I’ve been watching supposed ghost videos online for well over a decade now. And if I’m being truthful, most of them are rubbish. Fishing line, clever editing, someone conveniently standing just out of frame… once you know what to look for, a lot of these videos become pretty easy to explain. But not all of them.
So today, we’re doing something a little different. I’ve gone back through some of the most infamous ghost footage ever recorded, and we’re going to rank each one based on three things: how creepy it is, how convincing the evidence actually is… and your chances of sleeping afterwards. We’ll start with the ones I’m fairly sure have a rational explanation. But as we move through the list, they’re going to become increasingly difficult to dismiss. And by the time we reach the final video…
Well, it’s over 20 years old, it was filmed completely by accident, and after all this time, I still don’t have a good explanation for what the camera captured.

00:54I've watched a ridiculous amount of ghost footage over the years and to be honest most of it can
00:59be usually explained but every now and then you find ones that are harder to dismiss in this video
01:06we're going to start with some ghost videos that are most likely fake or at least have a fairly
01:11reasonable explanation and then we'll be working our way up to the ones that are genuinely difficult
01:16to explain I'm going to be ranking each one how creepy it is how good the evidence actually is
01:22and most importantly your chances of sleeping after seeing them there are a couple here towards the end
01:29that I've known about for years and I still do not really have an answer for them as always

01:42Russian office poltergeist
01:47let's kick things off with a video that most of you have probably not seen
01:51it's pretty old and was uploaded long before AI was even conceived
01:55the clip was uploaded in July 2014
01:57by the youtuber DM Secret Facts
02:00a channel featuring various cryptid videos from Russia
02:05while some of these videos are clearly fakes
02:07others at the time were harder to dismiss
02:11one such example is the Russian office poltergeist video
02:14in the footage the alleged poltergeist seems to subtly manipulate objects in the room
02:22initially the lights start behaving oddly
02:24both the overhead light and the desk lamp experience sudden surges
02:28with their brightness intensifying dramatically in just a few moments
02:32whatever is happening doesn't appear to be as simple as someone flicking a switch on and off
02:37then things take an even stranger turn
02:39a pen glides unevenly across the table
02:42disturbing the papers around it
02:45strange shapes can be seen moving through the room
02:48and as one of these shapes approaches the desk
02:50the lamp suddenly falls onto the table
02:54the strangest part comes at the very end
02:56in two incredibly brief frames
02:58what appear to be apparitions suddenly manifest in the room

03:55now there is however one rather suspicious detail
03:58the camera is positioned perfectly to capture everything
04:01while that alone doesn't prove the video is fake
04:03it's definitely something to consider
04:06ultimately there is no independently verified evidence confirming that what we're seeing here is a genuine paranormal event
04:12but whether this is a real encounter
04:14an elaborate hoax
04:15or simply the result of clever editing
04:18to the young minds of 2014
04:21it is still one seriously creepy piece of early internet footage
04:25for that reason
04:25we're giving this one a 6 out of 10 on creepiness

04:44now this one is pretty odd
04:45it was uploaded to the youtube channel sasquatch fever and sons
04:49on may 14th 2019
04:51and starts with the guy saying
04:53it is finals weeks
04:54and he's been working so hard
04:56that he hasn't slept for 48 hours
04:58but now he's got some down time that he finds he can't sleep
05:01so instead he decides to read out the whole transcript of the 2002 spider-man films
05:07now why you'd want to do that when you can't sleep we have no idea
05:10but during the video
05:11which is nearly an hour and a half in length
05:13strange things start happening in the background
05:17now we aren't going to show you the whole video
05:19but here is a compilation of the incidents

08:47It could be some kind of poltergeist activity, like some have suggested,
08:50or the whole thing could be a prank.
08:52But taken at face value, it's pretty creepy.
08:55Our verdict on this one is a 6 out of 10 on creepiness,

09:07Squatter or poltergeist?
09:14Now, this random upload is from several years ago,
09:17on a channel called Rocky Mills,
09:19which features only a handful of videos,
09:21and is not focused on paranormal content.
09:23The footage captures a chance encounter a man had
09:26while inspecting a house he was working on.
09:29Upon discovering the property in disarray,
09:31he initially suspects that a squatter has taken up residence.
09:34He begins searching the house while recording with his phone,
09:37prepared to confront any intruders.
09:39However, as the footage reveals,
09:41he encounters much more than he expected.

