00:06When the Sherman family moved into their new home, they found heavy-duty locks on both sides of the

00:11doors. The windows had been bolted shut, and according to their account, even digging on

00:17the property came with a strange condition. They had to notify the previous owners first.

00:23At the time, they had no idea what to make of any of it,

00:26but then an enormous wolf walked up to the family. It let them touch its fur before grabbing one of

00:32their calves. Terry Sherman said he shot it at close range, and it barely reacted.

00:38This was just the beginning of a story involving silent objects above the house,

00:43animals found mutilated, and the light in the darkness that one investigator claimed something

00:48crawled out of. Decades later, researchers are still searching for answers at Skinwalker Ranch,

00:54and one of the latest claims brings us back to that first encounter, with something

00:59recovered from a decomposing animal. But before the cameras, the experiments, and the government

01:06interest, this was just a family home, just one with locks on the inside and the outside.

01:18In 1994, Terry and Gwen Sherman bought a remote ranch in Utah's Unita Basin. Surrounded by pasture,

01:26cottonwood trees, and Russian olives, it seemed like the kind of place where they could raise their

01:30children and cattle away from everything. But the family later described details that made the property

01:36feel less welcoming. Heavy-duty deadbolts on both sides of the doors, windows bolted shut, large guard

01:43dogs chained at opposite ends of the property. Now, none of these details by themselves proved anything

01:48sinister, but they would become much harder for the family to forget after what allegedly happened next.

01:54While the Shermans were unpacking, they noticed an animal out in the pasture. Initially, they assumed it

02:01was a coyote, or possibly a wolf. But as it approached, its behavior became increasingly strange.

02:08According to the family's account, the animal was enormous, almost three times the size of an ordinary wolf.

02:14It had silver-gray fur and striking blue eyes, showing no apparent fear of the family.

02:20In fact, it was so calm that Sherman reportedly managed to approach it and touch its fur,

02:25while the children began wondering whether they could keep it.

02:28However, things changed when the animal suddenly walked towards one of the livestock pens.

02:32A calf had its head sticking through the bars, and the creature grabbed it, attempting to pull it

02:37through the gap. The family tried to drive the animal away, striking it with a baseball bat,

02:43but when that failed, Sherman fired a .357 Magnum at it from close range.

02:49According to his account, the bullets appeared to have little effect.

02:53He fired several more times, hitting the animal in the ribs and stomach, but it continued to move.

02:59Eventually, after another shot, it released the calf and began walking away.

03:04Sherman then switched to a hunting rifle. This time he reported seeing a substantial piece of flesh tear

03:10away from the creature. The family later claimed that the piece of flesh had a foul odor,

03:14which they likened to rotting meat mixed with the scent of a musky fox.

03:21Sherman followed the animal's trail for more than a mile, but inexplicably, the trail suddenly ended

03:27and the animal disappeared. But this was just the beginning.

03:31Over the next two years, the Shermans reported encountering a bizarre array of animals and creatures

03:36on their property. They described sightings of enormous wolves, strange red-haired creatures

03:42resembling hyenas, and an almost invisible animal that a visitor compared to the camouflage of the

03:48creature from predator. The family also observed unusual birds with bright, multi-coloured plumage

03:55that they could not identify. Among the phenomena described by the Shermans were glowing blue orbs.

04:01These orbs reportedly appeared repeatedly around the ranch, and sometimes seemed to disturb the animals.

04:08The family described them as looking almost like glass spheres, with something resembling

04:13swirling liquid inside. It was impossible for the family to determine whether these objects were

04:19connected to the other phenomena they experienced. However, one particular encounter would become

04:24one of the most disturbing incidents associated with the ranch, and it involved the family's dog.

04:29One evening in April 1996, Sherman was sitting outside of his home with his three blue heelers.

04:36As he looked across the property, he noticed a large orange object in the distance.

04:42According to his account, the family had already observed unusual phenomena associated with similar

04:48objects, including things that seemed to emerge from them. But then, Sherman noticed something else.

04:53A brilliant blue light appeared. His dogs reacted immediately, becoming agitated and growling as a

05:01blue orb moved towards them. The object was reportedly about 10 feet above the ground and roughly the size of

05:07a

05:07cricket ball. When it came within about 100 yards, Sherman released the dogs and they immediately chased after it.

