we love these the ginger turmeric like

06:18immunity shots he's like we ripped these yeah we stole these from jarve and damn skip these rider

06:25because we were jealous and they're delicious yeah we do we love we love those yeah so that'll come out

06:31eventually we don't really eat we don't really use hummus that's a big rider item for us yeah

06:38hummus is great a lot of us intermittent fast you know we go throughout our day and it's just like

06:44dinner by choice or not yeah yeah by choice or not but it's crazy like we woke up in Chicago

06:49today

06:49and I don't really eat like when I wake up and then we went and got coffees now we're hanging

06:54out with

06:54you right after this we'll probably have to start like loading in and then it's going to be five o

06:58'clock

06:58it's going to be like oh shit I didn't eat anything today which uh happens on how to works

07:03though yeah yeah it's right on a big deal yeah I enjoy it I enjoy it yeah we got a

07:07snack snack drawer

07:09this is a lot of uh that's my uh whole grain goldfish the best kind of goldfish if you ask

07:13this has been great we brought the blenders this tour which is like a new thing for us like I

07:17we got some protein and stuff up here yeah shout out our homies max effort they hook us up with

07:22bunch of supplements and stuff before we head out which is awesome especially like we hit the uh we hit

07:25the plan of fitness almost every day we have contra to yeah we got some quantity um yeah uh

07:32there's no rider buyout today in Chicago so uh we're probably going to be dipping into the snack

07:38walls here uh we got garbanzo beans that's huge we should be a big bean bean yeah a lot of

07:43garbanzo

07:44beans health and fitness is is a big thing with tropidele but also it goes a lot I mean we're

07:49on the

07:49tour for like seven weeks right now so it's like you're getting us at week six you think like you're

07:54hammering liquor and partying like every day like it's you're not going to make it very far

07:57if you're going to feel like shit and uh that's like our rider items too like they're just not

08:02very exciting like we have hummus we have like rice cakes we have like protein bars like whatever

08:06because it's like you got to get nutrients out here it's crazy you know what I mean like you're

08:11at a truck stop every day you're in a venue so it's like burger and fries from down the street

08:15or like whatever the hell you can get at the truck stop so it's like you try and keep it

08:18as like

08:18as trim as we can and uh health focus help us sometimes you know it's difficult you gotta

08:23you gotta do what you gotta do yeah days off are kind of it's kind of like the wild wild

08:27west

08:27food lies you can do whatever nobody will judge you on what you eat on a day off yeah yeah

08:32we can uh

08:32we can take you here let's do let's do our spin real quick we're in the we're in the kitchen

08:36and now we

08:37are in the living room area yeah the living room also doubles as the office we got the printer here

08:43that's for printing out set lists before the show i don't know what this is that yeah never seen that

08:48in my life sunscreen sunscreen yeah uh hand sanitizer as you can tell we're pretty much through the

08:55bottle we ripped through this stuff as well oh look at this we got um oh these are some gifts

09:00uh from

09:01the adcox we got uh a new stars that's all i was gonna say i don't know we have a

09:07lot of fake plants

09:07yeah christoph our sound technician he's the rf guy uh yeah that these plants help us

09:13with production and stuff uh is this natasha uh i think it might have been yeah might have might

09:20have been this is interesting the athletic musician integrating sports strategies for

09:24better practice and performance this was like gifts from our friends the adcox they're really

09:28sweet uh they got a bunch of tea samplers which uh we love tea as well oh this is mine

09:32i forgot

09:32to put this out for you yeah the clothing option uh this is rca the bluetooth but this is huge

09:39too

09:40because i mean like we'll sit in here with like the acoustic guitars out and stuff and

09:42jam and practice so like earlier this tour too we were just listening back to the set every night

09:47kind of critiquing ourselves at each other and see what we can do better uh not a lot of whole

09:51personal jamming but i'm trying to get a little like pump up song going before we get that yeah some

09:56uh

09:56uh carpenters yeah some of the carpenters yeah yeah we'll play some superstar by yeah yeah by carrick

10:02carpenter uh this is pat's banana because this is a personal banana it's not a rider banana he wants

10:08to eat that later yeah so that's all i can touch that where's our freaking barista oh yeah let's go