11:35It is evident that the man is not expecting any paranormal activity, unless he is a very
11:39good actor. However, from the moment he first enters the basement, it is clear that he
11:44is unsettled and senses something unusual, rather than just a squatter. When the lights
11:50begin to flicker, he becomes frightened enough to flee, dropping his phone in the process,
11:54which spins in a strange manner. He later returns cautiously to retrieve his phone.
12:00It seems that the entity, whoever or whatever it may be, is clearly unhappy at being disturbed.
12:06It would be interesting to know if the new occupants of the refurbished property have
12:10had any similar experiences. Because of the apparent randomness of this clip, we find it
12:16quite unsettling, giving this one a creepiness of 7 out of 10, evidence a 2 out of 10, and
12:22a chance of sleeping a 6.5 out of 10.
12:34Now this eerie 3am video was captured on a motion-activated camera at Deer Park CBS School, near Cork City
12:41in Ireland.
12:43It appears to show a door opening and closing on its own, furniture moving, and a locker
12:48flinging open and scattering paper. Take a look.

13:56At the time, the school principal, Kevin Barry, revealed that they were alerted by movements
14:00in the school, and after reviewing the footage, were astonished by what they saw.
14:05The incident was filmed when the school was empty.
14:08The area where the footage was recorded is known for its eerie atmosphere.
14:12Even pets commonly brought to the school by teachers are hesitant to walk through that
14:16section, apparently.
14:18Deer Park is the oldest school in Cork City, founded in 1828, and it does have a rich history.
14:24In the 19th century, criminals were hanged on the grounds, and there is a long-standing
14:28rumour that the place is haunted.
14:31The school principal has acknowledged that the incident might have been an elaborate prank,
14:35but he's unsure.
14:38In a strange twist to this story, just a month after the first video surfaced, another video
14:42was released by the school, capturing events in the same location.
14:47This time, over the course of 1 minute and 40 seconds, sounds of crashing can be heard
14:52in the hallway.
14:53A backpack suddenly propels itself off a row of lockers.
14:56A poster appears to fly off the wall, and a chair moves on its own.
15:01Take a look at the second clip.
15:48Now, some have suggested that both videos are fake, and the result of clever editing, and
15:53many online snoofs have attempted to debunk the clips.
15:55However, the school denies these claims, stating that people have suggested that we've used
16:00a green screen or edited something out.
16:02I wish our school had these types of resources.
16:07Now, we have our doubts about these videos, of course.
16:09If you look closely, there are some indications of editing, but hats off to the creator if
16:14they are indeed fake.
16:16They successfully convinced a lot of people online, and generated millions of views.
16:21Because of our doubts on this one, we're going to rank it a 5 out of 10 on creepiness,
16:25a 2 out of 10 on evidence, and a chance of sleeping a 4 out of 10.
16:33Jimmy's World Grill
16:39This footage was recorded at Jimmy's World Grill in Luton, England.
16:43While the restaurant itself isn't known for anything particularly special, and has had
16:47minimal reports of paranormal activity, the staff have mentioned hearing strange, unexplained
16:52noises in certain areas.
16:55However, in 2013, an unusual incident caught the manager's attention.
17:00A customer dining at the restaurant reported hearing a loud noise behind her.
17:04Initially, she assumed something had fallen from the table behind her, but when she turned
17:08around, she found no one sitting there.
17:11Concerned, she informed the staff, who investigated, and discovered a broken plate, food, and cutlery
17:17scattered on the floor.
17:19This entire incident was captured on security cameras.
17:22The footage shows a woman finishing her meal and leaving the restaurant.
17:26Soon after, the chair, menu, cutlery, and napkin appeared to move on their own.
17:31But don't just take my word for it.
17:33Take a look at this.
18:15It's definitely a strange one.
18:16And while it could easily be faked, some people wonder if a popular restaurant like Jimmy's World would stage something
18:22like this in front of many guests.
18:24The representative from Jimmy's head office even stated,
18:28The incident certainly left the staff at the restaurant feeling uneasy, and the manager mentioned,
18:46that locking up at night now feels a little scary.
18:50I want to give this one a solid 7 out of 10 on the creepiness,
18:54a 4 out of 10 on the evidence,
18:56and a chance of sleeping a 5 out of 10.

