00:00And the faces of the major feud between boxing and MMA is Dana White, who's the CEO and president of
00:06the UFC, and Austria De La Hoya, former boxing champion, who is also the president of Golden Boy Promoters, and
00:13he's the manager of Ryan Garcia.
00:15So here's what happened with the feud. Now, they have always been feuding, because Austria De La Hoya likes to
00:19talk crap about MMA, UFC, but Dana White in particular.
00:22Dana White's always said that boxing has gone down the tubes, and he points to people like Austria De La
00:27Hoya as a promoter, as an example.
00:29But the feud came to a head recently during the Ryan Garcia-Connor-Benn fight, which was put together by
00:34Zufa and was aired on Paramount, and Dana White had a lot to do with that.
00:39Now, Oscar De La Hoya represents Ryan Garcia.
00:42Correct.
00:43Now, Oscar De La Hoya was supposed to be at the fight, but he didn't show up at the fight.
00:46How come?
00:47Because he was afraid. He said that he was afraid that he was going to be set up, meaning he
00:51was going to show up to the fight,
00:52and he was going to be embarrassed, either. They were going to put him in a weird seat or not
00:54give him access.
00:55Are we getting, like, paranoid, coked out Oscar De La Hoya?
00:59That's exactly what it was.
01:00So, Dana White, if you can pull up the Latin nation story, Dana White actually talked about it.
01:05Yeah, I have it here.
01:06He actually talked about it. Now, can we play for a second?
01:08Let's play it.
01:09Let's see what Dana White had to say.
01:11Oh, we don't get audio there.
01:12Oh, we're not getting audio right now?
01:13Technical difficulties, because we're doing it live, my friend, doesn't worry.
01:17So, you can see him talking, basically.
01:18Please, paraphrase for us.
01:20Absolutely. So, basically, Dana White says that Oscar De La Hoya is out of his mind.
01:23Yeah.
01:23He had to take it. He knew what he was going to say.
01:25He had access to the VIP area, and he was going to be walking out with Ryan Garcia.
01:31But Oscar De La Hoya got all paranoid, and they don't want to be embarrassed,
01:34because even though Ryan Garcia is his fighter, he really didn't have anything to do with putting these fights together.
01:40And now Zufa is also putting together the Tyson Fury-Anthony Joshua fight.
01:45Yeah, a big one coming up.
01:46So, Dana, now the other promoter, the guy that represents Anthony Joshua, who's Eddie Hearn,
01:51who is also a rival of Oscar De La Hoya within boxing, is now teaming up with Oscar to basically
01:57talk shit about Dana White
01:59and trying to keep him from taking over boxing the way Dana White's saying that he's going to do.
02:04Do you feel like boxing needs new blood, per se, in the promoter side of things?
02:11Yes, because here's what UFC did right. UFC would get the best fighters to fight the best fighters,
02:16whereas in boxing, they protect fighters. They have the star fighters fighting cans, for the most part, basically,
02:21fighters that aren't good to make sure they stay undefeated to then have one big money fight at the end.
02:27But then it's kind of like what happened with Floyd Mayweather and Fanny Pacquiao.
02:33They end up making these big fights later on in their careers instead of allowing them to fight in their
02:38primes.
02:39So what the UFC model is, forget about keeping them undefeated.
02:42We won the prime fighters at all times.
02:44At all times. So that influence, you know, and the way they put together the fighters,
02:48the way they produce the fights from top to bottom is changing.