10:14to the coffee shop we'll go to the coffee shop all right now we've got the nespresso pots here uh

10:20these are great another rider item but we bring this along we used to bring an air fryer which we

10:25should probably bring back and a skillet and a skillet yeah we had an electric hot plate you could like

10:29adjust the temperature on and that was even some shit too like uh like on these bandwagon stuff you

10:34get the fridge which like we don't have on like our personal rig so it's nice to like like you

10:38can

10:38buy ground beef or chicken and just like actually whip up some food which is like honestly i've been

10:43missing this tour i'm like i'm dying for some home-cooked food yeah yeah but uh our barista jim oh

10:49sorry also our base guy uh he uh he's a little sassy he gets a little sassy when we'll try

10:56his coffee yeah yeah he's crazy but he makes us nice espresso drinks the more the barista the better

11:33everybody gets one uh cabinet or covered this has been fun actually i've got these uh

11:39little film cameras the little like digital ones you can turn into cbs and stuff i've been using that

11:44which has been sweet uh just kind of makes you slow down a little bit look at things jarv and

11:50uh term

11:50from the palmer squares are super into it they're good friends of mine so i sucked into it because of

11:54that just

11:54this door though just uh sipping out here a long time and uh trying to pass the time i just

11:59went

11:59through my cover found a celsius i've been looking for for like way better than red bull way better

12:05than red bull yeah usenex is huge for me as a vocalist uh i love it we got these little

12:11microphones

12:12that we use when we make content like yourself so uh yeah it's just everybody's kind of personal things

12:17i just went through mine i was just looking at some things i picked up along the way i've got

12:21some

12:21japanese snacks i got some pokemon cards some hedgehog drink the flavor of these chips are uh

12:29imitation mexican chicken artificial tomato flavor oh i'm saving that i'm saving that for home

12:37this is the first game of thrones book which i was dangerously close to finishing when we got on the

12:42sword and i didn't have the second one so then every day for like two weeks in the first part

12:47of the

12:47tour i was just going to different bookstores and stuff trying to figure out where i get the second

12:51one and in houston texas right before we left town i found the second one and now i'm getting

12:56very close to finishing that uh so i'm looking for the third game of thrones book uh any suggestions

13:01leave them in the comments also to you i'm not trying to go to barnes and noble you know what

13:07i'm

13:07saying i want to like walk in and find it on the shelf from some sweet old lady who's like

13:10your grandma

13:11that's got a cat in the corner of the bookshop that's how i'm saying i know i can order it

13:15the second lord of the rings book yeah we're big fantasy readers out here yeah which isn't like a

13:20normal thing for us like lord of the rings and game of the thrones is kind of it's our thing

13:24love it that's as far down the fantasy realm as we really get yeah yeah we do uh both yeah

13:30these yeah yeah we've got the whole series it's a good time yeah uh our singer roads he's a big

13:37reader

13:37too he'd be reading some books philosophy books so i don't even know what he's reading nowadays

13:41yeah and then also yeah another japanese thing i got it's a little a little dumpling that turns

13:46into a light oh that's cool yeah yeah just tap it here's a big one uh we'll randomly hit everybody's

13:54shoes in the nighttime just to keep it fresh and clean on here yeah there's a shoe fairy on the

13:59bus we

13:59don't know who it is but like in the morning you just hear this and you're like what the hell

14:04and then

14:04they disappear yeah a lot of ghosts on the ferry there's a bunk ghost the bunk ghost everyone has one

14:10you

14:10know when you hear the chains in the night that he's coming any band that says they don't have a

14:16bunk ghost he's lying yeah it's absurd yeah the bunk ghost he does some things to the guys yeah so

14:22we've been living in harmony quite a while now uh the microwave is huge honestly i've been feeling a

14:29little wild with it because i don't have a microwave at home so uh the snack realm is like really

14:34opened

14:34up for me for like late night rip a j to the face hop on the bus and then just

14:38like start with yeah

14:40yeah yeah yeah this is our big yeah a lot of things are cooked in here a lot of things

14:45a lot of things

14:45oh our barista yeah guys i have a lot of customers coming in i know you're doing an interview right

14:51now but they're gonna start getting real furious i gotta start pumping out coffee it's hard out here