19:04Disneyland Ghost
19:10Disneyland California is one of the biggest tourist attractions in the world.
19:14Since its opening in 1955, there have been numerous reports of supposed paranormal activity.
19:20There has been long-standing speculation that the park is haunted by former workers,
19:24and some even claim to have spotted the ghost of Walt Disney walking around.
19:28While in 2009, a security camera may have captured evidence to support these claims,
19:34potentially proving that Disneyland is indeed haunted.
19:37The footage allegedly shows a ghost walking through Disneyland's haunted mansion,
19:42and even walking over water at the rivers of America.
19:46This recording was made after hours, when the park was completely empty.
19:50Let's take a look.
20:46People speculate that the apparition
20:49might be the result of reusing VHS surveillance tapes,
20:52what others firmly believe is the apparition
20:54of one of the many ghosts set to haunt Disneyland.
20:59Recently, the footage resurfaced again on Reddit,
21:02exposing it to those who hadn't previously viewed it.
21:04It sparked a heated debate,
21:06although what it actually shows still lacks a definitive answer.
21:10Of course, we would love it to be the spirit of Walt Disney himself,
21:14surveying the park that carries his name and life work.
21:17What do you make of this one?
21:19We're giving this one a solid 7 out of 10 on creepiness,
21:22an 8 out of 10 on evidence,
21:24and a chance of sleeping a 7 and a half,
21:26especially if you're staying at the park.
21:32Oklahoma Wreck-A-Ghost
21:38There is nothing quite like a classic CCTV video,
21:42especially one from 2002,
21:44when surveillance cameras were still in their infancy.
21:47This particular footage was recorded
21:49at the Phuket Auto Storage Lot,
21:51a car wrecking yard in Oklahoma.
21:54Definitely not a location you would anticipate experiencing any paranormal activity,
21:58and that's what makes this one even creepier.
22:01That evening,
22:02two people were on duty when they noticed what appeared to be a possible intruder.
22:06They went outside to investigate the area,
22:09but found no one.
22:10However, after reviewing the footage,
22:12a figure was clearly visible on the video.
22:15Take a look.
22:36The footage attracted significant attention from locals,
22:39and was even featured on local news.
22:42As mentioned,
22:43you wouldn't think this place could be haunted,
22:46but Chris, the owner,
22:47explained that the lot often stores calves involved in horrific accidents.
22:51This led people to speculate that the apparition captured in the video
22:55was that of a woman
22:56who had been involved in a fatal crash just weeks earlier.
22:59Her mangled car had been stored at the Phuket lot
23:02and was removed by her insurance company
23:04just hours before the video was recorded.
23:07The woman was Tracy Martin,
23:09a 33-year-old mother of twins
23:11who succumbed to her injuries on June 30th, 2002.
23:15Even her family came forward
23:17convinced that the apparition was Tracy,
23:19stating that it would be typical of her to return
23:22and let them know that she was okay.
23:24As for debunking the footage,
23:27the car lot has no motive to fake it,
23:29and there is no concrete evidence suggesting it was a hoax.
23:32While that doesn't mean it's definitely a ghost,
23:35it's one of those videos
23:36that even non-believers find hard to explain.
23:39With its possible tragic backstory,
23:41we have to rank this one a 9 out of 10,
23:44an 8 out of 10 on evidence,
23:46and a chance of sleeping also an 8.
23:51Hampton Court Palace
23:57Hampton Court Palace was built in 1525 on the banks of the River Thames,
24:01just outside central London.
24:04Famously designed by Henry VIII,
24:06it is the scene of many dramatic events,
24:08including the death of Henry's third wife,
24:10Jane Seymour, during childbirth,
24:12and the imprisonment of his fifth wife, Catherine Howard,
24:15before her execution at the Tower of London.
24:18And both King Charles I and Oliver Cromwell
24:21also have an association with the building.
24:24Well, on three consecutive days in the winter of 2003,
24:28Hampton Court Palace security staff were called to close one particular fire door
24:31near the palace's clock court.
24:33However, despite rumours of ghostly goings-on at the palace,
24:37nothing was ever caught on camera.
24:39Until this CCTV footage.
24:41Take a look.
24:49The mysterious costumed figure was spotted just before Christmas.
24:53Could it be that this sighting indicated that former residents
24:56from the Tudor era still linger in the area?
24:58After all, the place has long been believed to be haunted,
25:01and this sighting only adds to the intrigue
25:03surrounding the spirits of its former inhabitants.
25:06All the staff there that day said there was no one dressed in that costume,
25:09and firmly believe that they captured something paranormal.
25:13Now, of course, it just looks like someone dressed up,
25:15but they were adamant that this was not the case.
25:18For that reason, this one is pretty creepy.
25:21I'll give this one an 8 out of 10 on creepiness,
25:24a 9 out of 10 on evidence,
25:25and a chance of sleeping.

