00:06Over the years, I've probably watched thousands of supposed UFO videos, and if I'm honest,

00:11most of them are easily explainable. Blurry lights, balloons, obvious CGI. But every now

00:17and then, I find ones that are not so easy to dismiss. In this video, I want to do something

00:22a little different. I've gone back through some of the most famous UFO footage ever recorded,

00:26search what we actually know about each one, and rank them from the videos we can pretty

00:31confidently explain, all the way down to the ones that even after everything I could find,

00:35I still don't have a good answer for. And there is a big difference between where we start,

00:40and where we end up. So, starting with the one that fooled millions, and ending with the footage

00:45that genuinely makes me wonder, what exactly are we looking at? Hit those lights, sit back,

00:51and let's get going. The Haiti and Dominican Republic UFO

01:03In 2007, two authentic-looking home videos were uploaded to the news and politics section of

01:08YouTube. These clips were posted from two different anonymous accounts, and appeared to capture close-up

01:14sightings of a craft, resembling those associated with Area 51. The video showed the craft hovering

01:20above the Caribbean beaches of Haiti and the Dominican Republic at sunset. The shaky amateur

01:26camerawork indicated panicked witnesses had recorded the footage. Take a look, the first

01:32one was allegedly captured in the Dominican Republic, and the second one in Haiti.

02:12with youtube in its infancy and before the invention of ai the video soon surged to the

02:17platform's most viewed list and quickly spread to discussion forums and news sites across the

02:22internet sparking intense debate about their origin and authenticity skeptics labeled the

02:28videos as computer generated fakes likely part of a viral marketing campaign however even the

02:34staunchest skeptics couldn't find anything in the footage that was clearly fake and some referred

02:39to them as the best ufo videos ever although it was noted that the quality of the videos looked

02:45too good to be true with so many people analyzing every frame of the clips it didn't take long for

02:51imperfections in the story to be spotted for instance there were no reports of flying objects

02:56in the haitian or dominican press or anywhere else for that matter additionally after a few viewings

03:04ufo haiti began to feel overly staged despite the camera work's shaky hand and difficulties with focus

03:10she still managed a perfectly cinematic tracking shot of the ship as it flew directly overhead

03:18furthermore her gasp was notably out of sync it occurred after she had aimed the camera at the

03:23ufo several seconds after she had first seen them

03:29but it was the trees that sparked the most suspicion when critics compared videos from haiti and the

03:34dominican republic side by side they noticed a palm tree in both that appeared almost identical in shape

03:41the key to understanding the videos was to find their source and one user stood out specifically

03:49barzolf814 whose video had amassed 2.2 million views

03:53eventually internet sleuths managed to track down the owner of that channel

03:56who turned out to be sam barzolf a pseudonym used by a french 3d animator

04:01filmmaker and former graffiti artist called david nicholas

04:06barzolf is a professional animator with a decade of experience in computer graphics and commercial

04:11animation who attended one of the most prestigious art schools in france

04:16he later admitted to dedicating a total of 17 hours to creating haiti and the dominican republic ufos

04:23barzolf explained that the videos were part of research for a feature film project he was developing

04:28however he had not anticipated the response and emphasized that the videos were not intended as

04:32viral marketing strategy instead he created the hoax strictly as a sociological experiment

04:38to observe public reactions but the results far exceeded his expectations

04:46whilst this one fooled a lot of people initially we are ranking this one as an elaborate internet hoax

04:51well it's interesting that to this day there are those who still believe that the hoax narrative is

04:56just a cover-up

05:00the jerusalem dome of the rock

05:07in the early hours of january 28 2001 a bright object was spotted over jerusalem

05:13several videos later surfaced online appearing to show the same mysterious event from different locations

05:18in one of the most famous clips a glowing ball of light hovers over the dome of the rock for

05:23several

05:24seconds before suddenly flashing brightly before shooting upwards into the night sky

05:29at first glance the footage looks extraordinary and the reaction was immediate take a look at this

05:36and the

06:03several other videos of the incident began spreading across the internet, with