14:55for everybody everybody's doing different things to supplement the income and to keep this show on the

15:00road so jim has to open up his own coffee shop in our home that's fine with us we're just

15:05going to

15:05be cutting it it's called jimbux uh yeah it's obviously you can tell the sass is real with this

15:11one which means the coffee's great customers guys they're very demanding they're very demanding yeah

15:16yeah always espressos yeah this is the best seat in the house by the way yeah uh 100 you get

15:22the

15:22little window view wait let's talk about our wi-fi oh yeah uh we got starlink so we throw check

15:28this out

15:29we throw our own music festival uh it happens near columbus ohio every year in july and august

15:34it's called everwild music festival this past year we had three eleven dirty heads in the past we've

15:38had both looks and harmonies stick figure all kinds of acts we sold it out this year it's like our

15:42seventh

15:43or eighth year doing it uh jim is also the festival director uh yeah not only is he a barista

15:48was he a

15:49sound guy he's now the bass player but there's also promoter jim and he is the creator owner of you

15:56out with us promoter jim lives in constant conflict with artist jim and the two of them are trying to

16:03melt but yeah there's two wolves inside of them and they don't get alone and they fight yeah but

16:08recently we're just nine rowdy guys rolling around don't get alone we don't get a lot ever but the

16:16starlink kind of keeps everybody quiet so at the festival we had a bunch of these and uh we picked

16:20jim up from the festival the last day basically we all rolled out of there straight out of the road

16:25so we

16:25grabbed one of these we've been setting it up on top of the trailer every day just to get a

16:29little

16:29internet use the laptops and whatnot get some get some stuff download some videos from google drive

16:36some content yeah a little bit of fortnite yeah a little bit of online fortnite yeah jets jim switch

16:41yeah there's also gamer jim he wears a lot of hats just to blow some steam off we'll get online

16:46and

16:46just swear at strangers yeah yeah yeah cuss out some kids on nintendo nintendo switch live

16:52cut that out cut that out we'll get it in post yeah we'll fix it in post this also isn't

17:00a bad

17:00seat uh a lot of people sit down here just to stare into the void on these like 11 hour

17:06drives on this

17:06tour we've done like two or three overnight 12 hour drives we still got another we got two like nine

17:14and

17:14a half hour drives left on this tour like just this week overnight um we came from detroit last

17:20night not very far it's like before that we came from denver before that we came from denver but it's

17:25like five hours overnight like kind of you know you wake up when the bus starts moving and then you're

17:30just fucking chugging down the road so it's like yeah sometimes it feels like sometimes it feels like

17:35bombs are going off when you're trying to sleep you know it's just like bumpy rides but this is nice

17:41too

17:41everything's a little multi-use to get these in whenever you want get those arms stuff this guy

17:48he's also complimentary jim yeah we got we got some fan fan made rolling trades things sick

17:54yeah it's like we thought it was a cutting board but really it's for other things we don't smoke pop

17:58but if you do this would be great for that um yeah okay a bunch of fans give us little

18:05little toys like

18:06little ducks and they all come to this cup yeah they all just kind of reside in here yeah you

18:12got

18:12a guitar pick an alien duck alien duck i like that one that one's pretty cool we got a a

18:19washer this

18:20probably goes to something that's important i don't know what it's for someone thought that was a quarter

18:24yep somebody thought that was a quarter yeah we got some bugs they're all the same uh i won't say

18:33is our merch guy chase's bug he's got it pretty rough it's hard to get up here uh i think

18:37he'll step here and jump in and he did completely eat very early on in this tour and it was

18:43very funny if you would have loved it i wish the camera was here you guys would love it uh

18:47we can

18:47move back here and i know he's guessing so so i mean this is cool um light goes on i

18:54made my bed for this

18:55sort of uh we like keep our personal stuff in here during the day because as you can see it's

19:00very tight

19:01and like like when everybody sleeps all the backpacks go out to the front and then in the

19:05morning whoever's up first is just like because there's nowhere to sit down or anything to do

19:09so to keep our personal stuff here uh you get a little fan which is nice keeps the wind moving

19:14uh we'll crack these so the ac blows in as well these are cool to love too because they're like

19:18completely black out and then it's just a wall there so i mean you really can like i can't really