25:33The Gettysburg Battlefield Figures
25:40Now, for our final video,
25:42this is perhaps one of the most well-known,
25:44but it's also one of the most terrifying
25:46and hard to explain.
25:47It was captured over 20 years ago
25:49at the battlefields of Gettysburg,
25:51and it's a truly old-school creepy video.
25:55In November 2001,
25:57a couple named Tom and Delia Underwood
25:59went on vacation in Pennsylvania.
26:02During their trip,
26:03they decided to visit
26:04the famous Gettysburg Battlefields,
26:06where the Union and Confederate armies
26:08clashed over three days
26:09in July 1863,
26:12resulting in more than 51,000 casualties.
26:17While filming holiday memories
26:18with their video camera,
26:20Tom and Delia noticed
26:21some strange movements in the distance.
26:24Curious, they set up their cameras
26:25to see what they could capture,
26:27and this led to some confusion
26:28at the beginning of the video,
26:29as both of them tried to come up
26:31with explanations for what they were seeing.
26:33Faint spectral shapes
26:35are visibly moving
26:36from left to right
26:37before vanishing.
26:38At one point,
26:39it appears as if two individuals
26:41are walking in a line,
26:42one behind the other,
26:43almost as if they are marching.
26:46Delia suggests
26:47it's just other people,
26:48to which Tom replies
26:49it can't be,
26:50not up in the trees.
26:52Take a look at this.

27:43There's nobody down there no more.
27:46To the left of the screen,
27:48a grey flat rock marks the edge of a steep drop of about 10 feet,
27:51indicating that the entities depicted are not on solid ground,
27:55as normal humans would be in such a situation.
27:59Over the 135-plus years since the American Civil War,
28:03the landscape has changed significantly.
28:05What now appears to be a drop
28:07could have once been a hill,
28:08a trail,
28:09or a staging post in the past.
28:12Triangle Field,
28:13the location where the Underwoods filmed this clip,
28:15was the site of intense and bloody close-quarters combat
28:18during the second day of the Battle of Gettysburg.
28:22Blood was shed by both sides,
28:24which contributes to why this location
28:25is considered one of the most haunted battlefields in America.
28:30Visitors to the site have reported hearing sounds of battle,
