00:00I didn't wake up this morning feeling dangerous.
00:02I woke up this morning feeling confident.
00:04I woke up this morning with this weird feeling
00:06that the Jets are going to beat the Browns on Sunday.
00:08And there's a couple of reasons why
00:10I kind of have this weird sense of
00:13belief, despite
00:13the embarrassment of Sunday against Chicago.
00:16Number one, I just don't believe in the opponent.
00:18Like, I'm not scared of the Cleveland Browns.
00:20I give them a lot of credit for their 3-1 start.
00:22I'm sure a lot of people feel that way about the Giants,
00:24as we've talked about over the first hour.
00:26I'm highly skeptical.
00:27I just am. I'm highly skeptical
00:29about their offense. I'm highly skeptical of Deshaun Watson.
00:31I'm highly skeptical of the coaching staff.
00:33And their defense.
00:35They're not highly ranked in any of these
00:37positions, any of these roles, scoring
00:39points, etc., yards.
00:41But they have a good quarterback
00:43play right now. Deshaun Watson's
00:45not making a ton of mistakes, and he looks more
00:47athletic than he has in a lot of years.
00:49It feels like the Deshaun Watson that we saw
00:51in Houston in the early part of his
00:53career.
00:55Can they
00:56win against
00:58a team that historically
00:59hasn't? Of course they can't.
01:01But they've got to play a clean, better game
01:03than they did these last couple weeks.
01:05Well, that's kind of the second part.
01:06Like, as discouraging
01:08as Sunday was, and it was
01:09bad. I mean, you could put it on the list
01:11of ugliest Jet games one can watch
01:13in the last half of a decade.
01:15Also against a bad defense.
01:15Like, Chicago hadn't been good this year
01:17until they played the Jets.
01:19I just don't think they're that bad.
01:21Like, one thing I need to see from this team
01:23moving forward, no matter how they play
01:24on Sunday, is a level of consistency
01:25from this offense. Their offensive line
01:27got off to an incredible start week one
01:28against Tennessee.
01:29We haven't seen that
01:31punishing attack like we saw
01:33since week one. And obviously,
01:35Brees Hall not being their hurts, but still,
01:37they should be able to run the ball
01:39consistently with Braylon Allen
01:40and Isaiah Davis if they get them on the field,
01:42or even the creativity of running plays
01:45with Kenyon Sadiq, which they've done
01:47a few times, running, you know,
01:48jet sweeps with Kenyon Sadiq.
01:50Like, they should be able to run the football.
01:52I think they will.
01:53Geno Smith has done a good job
01:54of avoiding turnovers, but prior
01:56to Sunday's game against Chicago,
01:58was actually playing good football.
01:59I expect him to be better.
02:01I also expect that Frank Reich,
02:03who owned a lot of his mistakes
02:04in yesterday's press conference,
02:06is going to realize, I've got to find
02:07every which way to get the ball
02:08in the hands of Garrett Wilson.
02:09And so, I just flat out expect
02:11that what we saw Sunday
02:13is not going to be something
02:14we see this Sunday.
02:15Yeah, I felt like last week,
02:17not that he didn't trust Garrett Wilson,
02:19but it wasn't a priority.
02:20And when you have one of the best players
02:22in the game,
02:23you've got to get him the football.
02:24I don't care how you do it.
02:26Forget Kenyon Sadiq on jet sweeps,
02:28but Garrett Wilson on jet sweeps.
02:29Just get the ball in his hands.
02:30Get the ball in his hands in space
02:31and let him be the great athlete
02:33that he is.
02:34And if there was the one indictment
02:37that you would look at
02:38and be worried about,
02:39was that that wasn't a priority last week.
02:41It wasn't.
02:42And it should be a priority every week.
02:43And I believe it will be
02:44more of a priority this week
02:46because of how obvious it was last week.
02:48So, I feel a sense of
02:50they're going to win this game.