06:07some viewers convinced that they had captured evidence of a UFO. The videos

06:11quickly went viral, attracting millions of views and generating enormous

06:15speculation. The location only intensified the controversy. The Dome of the Rock is

06:20one of Jerusalem's most significant religious sites, so an object appearing

06:24directly above it was bound to attract attention. However, as the footage was

06:29examined more closely, serious questions began to emerge. There was a significant

06:34lack of independent verification regarding the event, despite it allegedly

06:39occurring over a densely populated and heavily monitored area of Jerusalem. There

06:44was no solid evidence that numerous independent witnesses had observed the

06:47object. Additionally, the analysis of the videos raised concerns. In at least one

06:53clip, critics noted that the background appeared static, buildings, lights and other

06:58features did not seem to move as the camera captured the dramatic event. This

07:03led some to suggest that the footage might have been created using a still image,

07:07with the glowing object digitally added afterwards. The audio also raised

07:12suspicion. The reactions of the supposed witnesses seemed poorly synchronized with

07:17what was happening on screen, and there was no confirmed radar data publicly

07:21establishing the object's presence. No authenticated military footage and no

07:26reliable evidence showing that an unidentified craft had descended towards the

07:30Dome of the Rock before accelerating into the sky. Eventually, the incident came to be

07:36wildly regarded as a hoax rather than evidence of extraterrestrial visitation, and the

07:41individuals responsible for the videos were later identified in various reports.

07:47Now, we're calling this one almost certainly a fake. However, it's a great example of how easily a

07:52convincing piece of footage can transform an ordinary night sky into one of the internet's most talked

07:58about UFO stories.

08:02The Mexican Air Force UFO Fleet

08:08Okay, let's take things up a notch. On March 5th, 2004, over the city of Compenche, located approximately 380 miles

08:16from the Gulf of Mexico,

08:18military pilots were conducting a routine scouting session to monitor drug trafficking by airplane.

08:24At around 5pm, while flying at a relatively low altitude, of about 11,500 feet, they began to notice objects

08:32appearing on their radar.

08:33Using a forward-looking infrared camera, the flight crew detected and recorded 11 bright, glowing spherical objects moving at high

08:41speeds and hovering in unusual formations.

08:45They noted that while the objects were clearly visible on radar, and through thermal imaging, they were completely invisible to

08:52the naked eye.

08:54All of the objects were moving at the same speed and altitude of around 11,500 feet.

09:00Over the next two and a half minutes, the pilots continued to monitor these objects as they flew at very

09:05high speeds.

09:07Throughout the footage, the objects appeared to surround the jet, as if they were circling it, possibly observing or preparing

09:13for an attack.

09:15Take a look.

09:28When the jets stopped following the objects, they almost instantly disappeared from the cameras and radar simultaneously, never to be

09:35seen again.

09:35A couple of months later, on May 12, Mexico's Defence Department held a press conference in which they acknowledged the

09:43events and presented the video to the public in its entirety.

09:47Many were stunned by what they saw.

09:49One of the pilots, Lieutenant German Marin, was later asked if he felt scared when seeing the objects.

09:55He responded,

09:56Was I afraid?

09:58Yes, a little afraid, because we were facing something that had never happened before.

10:03Another pilot, Lieutenant Mario Vasquez, was asked whether he thought the objects were another aircraft, and he replied,

10:10I couldn't say what it was, but I think they are completely real.

10:15Major Magdaleno Castanan was asked to describe the events of that night once they saw the objects on the radar.

10:22He explained that once the jet began pursuing the objects, the crew quickly realised the seriousness of the situation.

10:28He added that once the jet backed off and ceased the pursuit, the objects vanished without a trace.

10:33Even with the release of the footage, and the testimonies from reputable, high-ranking military figures, who would gain nothing

10:40by discussing the events, many insist that the objects were not UFOs.

10:45Experts dismissed the footage as likely being caused by burn-off gas flares rising from offshore oil platforms in the

10:51Gulf of Mexico, where hot plumes of gas frequently register on sensitive infrared cameras.

10:57Despite this, the video sparked immense global media attention, and prominent Mexican journalist and UFOlogist Jamie Mawson heavily promoted it

11:06as definitive evidence of extraterrestrial visitation.

