00:00No, it's not the 80s anymore. We travel with caffeine. We need to stay up till 3 in the morning

00:04Instead of catching air with every bump, you're just like suspended in jello, which is super nice.

00:41Come on in. What's up? I'm Amanda. I'm Rob. Ed. We're under fire. We're currently on tour with 530 Death

00:48Punch and Cody James.

00:49Hi, I am mostly driver and driving this thing is loads of fun. I'm being facetious just a little bit.

01:00So one of the challenges that we had on this tour that we've never had is a lot of the

01:06Google Maps, Apple Maps, they're designed for like passenger vehicles.

01:10So when we were in like the Long Island area, they took us to like areas where there's like low

01:14bridges.

01:15So we had to do like U-turns and do a bunch of crazy stuff that we weren't expecting to

01:20do.

01:20And then I had to find like a free truck map because a lot of them have paywalls behind them

01:24like RV campground apps or whatever.

01:26So that was loads of fun. But I do a lot of the driving, me and the drummer split time.

01:33And yeah, I mean, it's like your basic Ford up here, automatic transmission.

01:40She's got a big ass. So big, in fact, that I can't see the trailer when I'm driving.

01:45So that's fun. So I have to account for that hopefully being behind us.

01:49So aside from the driver's cab up there, we have this little area, which is basically the living room.

01:55We try to make sure that we steal all the waters that we can keep that in here.

01:59We do have a little bit of our own like cold brew coffee in our fridge here.

02:04So make sure that we're stocked with all the caffeine, all the cold brew.

02:08They're like, look at how lame that van is, that one ounce of alcohol.

02:11Listen, we're not traveling with alcohol because we can't...

02:14It's not the 80s anymore.

02:16No, it's not the 80s anymore. We travel with caffeine.

02:18We need to stay up till three in the morning chasing buses.

02:21The other thing that we need is power.

02:24So we've got, I don't know, how many of those batteries, Ed? Four?

02:26We've got at least four.

02:27Yeah, we've got at least four. Powering Starlink, powering laptops.

02:32We've got a lot of, you know, cell phones, not just like for keeping in touch anymore.

02:35We've got to do content for ourselves and whatever.

02:37So that's where we store all of our stuff here.

02:41Battery, there's like an entire battery cabinet up there.

02:43Yeah, we've got some storage area up here for shoes and batteries and fans.

02:50Someone's fancy.

02:50And some snacks.

02:53Let's see what we've got left over.

02:56So we are wonderfully taken care of on this tour and part of our rider is protein bars.

03:03Lots and lots of honey for all of the tea that I drink.

03:08Also equipped with some vitamin C emergency, which is also very needed.

03:13One of the things that we do because we are in an RV is we still get hotel stops.

03:18So with most hotel stops, we steal all of their coffee stuff so that we don't have to buy it

03:23for our own.

03:23But you know what? It's working.

03:25But we have like, I don't know, 14 versions of different cup sizes and different cup lids, which is fun.

03:33I think I actually was snacking on most of the goldfish before this.

03:37So I'm out of goldfish, but we might have to restock that soon.

03:41Goldfish crackers.

03:42This is how we're trying to keep everything clear up of the countertop.

03:47With this small broom that was not always a small broom.

03:50It used to be a full size broom until Rob decided that she was a baseball bat.

03:54With a football?

03:55He was a football, yep.

03:56We were coming up with our own games.

03:58Anyway, we play a lot of games.

03:59We break a lot of things.

04:00But mostly it's just cheap things that don't cost anybody any money and usually don't hit each other in the

04:05face with it.

04:06Although he tried.

04:07I dodged.

04:07So, you know, it's a lot of nap time.

04:12I don't know that you'd call it sleeping, but you can call it lounging and trying to relax.

04:17So, as a bass player, you kind of, you know, you find the areas that are dark, damp, have bugs,

04:27places nobody else wants to be.

04:29So that's up here.

04:32And it's pretty, it's pretty cozy.

04:34And I'll tell you what, it's a secret spot too because it's the least bouncy.

04:39It's not too bad.

04:41Lots of room to sprawl out.

04:43I can, you know, have a little make out session with my hotel base here if I want to.

04:51And get a little bit of air circulating when it gets a little steamy.

05:00Or, if I need a little privacy, I can just shut you out.

05:09So, we've rented these Cruise America RVs before.