05:16According to his account, the dogs snapped the object as it moved away, apparently drawing them deeper into

05:22the surrounding vegetation, before Sherman lost sight of them. Moments later, he heard what he described as

05:29horrifying howls. The dogs seemed to be in extreme distress, and then everything went silent. The animals never

05:36returned that night. Sherman went looking for them the following morning, and as he approached the area where

05:42he had last seen them, he reported smelling what he described as burning flesh. He then described three

05:48circular areas of scorched grass, with a greasy black residue at the centre of each. According to the family's

05:55account, this was all that remained of their three dogs. However, the strange events were far from over.

06:03The family reported large objects moving over the ranch. On one freezing night, Terry was checking

06:09the land and livestock, when he saw what he described as a craft, between 30 and 40 feet long. He

06:15said it

06:16resembled a small, blunt-nosed stealth aircraft, except it was completely silent. He said it hovered around 20

06:22feet above the ground, moving slowly towards him. Small, multi-coloured lights reflected against the snow

06:28beneath it, and then the lights went out. The object supposedly turned and disappeared into the night.

06:35Several weeks later, Gwen described an encounter of her own. She was returning from work and knew

06:41she would be alone. Terry was away, and the children were staying with friends. At the entrance, she got

06:46out to open the gate, drove through, and stepped out again to lock it, when she saw a shadow pass

06:52over her

06:53vehicle. As she looked up, she saw a large triangular object moving towards her. Gwen said she hurried back

07:00into the car and drove towards the house, but the object followed. Eventually, it hovered directly above

07:06her vehicle, casting small, multi-coloured lights down onto it. Only when she reached the house did it

07:12rise and vanish, and less than an hour later, she looked outside again. She said something resembling a

07:19brightly illuminated motorhome was sitting in the pasture, around 200 yards away. Inside, she said

07:26she could see a dark figure seated at a desk, and it appeared to be wearing a uniform and a

07:30dark visor.

07:31It supposedly stood up, and Gwen estimated the figure was around seven feet tall. She watched it

07:38approach an enormous illuminated doorway before it appeared to look directly towards the house.

07:43She then closed the curtains and called Terry. Concerned by her distress, he drove home through the

07:49night. The next morning, the couple investigated the pasture and reported finding footprints around

07:5518 inches long, with rounded heels and no recognisable tread, but the object itself was gone.

08:02They could not explain how anything resembling a motorhome had entered through the ranch's locked gate,

08:07but then things continued to get stranger. As the encounters continued, the Shermans reported cattle

08:14dying or disappearing under unusual circumstances. One cow discovered after a reported UFO sighting

08:20had a hole through the centre of its left eye. Terry described a chemical smell around the carcass,

08:26and little apparent disturbance by predators. A second cow was reportedly found with a similar injury,

08:34and then in March 1997 came an incident with a particularly troubling detail. The family said they had seen the

08:41animal alive less than 40 minutes earlier. Terry and Gwen had been tagging newborn Black Angus calves,

08:47and after tagging one of them, they moved to another field. Shortly afterwards, their dog turned back

08:53towards the field they had just left, and began barking. The dog ran into the field and the Shermans followed.

09:00The calf's mother was distressed and limping, and nearby laying the calf that they had recently tagged.

09:06Its body cavity had been opened, and much of the soft tissue was missing. Its legs remained intact,

09:13but an ear had been removed, along with the yellow identification tag that they had attached.

09:17A pathology examination reportedly found signs of dissection with a sharp instrument.

09:23The account describes little or no blood of the scene, leading investigators to consider whether the

09:28animal had been killed elsewhere and returned. That interpretation, and the reported timing,

09:35made the case especially difficult for those involved to explain. The original account also

09:39says the dog that alerted the family was never seen again. By this point, the ranch had attracted

09:45attention far beyond the people living there, and eventually someone arrived with money and equipment

09:51to investigate. After Terry spoke to a local newspaper, the family's experiences caught the attention of the

09:58National Institute for Discovery Science, better known as NIDS. The organization had been founded by

10:04billionaire Robert Bigelow, who had a long-standing interest in UFOs and other unexplained phenomena.

10:10In 1996, he purchased the ranch, and brought in scientists, investigators, and specialist equipment

10:17to try to understand what the Shermans had been reporting. It was a very different approach from

10:23that of the family, who had moved there simply to raise cattle and make a home. Researchers could now

10:29monitor the property, carry out night patrols, and look for evidence that might explain the encounters.

