00:21Exactly, Ale, Venezuela's second national popular consultation of 2026 is drawing to
00:26a close.
00:27After a day in which communities across the country took to the polls to decide which
00:32local projects should receive public funding.
00:34More than 5,000 communal circuits participated in this nationwide process, with over 37,000
00:41projects put forward by the communities themselves.
00:44For this, authorities reported the opening of over 11,000 voting centers and the deployment
00:49of more than 130,000 Bolivarian National Armed Forces personnel as part of the Republic plan
00:55security operation.
00:57Throughout the day, communities answered the call made by Acting President Desi Rodriguez
01:01to come to the polls, resulting in the participation of families, young people and older adults as
01:07residents choose proposals addressing everyday needs ranging from water supply and electricity,
01:12to road repairs, health services, education and community production.
01:16This addition also brought a new group into the process, with the addition of 428 condominium
01:23boards, expanding participation to more urban communities and residential buildings.
01:28Beyond the vote itself, the consultation is designed to give communities a direct role in setting
01:34local priorities and deciding how public resources can address them.
01:38The consultation is part of the Bolivarian government's 7th transformation plan, which sets out
01:44a roadmap for economic recovery, national independence, security and peace, social protection,
01:51political transformation and popular power.
01:54With voting close to concluding, since polling centers will remain open until there are people
02:00in line, as you can see here, to cast their ballot, attention now turns to the next stage, which
02:05is the funding and implementing of these selected projects.
02:09Today's process has unfolded in peace and in an orderly manner, once again showcasing Venezuelans'
02:15commitment to push the country forward with unity and popular participation.
02:19That is all for today, we'll go back to you now in the studios.
