00:32Okay, start with what's confirmed, because even that part is wild.
00:36On October 12th, Marvel Studios debuted a new international poster for Doomsday.
00:42The lineup?
00:42Sam Wilson as Captain America, Mr. Fantastic, Cyclops, Thor, Yelena Belova, Professor X,

01:08And in the sky behind it all, a second world caught mid-collision, hanging over the ruins
01:14of Xavier's school for gifted youngsters.
01:17Yelena's batons are crackling, and Thor's lightning isn't blue, it's gold.

01:25When audiences last saw him, at the end of his own Disney Plus series, he had stopped the
01:30multiverse from tearing itself apart by becoming the god of stories, sitting on a throne at
01:36the center of the timelines.
01:38That is not a seat anyone leaves casually.
01:41So there are really three ways to read his spot on this poster.
01:45Reading one is a fan theory, not anything Marvel has said.

03:02Then, on September 25th, Avengers Endgame Encore reached theaters with new scenes, including
03:09a visit to the Time Variance Authority.
03:12Mobius is told that Earth-1005, the universe of the Fox X-Men films, is about to collide with
03:18another world, Earth-1127.
03:21The two Earths start firing missiles at each other.
03:24More alerts flood in.
03:25Three universes.
03:27A hundred.
03:28A thousand.
03:29Three thousand.
03:29Monitors mark whole realities as destroyed, including the worlds of the 2003 Hulk film
03:36and the 2015 Fantastic Four film.
03:39And Ouroboros delivers the verdict.
03:41The multiverse is collapsing.
03:44That scene explains the brutal logic of an incursion.
03:47When two Earths collide, both universes die, destroy one Earth, and the other universe survives.
03:54The X-Men, it seems, have faced that choice before.
03:57Which brings us to the report about how Doomsday begins.
04:01According to scooper James Mack, the film opens with Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man, the Peter Parker
04:07from Sam Raimi's trilogy, defending his Earth from an incursion.
04:11Standing against him, Wolverine, Deadpool, and Magneto.
04:15Wolverine fights him directly, while Magneto reportedly drops enormous bombs on the city.
04:21At one point, Spider-Man pleads with them and mentions that he has a daughter.
04:25Some retellings add a wife, but the report itself names only the daughter.
04:30Either way, the same report says his world is completely destroyed.
04:35And in a story where an entire planet is wiped out, the implication isn't hard to draw.
04:40There's a caveat worth knowing.
04:42Earlier rumors claimed this fight is where Tobey's Spider-Man dies.
04:47Mack has said publicly that Spider-Man and Wolverine do not die in Doomsday.
04:51So, the opening may be devastating, but that doesn't make it final.
04:56And it isn't only Spider-Man's Earth.
04:59Mack also reports that Doomsday includes flashbacks showing the remaining X-Men being killed during

06:57If Odin can send an army from beyond, giving his son a share of his power isn't much of

07:03For context, Jane Foster died at the end of Thor Love and Thunder in 2022, and was last
07:10seen arriving at the gates of Valhalla in a post-credits scene.