05:15And what we found out was that there were no cup holders.

05:18So we were using shoes a lot.

05:20You know, shoes, really good cup holder, but it's kind of dirty.

05:23So, Amazon, nice little purchase here.

05:27Now we have a couple.

05:29Well, yeah, it's going to be a lot of photos.

05:33Maybe it's, you know, sound guy putting down six glizzies.

05:38It's happened.

05:39I was going to say, it's either content or snacking.

05:41Because we do keep all of the catering snackies.

05:44Well, that's a bouncy spot, too.

05:47So, like, if you're looking at a computer screen for too long, it's like your brain just doesn't work after

05:53a while.

05:54But, yeah, sometimes.

05:55Yeah, this one right here is usually somebody's taking it.

05:59Yeah.

05:59And somebody's laying down here taking up all the room.

06:02And then nobody else has room.

06:04Then they have to sit over there.

06:06I have room.

06:06Because I have the entire back lounge.

06:08Oh.

06:09Okay.

06:10And I'm still using the shoe method, by the way.

06:13This is my cup holder.

06:15She exists right here.

06:17But this is my little girly pop area.

06:19I do try to keep most of the storage off of the bed while we're traveling.

06:24So, that way, like, in case anybody else wants to come back here and chill.

06:27Because I have set up this bed extraordinarily well.

06:30This is not just the RV mattress that comes with the thing.

06:35Okay?

06:35This is an entire situation.

06:38So, I looked up some YouTube videos.

06:41And truckers helped me decide what we should do for this back bed.

06:45Because, of course, it's back here and it's bouncy.

06:47So, I have a whole situation.

06:49So, underneath here we have unrolled sleeping bags.

06:52And then we have to provide some extra cushion.

06:55And then we have the actual mattress.

06:56But then we strapped her down.

06:57Both here and, if you see behind my cup holder, she has attached in the middle.

07:03And then we added a three inch high foam density mattress pad.

07:08But, strapped that bad boy down and circled it with a nice sheet.

07:17And if you really want to be strapped in, you throw this weighted blanket over yourself.

07:24And then you're just kind of like, instead of catching air with every bump, you're just like suspended in jello.

07:29Which is super nice.

07:30My entire closet.

07:33This is where we keep all of the stage clothing, all the big boots, all of the stuff that comes

07:38with me into the green room in the hotel.

07:41Today's green room, I was already kind of ready when I showed up so I didn't need this whole bag.

07:45But, I've got my own little battery back here for when I need to do some content stuff.

07:51If I just want some privacy from the guys, I will just close my little curtain.

07:55This is actually a fold out chair, which is conveniently located right next to this little situation.

08:02Because, this is my office.

08:05When I want to be away from it.

08:07So, this is kind of like my own little rolling apartment here.

08:10I have a very nice view of all of the buses or mountains or trees.

08:17I can get a little air back here when I need to.

08:19So, if I need to hide, this is where I go.

08:22So, you mentioned about storage and certain amenities that we use on this truck and don't use on this truck.

08:27So, we have repurposed certain amenities.

08:29This is a shower.

08:30But, for us, it's a storage unit.

08:33Well, when you're in a band, you don't shower anyways.

08:37No, you do.

08:37It's not real.

08:37Ew.

08:38We do.

08:39Actually, when we're here on this tour in amphitheaters and they give us our green room,

08:45they usually have a fancy shower for us in the green room, which is super sick.

08:48You get showers?

08:50Uh-oh.

08:52Is that what I've been smelling this entire time?

08:55Anyway, this particular shower is not as fancy and is used for all of the merch bin storage, album vinyl

09:04storage in our bathroom.

09:09Don't mind the overflowing garbage.

09:11I feel like everybody that has a bathroom knows about the overflowing garbage.

09:15But, it is nice when we are chasing buses and we're occasionally stuck in here for three or four hours

09:20and we don't want to pee stop every hour and a half or so.

09:23Ta-da!

09:24We have her.

09:25We also have our hand sanitizer.

09:28We are clean.

09:30Hey, hurry up.

09:31I gotta pee.

09:32The boys would have you think otherwise, but we are fairly clean.

09:36In this, we've of course got my girl amenities and makeup remover and dude wipes and every other thing else

09:43that you could need.

09:44When we do not have an awesome green room, sometimes it's really nice because we can just get ready in

09:49here.
