00:00Nebraska are trying to finally, finally break through
00:06and beat a top-10 team like Indiana.
00:10And this has been a fascinating number to watch.
00:14There was clearly some buy on Nebraska in the market,
00:19and everybody woke up and just kept on clicking Indiana.
00:24Seven and a half's gone.
00:26There was a time where you could have, you know, paid to get a flat seven
00:31at maybe minus 120, 125.
00:36Nope.
00:37The shortest number I see now is eight and a half.
00:40There's a nine out there.
00:42The Indiana bets just keep on pouring in, Dave.
00:46Talk to me about a big one in the Big Ten.
00:50See, we talk narratives in these games, and sometimes the narratives are obvious,
00:54and sometimes the narratives are not obvious.
00:56You look at this game, and you could look at multiple narratives.
01:01Indiana has sleptwalked through the season.
01:03Zignetti probably has a point that they shouldn't be seventh in the country.
01:06They've played nobody.
01:07They haven't looked good in playing nobody.
01:09Is this a wake-up game?
01:11Is this one of those where he's like, let's go beat the crap out of Nebraska
01:14and let the world know we're still the defending champs.
01:18We got Ohio State next week.
01:19Or do they continue coasting and it's a trap game?
01:24We got Ohio State next week.
01:26I lean towards Indiana shows up and blows Nebraska out,
01:30but I'm not going to get behind laying eight and a half or nine at this point.
01:33At seven, I was interested.
01:35It's one of those games where you didn't get in early.
01:38You missed the number.
01:39You talked about it.
01:40Like, at seven, I would have been interested.
01:42At eight and a half, Indiana has not shown anything.
01:46That said, they did win the national title last year.
01:49They got one of the best coaches in the country,
01:51and this legitimately could be a wake-up-and-show-up game.
01:56Or he tells his team to just beat Nebraska.
01:58We got Ohio State next week.
01:59So my lean is on the Indiana side at the older number,
02:03but I also know that they're one and four against the spread,
02:06and they've played teams a lot worse than Nebraska.
02:08But, Kevin, how good is Nebraska?
02:10Do we even know how good they are?
02:14I think the, just on the Indiana side,
02:20I, so week one, played Northwest, North Texas, excuse me, right?
02:25We get the cover.
02:26Cool.
02:27They then win their next two games, 93-0.
02:34But it's Howard, and it's Western Kentucky,
02:39and 55-0 against Howard wasn't a cover,
02:42and 38-0 against Western Kentucky wasn't a cover,
02:46and that's where the conversation starts to bubble.
02:50And then the Northwestern game happened,
02:53and Signetti said something.
02:57And I, listen, I'm not Signetti's biggest fan.
03:02Um, but he said something, and it certainly worked on me
03:06at the end of the game where they beat Northwestern by six.
03:09He's like, oh, I'm just going to keep telling people
03:11that's a good football team.
03:13If you would have asked people a year ago at this time,
03:16or maybe, you know, two, are we a good football team?
03:18They would have said no.
03:19Like, people are, I'm telling you, like,
03:20Northwestern is a good football team.
03:23And Northwestern obviously followed up the Indiana game,
03:27making Signetti look pretty smart.
03:29I mean, they walloped Penn State.
03:31I mean, they walloped Penn State.
03:33Like, to win is one thing, right?
03:35Like, unless that new field they have is worth 15 points
03:38a home field in Kansas, right?
03:43And Indiana followed up the North,
03:45and this is where, like, it's starting to, like,
03:47freak me out a little bit, because I think Rutgers
03:49is one of the most embarrassing programs
03:50at the power level going right now.
03:52But, I mean, Indiana obliterated Rutgers.
03:57I mean, they average, like, nine yards per play.
04:00I don't know if anybody's, like, you know,
04:02had a little bit of fun peeking through the box score.
04:04Hoover, 20, 27, 251, 9.3 per pass,
04:07four passing touchdowns on the ground.
04:09Turbo Richard, 13 for 204 and a score.
04:12What?
04:13Lee B.B. Jr., 18 for 122 and a score.
04:16Excuse me.
04:17As a team, they go 8.4 on the ground.
04:20I mean, it's just, like, they scored 47.
04:23They could have probably scored 74 if they needed to.
04:27And where I think Nebraska have unfortunately drawn
04:33the short stick is people have kind of,
04:38ah, you know what?
04:40Look ahead spot.
04:41Ohio State on deck.
04:43This is where I think Cignetti is just, like,
04:45a bit of an evil genius.
04:47I don't think Cignetti thinks show nothing wins small.
04:53I think his thought is win by 1,000.
04:56That way, if we lose to Ohio State next week,
04:59how far can they really drop us?
05:01So I like Indiana in the game.
05:04And yet I just went on that super long diatribe
05:08to tell everybody I don't have this on my card
05:12because every number is bothering me.