10:35Some incidents, including the calves found mutilated in March 1997, were reported after Bigelow had taken

10:41ownership. The property also became widely known as Skinwalker Ranch. The name draws on Navajo beliefs about a

10:49harmful practitioner capable of taking the form of an animal, although these traditions are distinct from

10:55those of the nearby Ute community. The association added to the ranch's unsettling reputation, but it

11:02offers no clear explanation for what investigators might find there. One of the strangest encounters

11:08reported by the NIDS team occurred on August 25th, 1997. At around half past two in the morning,

11:15two investigators, Mike and Jim, were patrolling the property when they noticed a faint light hanging

11:20above the ground. Looking through night vision binoculars, they could make out what appeared to

11:26be a yellowish, tunnel-like opening, roughly four feet across. According to Mike, something was moving

11:33inside it. He described a dark figure, at least six feet tall, crawling through the illuminated opening,

11:40before getting to its feet and walking away into the darkness. The light then appeared to shrink until it

11:46disappeared. Jim had also seen the light, but he had not seen anything emerge from it. The instruments

11:52reportedly picked up no unusual radiation or magnetic readings, and photographs taken at the scene showed

11:58little more than a faint glow. Whatever Mike believed he'd witnessed, the team had very little with which to

12:05establish what had happened. Despite their equipment and preparation, they were left in much the same position

12:11as the Shermans, trying to make sense of an encounter that they could not adequately document.

12:26In September 2026, a new release of declassified UAP material brought renewed interest to the Advanced

12:33Aerospace Weapons System Applications Program. The Pentagon Program contracted to Bigelow Aerospace

12:39Advanced Space Studies. The program began in 2007 and was much broader than just Skinwalker Ranch.

12:46And the commonly repeated claim that the entire $22 million budget was spent solely on

12:51investigating the ranch is inaccurate. However, the Pentagon's All Domain Anomaly Resolution Office

12:57reported that the BAASS team did investigate incidents involving unidentified aerial phenomena

13:04and other unusual occurrences on a private property in Utah owned by Robert Bigelow. This investigation

13:10also included reports related to unusual aerial phenomena, animal behaviors, visible psychological

13:17effects, and other alleged anomalies. Now, there is one problem though. The documentation related to that

13:22investigation has not been released, and according to a report discussed by journalists Jeremy Corbell and

13:28George Knapp, senior officials in the White House stated that they were unable to find copies of certain

13:34records related to the program. This was despite claims from individuals involved that a significant

13:40amount of material had been provided to the Defense Intelligence Agency. That poses the question,

13:45what is actually happening at Skinwalker Ranch that the government does not want the public to know?

13:50Now, not releasing this information only fuels speculation that they have something to hide.

14:04Today, the ranch is privately owned by Brandon Fugel. Fugel's team includes physicist Eric Barth,

14:11scientist Travis Taylor, ranch manager Thomas Winterton, and several other researchers and specialists.

14:17Their investigation has been ongoing for years, both independently and through the history

14:23television series The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch. The focus of their research has increasingly shifted

14:29towards the use of advanced instrumentation. The team employs radar, electromagnetic sensors,

14:35cameras, drones, rockets, and various other equipment to monitor different areas of the property.

14:40And according to the ranch's official website, research continues through ongoing experiments

14:46and advanced surveillance, with live camera systems accessible through its insider service.

14:52Let's take a look at what they have revealed in 2026 alone.

15:04Now, during 2026, Fugel and the research team have increasingly focused their attention underground,

15:10drilling operations that have reportedly encountered unusual resistance and recovered material that Fugel

15:16has described as manufactured and heat-resistant. The significance of that material remains unknown,

15:22and there is currently no confirmed evidence that a UFO is buried beneath the mesa. However, the team's

15:27interpretation is that something unusual may be embedded deep inside the rock, potentially something

15:33artificial. And that possibly has changed the direction of the investigation. Rather than simply watching the sky for unexplained objects,

15:42the researchers are now trying to physically reach whatever may be beneath them.

15:47The Bubble

15:49At the same time, the team has continued investigating what they call the Rancher's Bubble,

15:54an invisible region where they believe unusual electromagnetic effects occur. The idea comes from a series of experiments,

16:01in which the team has reported unexplained behaviour from drones and other instruments operating over the property. In earlier testing,

16:09a drone was reported to have suddenly stopped responding before apparently reappearing roughly 200 feet from where the team expected

16:16it to be.

16:16While radar experiments have yielded, the 1.6 GHz signal returned.

16:22One of the most persistent technical mysteries associated with the Ranch is a radio signal around 1.6 GHz.

16:28The frequency has attracted attention because the Ranch team has repeatedly reported detecting signals in the region during experiments involving

16:35the property's

16:36alleged aerial anomalies. While in August 2026, another observation was reported near the Ranch,

16:44reigniting interest in the signal.

