00:00Hello! Welcome on board! Come in! Hello! Welcome into the bus on Battle Ballad's tour. This
00:24is Gunz from Tear, the bass player you know, you know, the one you don't hear so much but
00:29you see it a lot you know. So, welcome to the bus! Let's have a tour how we live in this situation
00:37touring in America and Canada. Welcome in! So, the first thing here you know there's many people on
00:44the bus so we have the TV. Yeah, the TV! And we don't watch it that much really. We watch for a
00:52few movies every now and then but mostly everybody is on their phones through the internet and stuff
00:57like that so it's not used that much. But we listen mainly to some music, have some music in the
01:03background, having a good time really. But this is a quite cramped place because there's a
01:09lot on this bus. A lot of people on this bus, this tour. We're 16 in this bus, this tour and it's
01:16crazy lot because it's not really room for that many. You know, we need to have our beverages.
01:25Most of us today, you know, we have gone soft so we drink from mostly water. It's embarrassing but
01:31that's how it goes when you get older. But some of the other guys they enjoy the occasional beverage
01:38of Cola Zero. Again, somebody has gone soft and we have, see that's mine, that's Zero again. Beer,
01:50non-alcoholic, you know. But most of the people they drink some light beer on the tour instead of
01:56water. It can get a little bit boring drinking water for a whole tour. But we have coffee on
02:03the tour. We have the coffee machines and the occasional Kahlua. Yeah, somebody likes to enjoy
02:12that. Probably for a white or black Russian, I suppose, I guess, I don't know. And gin and tonic I
02:20seen some of them been quite fun on of this tour. And we have, you know, we have the microwave, we
02:28got everything here, a fridge. We got everything we need really. But there's a lot of people to
02:36feed so it's pretty full the whole thing. Are you there? This is gonna fall out. There's so many people
02:44on there. The fridge, ladies and gentlemen. Again, it's very different what everybody eats.
02:52Some are vegetarians and I eat mostly just fish. So it's very different. But
03:01general people are quite healthy today, so according to past tours, I must say.
03:07Because that was usually just pizzas and stuff like that. Usually the tour manager and the
03:13merchandiser will sit here and sort out their things after the concerts and stuff. And, you know,
03:20just take care of business as usual. They get this, they have the back lounge they can go back to and
03:26do the more serious stuff if they want to do that. But we all just sit here and because we are so many
03:34on this tour, most of us we just go off to our bunks and just stay in there and watch some videos
03:40or whatever. Because we're so many, there's not room for everybody to sit. Yeah, you see this, this is how we live on tour.
03:53It's not very nice, but hey, it's okay. The bathroom roll is just number one.
03:59Anybody does number two, it's in a bag and you roll it together and toss it out.
04:04And that's basically it, you know, no paper in the toilet. They don't want that because it's too
04:14many people, but I think you can actually handle it if you're just one or two or whatever. So that's
04:19about it. Some of the buses, they have showers. Well, unfortunately not this one. It's a bit nicer
04:25when there's a shower on board. So you can come further in. We have the bunk area here. It's quite nice.
04:34It's not bad at all, these bunks, but this can get to you. We Europeans, we're not so used to
04:42this kind of air cons. We usually get sick from them. I don't know how it works in Europe. I never
04:48hear those things on European buses, but here we do. So we have some closets.
04:53Closets, you know, for stuff. Again, it's a bit difficult. We have to keep most of our luggage
05:03downstairs in the bay because we are simply too many people here. So we kind of have to
05:12organize who gets what and stuff like that, but you know, the guys, they're pretty good at this.
05:19Unfortunately, most of them have been on tour before, so they know all the rules. So
05:24it's cool. This is my bunk. I usually always take the middle bunk. I don't know why.
05:32I just always have. I used to have the lower bunks, but I found it quite annoying because
05:38they put shoes all the way here. So you can imagine the smell. And there's the thing again, you know,
05:45being on a tour, 16 people on the bus, you can imagine all the smells. So, but this is it really.
05:55It doesn't look too good right now. We were a bit in a bit of a hurry, but usually we take
06:01better care of it. Anyway, as I said, on this tour, most of us, we just go to our bunks and we read,
06:08watch movies, sleep, whatever, you know, and just relax because it's a bit easier because there's
06:14not that much room here. But normally we sit in the lounges. Unfortunately on this tour, because
06:21we're so many, the back lounge has turned into bunks as well. We have two bunks here.
06:34And this is for the sound guy and this is for the merchandiser and this is Anton, our dear Anton, our tour manager.
06:44And here we have, all by herself, a light technician, Dana. She has this for herself.
06:54So, but usually this is a lounge. This is a sofa where we can relax and stuff like that.
07:01But I'm not doing this tour officially, but that's how it goes.
07:06So that's it basically. So if you want to know more about
07:10Týr on Tour, go to týr.fo and you'll basically see everything we are doing there.
07:18So have a fun time looking and we hope to see you on concert somewhere on tour.