11:09Although it is worth pointing out that Mexico has a long history of fanciful UFO sightings, most of which are

11:16dismissed by scientists as space debris, missiles, weather balloons, natural, atmospheric phenomena, or hoaxes.

11:23Many believe this is just another one. It is genuine military footage, but we're going to rank this one as

11:29likely misidentified.

11:30Let's keep going, because this is nothing yet.

11:37The Kumburgas UFO

11:42For three summers, a mysterious object appeared over the Sea of Marmara, near the Turkish coastal town of Kumburgas, just

11:50outside Istanbul.

11:52Unlike most UFO stories that rely on a single blurry photograph, this one was captured on video.

11:58The person behind the camera, Yeltsin Yelman, recorded the strange object on multiple occasions.

12:04We're going to play that footage for you in a minute.

12:07Yelman worked as a night watchman and security guard, and between 2007 and 2009, he spent numerous nights filming unusual

12:15objects appearing over the sea.

12:17What he recorded would become known as the Kumburgas UFO videos.

12:21However, the details that made the footage famous was the claim that when the recordings were enlarged, some viewers could

12:28see what seemed like windows or openings alongside the object, with shapes resembling human figures inside of them.

12:35For UFO believers, this was extraordinary.

12:38If those shapes were indeed occupants, the footage didn't just capture an unidentified object, it appeared to show a craft

12:46containing beings.

13:58The recordings drew international attention, and the Turkish organisation Sirius UFO Space Research Centre, who released the footage, became heavily

14:06involved in promoting and analysing the recordings,

14:09and claims began to circulate that Turkish scientific authorities had examined the material and found no evidence of digital manipulation.

14:18However, this is where the case becomes particularly controversial. Skeptics have proposed a more mundane explanation.

14:25The objects may not have been hovering in the sky at all, but instead could have been a distant vessel

14:31on the Sea of Marmara.

14:32From a great distance, the illuminated windows and structures of a cruise ship, yacht or other large vessel might appear

14:38very different from when viewed through a powerful zoom lens at night.

14:42Atmospheric conditions could further complicate the perception of the object.

14:47When an image is heavily magnified, individual lights can merge together, and reflections and shadows can create the illusion of

14:53shapes that appear more structured than they truly are.

14:57This has led some critics to argue that the supposed occupants inside the object might actually be part of a

15:03distant ship or its illuminated windows.

15:07Additionally, the videos do not provide enough reliable information to establish the object's actual distance or size.

15:13Without knowing these measurements, it becomes extremely difficult to determine whether viewers are looking at a small object that is

15:20relatively close to the camera, or something enormous that is much further away.

15:25Despite the controversy, the footage remains one of Turkey's most famous UFO cases.

15:31The recordings collected over several years in the same general area show Yellman consistently filming what he believed were unusual

15:39objects.

15:40For believers, this consistency suggests that something truly unexplained is being observed.

15:46And while there is no doubt the footage itself is authentic, the true nature of the object captured has never

15:52been definitively determined.

15:54Now perhaps the most intriguing part about this case is not the claim that aliens were caught on camera, but

16:00rather the fact that after years of analysis and debate, we still cannot definitively identify what was captured.

16:06For that reason, we're ranking this one as possibly conventional, but nevertheless pretty creepy.

16:16Pilot Footage

16:22This next video was released in 2002.

16:24Pilot George A. Artiga recorded the footage while flying a Cessna at an altitude of 12,500 feet in Colombia.

16:33The video captures an unidentified object speeding through the sky in broad daylight, darting past the cockpit window at an

16:40astonishing speed.

16:42Take a look at this.

17:01The object appears to be light in colour and pointed at one end.

17:06Artiga would later claim that he and his co-pilot had spotted the anomaly floating in the air between the

17:11cities of Medellin and Santa Fe before it drastically picked up speed.

17:16The pair had originally wanted to follow the UFO, but later abandoned the search after it suddenly turned and began

17:22hurtling towards them.

17:23When the footage emerged online, commenters were quick to point out that it looked like just another runaway balloon or

17:29random piece of debris.

