00:00Welcome back to From the South, and we go back now to one of the most relevant topics of the state,
00:17a significant day for popular power in Venezuela, with this second public consultation already underway.
00:24Let's hear now from our correspondent Bruno Falsi, who is on the ground.
00:27Hello, Bruno. Tell us, how is everything developing over there?
00:39Hello, Belém. Everything is well here.
00:43We are in the center of votation in the Comuna Cacique Guaicaicuro, in the center of Caracas,
00:49where many citizens are voting in the participative process of direct democracy of Venezuela.
01:00As you can see, everything is passing well, and we are following the election in many centers of votation.
01:09Exactly. Bruno, so tell us a little bit more about the commune in which you are now, right, at the moment.
01:16Tell us, what are the projects that the people are voting on?
01:19Have you been able to speak to some of the people there? What did they tell you?
01:23Between the projects that have been debated in the commune, there is the activation of the water purification
01:39and the legalization of the houses that have been occupied by many people.
01:47And the most important one is the buying of equipment for the clinic of the community.
01:54And as you can see here, they have a census with all the families, the population, the voters.
02:02This is done in all the communities of the country.
02:07There are more than 5,000 consuls, community consuls in all Venezuela.
02:15And they are voting now, and they will keep voting until the end of the day.
02:20Now, Bruno, we know, of course, that this is not the first public consultation.
02:24It's actually the fourth one in total and the second one this year.
02:28So I wanted to ask you just what other projects did this commune vote on in the past?
02:37Are there any projects that have already been enforced in this community?
02:48Yes, Belen, as you can see, there's everything right in the walls of the commune,
02:54as in all the communes in the country.
02:57And here you can see the projects that the Consul Comunal have approved in the last years.
03:07Between the projects that have been made, here you see the photos.
03:13You can see the photos here of all the projects that have been made.
03:17There's the gasification.
03:19You can see the laborers working in the gasification of all the houses of the neighborhood.
03:25And two, another important infrastructure work that have been made in this neighborhood
03:33is the waterproofing of the houses, as you can see in the photos.
03:38Everything is explained in the wall by the own neighborhood who organized themselves
03:45in the popular power of the people, that's how the Bolivarian revolution and the Bolivarian democracy
03:55is made here in Caracas, the capital of Venezuela.
