00:00In this video, I will show you how to change your password on your Steam account.
00:05To get started, what you need to do is open up Steam, and once you're logged in,
00:10you want to come up to the top left-hand corner, click onto Steam up here,
00:14and from this menu that comes up, you want to come down and click onto settings.
00:18Now, once you've done that, you want to make sure that on the left-hand menu,
00:21you'll click onto accounts, and from here, you want to click onto account details.
00:26From your account details screen, what you need to do is come over to the menu on the left-hand
00:31side
00:31and click onto security and devices.
00:35Then what you want to do is come down a bit, and you're going to see the option here to
00:38change password.
00:40Give that a click, and what that's going to do is take you to this screen,
00:43where it's going to ask how you would like to change your password.
00:46So what they're going to do is send a verification code to the phone number they have for you.
00:50If you don't have that, there is an option here as well.
00:52Now, if you don't have access to that phone number, or you didn't receive the code,
00:56so you just want to select the option from here, give it a click.
01:00If you don't have your phone number, just select you don't have access to that number,
01:03and what they can do alternatively is email an account verification code to the email address instead.
01:10So once you've done that, you want to enter the verification code that you receive,
01:13whether that's by text or by email, and then click onto continue.
01:18Then it's going to take you to this screen, where you can change your password.
01:21So what you need to do is put your new password into the box just down here,
01:25and then re-enter your new password.
01:28Once you've done that, click on to change password at the bottom.
01:31And after a minute or two, what it's going to do is change and update your password.
01:36And then what it's going to do is take you back to the login screen,
01:39where you can log in with your new password.
01:41So that's how to change the password on your Steam account.