17:31However, Artiga was adamant that the height he was flying at was too cold for a balloon to survive, and

17:37it didn't appear to be a drone or an airplane, as it was totally different to anything he had seen

17:42before.

17:43The recording caught the attention of controversial UFOlogist Jamie Mawson, the Mexican journalist, who promoted claims of supposed alien remains

17:51in Peru that have turned out to be hoaxes.

17:54Despite this, Artiga sat down with Mawson to discuss what he saw, and told him that the object moved with

18:00something totally unknown, without means of propulsion, with movements that he considers intelligent.

18:06Jamie claimed that it was the greatest UAP evidence of all time.

18:11Now, it's a bold claim, and we're undecided on this one. Visually, it looks impressive, and there is no reason

18:17to dispute the claims Artiga made.

18:19However, it could have just been a balloon or a floating piece of rubbish.

18:23Our ranking for this one is unexplained, but we'd love to hear your thoughts on that.

18:32The Mossel Orb

18:38In 2003, a short clip of military footage was released that appeared to show a metallic sphere seemingly moving through

18:44the air.

18:45The footage later dubbed the Mossel Orb was filmed in 2016 by a US MC-12 surveillance aircraft flying over

18:53the city of Mossel in Iraq, using full motion infrared sensors during the battle against ISIS.

19:00The object appears suddenly, and moves erratically. Take a look.

19:08This four second clip was obtained by Dustin Slaughter, a leading UFO investigator, through a Freedom of Information request.

19:15It was then shown to the public by UFO podcaster and friend of the channel, Jeremy Corbell, and journalist George

19:21Knapp on their podcast, Weaponized.

19:23This release followed the declassification of the first still image from the video, which the Pentagon made public as part

19:30of a classified briefing for US officials regarding ongoing investigations into unidentified aerial phenomena.

19:37It's considered the first publicly released military film the UAP recorded directly over an active conflict zone.

19:44So what does it show?

19:46Well, no one really knows.

19:48The object lacked traditional flight surfaces such as wings or rotors, and despite years of investigation, the official stance of

19:56the US government, including assessments linked to the Pentagon's All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office, classifies this specific object as unexplained.

20:06Some military and aviation analysts suggest that the reflective spherical shape resembles stray tactical surveillance balloons, such as tethered aerostats

20:15used in the region.

20:16However, there is no official consensus confirming this.

20:20Taking into account the thorough investigation into the object has yielded no results.

20:25We cannot help but rank this one as a genuine unidentified flying object.

20:32The Aquadilla Airport UFO

20:38On a warm night on April 25th, 2013, a US Customs and Border Protection aircraft, a DHC-8 turboprop equipped

20:47with an infrared sensor, was operating near Rafael Hernandez Airport in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico.

20:54At around 9.20pm, the sensor detected a mysterious heat signature in the area.

20:59The footage captured by the camera was extraordinary.

21:02The object seemed to move swiftly through the area, surrounding the airport, before heading toward the coastline.

21:08The object then appeared to enter the ocean, but rather than stopping, slowing down or disappearing, it seemed to continue

21:14moving beneath the surface.

21:16Moments later, it emerged from the water and continued travelling.

21:21As the three-minute recording neared its end, another intriguing detail caught attention.

21:26The object appeared to split into two separate entities, what initially looked like a single glowing object transformed into two

21:34distinct ones that continued moving before eventually disappearing from the sensor's view.

21:40Sounds hard to believe, but here's the footage.

22:39Unsurprisingly, the incident sparked significant debate.

22:43Was the camera capturing an unidentified craft performing maneuvers that defined the capabilities of conventional aircraft,

22:49or was the footage simply a misrepresentation of something much more ordinary?

22:54While researchers studied the infrared imagery along with other related information from the incident,

22:59and one prominent investigation was conducted by the Scientific Coalition for UAP Studies

23:04which argued that the observations were difficult to reconcile with traditional objects.

23:09However, not everyone agreed.

23:11One significant issue with this case is that the video may not accurately represent the object's actual behaviour.