16:46Now, the 1.6 GHz is not by itself evidence of something mysterious or extraterrestrial.

16:52The frequency range is used by a number of legitimate satellite and communication systems,

16:57so there are several conventional sources that have to be considered.

17:01But what makes the Skinwalker investigation interesting is the team's claim that some of the signals have

17:07appeared during experiments involving the Ranch's supposed anomalies, and researchers have been trying to determine

17:13whether the transmissions have an identifiable external source, whether they are being generated locally,

17:19or whether the apparent connection to the events of the property is simply coincidental.

17:24So the mystery is not really whether the 1.6 GHz signal exists.

17:29The unresolved question is where particular signals detected during the experiments originate,

17:35and whether there is a genuine connection between them and the phenomena being investigated at the Skinwalker.

17:41Until the source can be identified and independently verified, the 1.6 GHz observations remain an intriguing but unresolved part

17:50of the investigation.

17:51A physicist proposed a real explanation.

17:54One of the more intriguing attempts to explain the strange equipment failures at Skinwalker came from physicist Eric Bard.

18:01Bard first visited the Ranch in 2016, and while standing on the Messer,

18:06he noticed that his phone began to display strange visual artifacts.

18:10Later, when he returned to the main area of the property, the issue disappeared.

18:15At the same time, Bard and others in his group experienced disorientation and a difficulty maintaining their balance.

18:22Now, instead of treating this experience as evidence of something supernatural, Bard sought to reproduce it experimentally.

18:29Initially, he suspected that poor cellular reception might have caused the phone's strange behavior,

18:35as a phone can increase its radio frequency activity while trying to connect to a distant cell tower.

18:40However, he was unable to replicate the specific effect in that manner.

18:44Several months later, he conducted a more controlled experiment using a powerful rare earth magnet.

18:51When he positioned his phone near the magnet, he was able to reproduce the flickering effect that he had observed

18:56on the ranch.

18:57This demonstration indicated that a strong electromagnetic field could lead to a similar malfunction.

19:03This prompted Bard to investigate electromagnetic interference as a possible explanation for some of the technical problems reported at the

19:10ranch.

19:11Bard also considered whether strong magnetic fields could help explain the physical sensations reported by visitors at the ranch.

19:18He referenced research and experiences involving powerful magnets, like those encountered around MRI equipment,

19:25where individuals can experience symptoms such as vertigo and nausea.

19:30From this, he developed the hypothesis that an electromagnetic phenomena could potentially account for some of the reported technological and

19:37psychological effects of the ranch.

19:40However, there is an important limitation.

19:42The magnetic experiment did not prove that Skinwalker Ranch itself has a powerful, anomalous electromagnetic field.

19:49It only showed that a sufficiently strong magnet field can replicate one of the phone effects experienced by Bard.

19:56And the crucial question remains unanswered.

20:00What, if anything, could generate such a field at the ranch?

20:03Now, what is particularly interesting in 2026 is that experts involved in the investigation are becoming more willing to discuss

20:11their findings publicly.

20:12In the past, experts have been hesitant to attach their names to anything remotely extraterrestrial due to concerns about reputation

20:20damage or ridicule.

20:21One specialist is biologist Ben Woodruff from the Hutchings Museum Institute,

20:26who has been examining biological materials associated with the ranch.

20:30A particularly unusual case involving a large, decomposing wolf-like animal discovered near the property.

20:37According to Brandon, samples from the animal, including part of its jaw, were sent to Woodruff for analysis.

20:44Fugel stated that Woodruff identified the jaw as belonging to a direwolf,

20:49an extinct species that lived in North America thousands of years ago.

20:54Other specialists involved in the investigation have addressed various aspects of the ranch,

20:58including its archaeology, geology, electromagnetic phenomena, and the aerial anomalies.

21:05Brandon Fugel has also become more open about his beliefs regarding the investigation's findings.

21:10In interviews throughout 2026, he has discussed the team's work beneath the MESA,

21:16their ongoing investigation, and the so-called bubble,

21:20and the potential that some evidence might indicate something artificial beneath the property.

21:25It's important to note that these discussions do not constitute proof of UFOs,

21:30extraterrestrial activity, or anything supernatural.

21:34However, after years of secrecy, speculation, and extraordinary claims,

21:39investigators at Skinwalker Ranch are becoming more open about their findings,

21:44and perhaps one day, we will uncover the truth about what is happening there.