19:24like nap i've never looked in here before you got a nice bump thanks man nice job yeah done great

19:29get a plug two plugs that's nice i sleep with all of my belongings in my bunk so it's very

19:35cramped

19:35yeah i sleep with like two of my bags like i typically do too i mean like yeah like i

19:40said my

19:41my cupboard's a mess right now oh pat's reading some stephen king that's awesome yeah let's go through

19:47pat's stuff yeah let's go see pat's stuff i'm gonna machine i don't know why that it's not

19:53really aren't all that exciting uh some of the guys will get like um what is it like a little

20:00tripod thing with like adjustable legs and you can like wrap it onto something you can put your phone

20:04there you can like lay down like watch a movie or something suction cup into the ceiling yeah a little

20:08suction action yeah yeah i mean yeah this is you've seen bandwagons you're viewers now you know what a

20:14bandwagon's all about um we got one of the hardwood ones yeah we got a good one yeah the carpet's

20:21nightmare i don't know where all the crumbs come from but if you want ants that's how you get ants

20:27bathroom's off limits bathroom's off limits we don't use it because nobody wants to clean it or empty it

20:31out so uh also it can smell if you like even if you don't use it i've seen your videos

20:37number two well we're no number one no number one no number one none of us piss none of us

20:42shit we kind of yeah yeah we're super humans well we can move back to the office yeah we can

20:46to the office here though yeah welcome to the office yeah the other office the other office

20:56we had a bit of a plumbing issue earlier this tour we don't really know what happened but it stopped

21:00draining so we had to go to home depot and rip it apart ourselves and kind of plum it out

21:05i think we're

21:06pretty much in a good place with that yeah so uh yeah this is good for like brushing your teeth

21:11whatnot too we do have a shower here as well which um i have used at 70 miles an hour

21:18before uh it's

21:19insane uh our buddy's little stranger actually have a shower helmet they'll put on for these when they're

21:24driving around and they want to shower while they're moving they'll come again yeah yeah yeah john nailed

21:29his head playing video games one night and uh so then they have a video game helmet as well if

21:32you're

21:32going to stand up but uh we don't really use it too often except for like after a set if

21:36there's not

21:36um showers in the green room and stuff it's cool to just like you know post set as you heard

21:42we're

21:42a health and fitness band we get our showers at planet fitnesses we've been to over 500 planet

21:47fitnesses around the country planet fitness if you're watching would love some discount on the black

21:52card at some point it's been eight years of constant planet fitness talk use promotion i know you don't

22:00need it because you're at every clearly you're like great yeah you're in every little shopping complex

22:06in america yeah but that's how we get our showers on the road we all work out take care of

22:11ourselves

22:12try to yeah it's a crazy thing and it's like if you don't stay like regimented as disciplined as you

22:17can out here is barista jim working right away so i'm making a busy no way i don't open it

22:22up shop oh my god

22:27yeah what's going on here jim oh we're actually opening up jim bucks right now um we got a couple

22:34orders in we only make one drink but today we're going to make an actual coffee pot which is usually

22:42we stick to the espresso um i'm going to make two drinks right now you want a shot of espresso

22:49no

22:51all right do the viewers at home want a shot of espresso youtubers at home i'll take it for the

22:56viewers oh you got it okay well first off this is yeah you're gonna want to get this this is

23:02really

23:02good stuff here so we rely on espresso for a lot of our needs on the road and it's delivered

23:10quite well

23:10for us is it not working it's working it's churning you can hear it churning

23:20well there we go you we have a lot of options you can have espresso with nothing

23:27espresso with oat milk or espresso with some vanilla that's it

23:33what about espresso with poncho that's for later later in the evening espresso martinis

23:41the menu is actually pretty comprehensive the customers they expect good stuff

23:48and honestly like starting your morning out being able to roll out of bed sometimes at a truck stop

23:54you can just make a coffee real quick get your day started well that's like too sometimes you'll wake

23:58up and like it'll be eight or nine in the morning but we're four hours into a six hour drive

24:04and like

24:05the bus isn't stopping so it's like yeah you can sit around and be miserable or you can go to

24:09it's good to

24:09you know i have a band barista i feel like you know that's very important uh and like you'll most