23:18Infrared cameras do not produce standard photographs, they detect infrared radiation,

23:23making it challenging to assess an object's actual size, distance, speed and position.

23:29Perspective can also create the illusion of dramatic movement,

23:31which became central to alternative explanations for the footage.

23:36Critics suggested that rather than being an advanced craft travelling underwater,

23:41the object could have been an ordinary airborne entity

23:43whose movement appeared distorted through the camera's perspective and tracking system.

23:48More recent official discussions have leaned towards commonplace explanations,

23:53such as the possibility of sky lanterns.

23:56However, this interpretation has been strongly contested by some independent researchers

24:00who argue that it does not adequately account for all the features visible in the footage.

24:05It's important to note that this video is real,

24:08and what makes the footage so intriguing is unlike blurry photographs taken by anonymous witnesses.

24:13This case starts with a government aircraft, an infrared sensor and several minutes of video.

24:20Although to date, what exactly it captures is not known.

24:23That's why we're going to rank this one so high, as it's genuinely difficult to interpret,

24:27and could quite possibly be one of the most authentic and best UFO pieces of footage out there.

24:42Okay, so the mother of all footage.

24:44It's gotta be the 2019 USS Omaha.

24:48As we mentioned earlier, American documentarian and filmmaker Jeremy Corbell has been a significant figure in UFO research,

24:55gathering and verifying numerous images and videos that challenged conventional understandings of aerial phenomena.

25:02In May 2021, he released footage of an incident that occurred on July 15th, 2019,

25:09when UFOs were reportedly seen interacting with the USS Omaha, an independence-class littoral combat ship.

25:18That night, between 9pm and 11pm, while the ship was stationed in a restricted area off the coast of San

25:24Diego,

25:25radar systems on board detected a squadron of unidentified crafts maneuvering around the vessel.

25:32Initially, the video captures a round object hovering above the ocean,

25:35showcasing the astonished reactions of sailors as it moves alongside the ship,

25:40before ultimately splashing down into the water.

26:43The incident then took a dramatic turn with the appearance of secondary objects, along with footage released by Korvel that

26:50reportedly showed 14 red flashing lights detected on the warship's radar.

26:56Initially, nine UFOs were recorded traveling at an astonishing speed of 158 miles per hour.

27:02As the unidentified crafts approached, five additional objects appeared, moving at a significantly slower pace.

27:32That was pretty much perfectly 0-0-0 relative, right?

27:35Yeah.

27:37While there is insufficient extended footage to support these events, personnel on duty that evening have consistently confirmed their occurrence.

27:46Crew members from the USS Omaha expressed amazement at the extraordinary maneuverability shown by these crafts, which mysteriously vanished after

27:54over an hour of impressive aerial acrobatics.

27:58One crew member highlighted the importance of the event, stating, regardless of the outcome, it's world-changing due to the

28:05incredible energy and capacity of the crafts.

28:08The release of the footage triggered a swift surge of inquiries and media attention, prompting the US government to respond

28:14to the public's interest in these unidentified aerial phenomena.

28:18Cobal, a strong advocate for government transparency, played a crucial role in confirming the authenticity of the footage.

28:25This led the Pentagon to announce that it would evaluate the evidence through the Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force.

28:31The unidentified aerial phenomenon, which was observed descending into the ocean, was never recovered, and no debris has been found

28:39to date.

28:39To further investigate the incident, the Black Vault, an organization dedicated to archiving declassified government documents, requested shipping logs from

28:48the USS Omaha, and through the Freedom of Information Act, they obtained the Ship Deck Logsheet from July 2019, which

28:56confirmed that the USS Omaha had indeed observed a possible unmanned aerial system approaching the water before it disappeared from

29:04both radar and sight.

29:05However, the logs were notably sparse, leaving many questions unanswered.

29:11Speculation about the nature of these crafts is widespread.

29:14Some suggest they could be advanced drones or experimental military aircraft that the crew was unable to identify.

29:21Others theorize that the observed phenomena may be due to perceptual effects, such as parallax, which can complicate visibility.

29:29There is, of course, considerable debate regarding the possibility that these encounters were extraterrestrial.

29:35I think I'm going to rank this one.
