The regional government has transferred resources directly to local communities, enabling projects like sports field renovations and equipping civil protection units with motorcycles and first-aid kits. This fourth popular consultation will select 1,573 community projects, showcasing a self-government model that prioritizes local decision-making. Residents emphasize that these initiatives not only improve living conditions but also reinforce national sovereignty against external pressures.

00:00This is the city of San Cristobal, capital of the state of Tashira, located in the Andean region
00:04in the southwest of the country, where the citizens are known for their friendliness and hospitality.
00:09Here in Tashira, we are very happy because we have the San Sebastian Fair, which is one of the
00:16best fairs in Venezuela. It is called the San Sebastian Fair, and we really enjoy the friendship
00:22with everyone who comes here, with the foreigners, with those who come to us. We are all brothers
00:27and sisters, and we really have to come together and be brothers and sisters to all, and to
00:32those we can give love, we give love.
00:36This region has also been present in popular consultations, consolidating various socio-productive
00:43projects in its 236 communities and communal circuits. Among these projects is the repair
00:49and beautification of a sports field.
00:51The people's power is organized, the people's power determines the priorities, and then the
01:01government gives the money to the people's power, and the people's power transforms for
01:05the better. On this occasion, the Tashira government transferred resources to the people's power,
01:12and this previously abandoned and dilapidated sports field is now as good as new. It seems
01:18incredible, but only the people can save the people.
01:24Another of their completed projects was the acquisition of for motorcycles and first aid
01:30kits for the civil protection unit.
01:34A delivery of motorcycles to protect our men and women who are constantly on emergency duty,
01:39because we are a municipality with a high level of risk due to the area, and civil protection
01:42is always there to keep an eye on things. We continue here from the municipality of Torbs,
01:47with the support of our President Nicolas Maduro, and our governor, because one of these projects
01:51was financed directly by the government of the state of Tashira, and the other by the
01:55federal council. It was a single project, but in this consultation, President Nicolas Maduro
02:00decided that there should be two projects for each commune circuit.
02:03They assured that the popular consultation are proof that the country guarantees its sovereignty
02:11and peace, despite the aggressions of the U.S. government.
02:14So tomorrow we will get up early, organized as we are, with great awareness to vote for popular
02:24projects, and at the same time we are reaffirming that we are a sovereign people, independent
02:31from any foreign power, that we are not warlords, but are also organizing to guarantee peace.
02:38In this way, the state of Tashira is preparing to hold the fourth popular consultation in which
02:491,573 community projects will be selected for the benefit of its inhabitants, demonstrating the
02:55success and social impact of the new model of self-government, promoted by the national government.
