00:00I'm good with either David Bailey or Arvel Reese.
00:02Like, there's no bad pick.
00:04Now, obviously.
00:04Now, you know they're very different.
00:06Yes.
00:07Very different.
00:07Yes, but the Jets need everything, so very different doesn't matter.
00:12You know what I mean?
00:13Like, the Jets need, and I would take out Jeremiah Love in this because of the position he plays.
00:18Right.
00:18This is why things are different.
00:19I think the Jets, in rebuilding their defense, need so much that whatever David Bailey is that's different,
00:26which is more of your traditional edge pass rusher versus Arvel Reese, who's different than him,
00:31I can use both.
00:33So, I'm trying to figure, this at least is my thinking on this, Tiki.
00:36My thought is, very basic thought is, I want the guy who I'm the most sure about
00:41who's going to be the best player for the next 10 years.
00:43Yes.
00:43Because I need so much.
00:44Yeah.
00:46So, first of all, am I on the right path, and are the Jets on the right path,
00:50that those are the two defensive players they should be choosing from?
00:52Those are definitely the two they should choose from.
00:54Okay.
00:55David Bailey is a traditional edge rusher.
00:57He's always on the edge.
00:59He's stand-up and hand-in-the-ground pass rusher.
01:02He's got a ton of different moves.
01:04He has a plan, it seems like, when you watch him.
01:07I called one of his games.
01:08You know he's getting to the quarterback.
01:10You know he's going to be disruptive, and he had 14 sacks or something like that,
01:1414 1⁄2 sacks last year, so the production shows itself.
01:19Arvel Reese, while listed as an edge rusher, isn't really an edge rusher.
01:24He's a chameleon.
01:26He's everywhere.
01:28He lines up in the well as a 3-4 linebacker, and he's rushing on guards,
01:33kind of like the Abdul-Carter role that we saw the Giants employ Abdul-Carter in last year.
01:38He'll also just be a spy.
01:40So, in a division where you have...
01:42Which they could use, Josh Allen and Jordan May.
01:43100%.
01:44When you have a Josh Allen, particularly Josh Allen, who will kill you when things break down
01:50and he just scrambles, Arvel Reese is an unbelievable spy tracker of quarterbacks.
01:54But he also then can get on the edge of the line of scrimmage, and he's a stupid athlete
01:59and run-around tackles.
02:00And so, for my endorsement for the New York Jets, I have to go Arvel Reese.
02:06Because I think that versatility will serve your super-powered head coach who's calling defense
02:14and Aaron Glenn.
02:17I think it gives him...
02:18Play call is my superpower, really.
02:19...gives him so many options to use a guy and just have him wreak havoc everywhere.
02:25Yeah, but is this a Colin Powell endorsement?
02:28Or is this a, you better take Arvel Reese endorsement, otherwise the country's dead?
02:33It's a Colin Powell endorsement.
02:34Okay.
02:34Because that's how I feel.
02:35Because if you take David Bailey, you're going to be just fine.
02:38And the reason I would take David Bailey is he feels safer.
02:41He is.
02:42And that's what I would want.
02:43Yeah.
02:43Because I need good players.
02:44I need really good players, and I need a lot of them, and I can't have a bust.
02:49Like, I remember last year...
02:50Oh, Arvel Reese is not going to be a bust.
02:51Is he bust-proof?
02:52He's bust-proof.
02:53Okay.
02:53Because I asked you guys, both of you, about Abdul Carter, because you were very high on
02:57him after the Giants drafted him, and I said, hey, he could always bust out.
03:00And you're like, no, he can't.
03:01He can't be a bust.
03:02I said, is he bust-proof?
03:03And you both said he is.
03:03He's bust-proof.
03:04He is.
03:04We're one year in, he's not a bust, so we're good for now.
03:07No, he was bust.
03:08He's not even close.
03:09He was great.
03:09I'm saying he's not a bust.
03:11Why are you yelling at him?
03:12Because you're using a word that has nothing to do with him.
03:14Well, he had an unbelievable rookie season.
03:17No, no, you're missing...
03:18Despite the fan base not knowing what the hell they were watching and saying, he sucks.
03:22Okay.
03:23You're very sensitive, because I didn't say he was a bust.
03:26I said, I asked you guys, is he bust-proof?
03:29He has no sex.
03:30He's not good.
03:31Okay, buddy.
03:33But I didn't say any of that.
03:34Look at what he's being asked to do.
03:35I'm just...
03:36And then determine whether he's good or not.
03:38I was just asking that last year, was he bust-proof?
03:41You said he is.
03:41He can't be a bust.
03:42And I'm telling you, both these guys are bust-proof.
03:44Okay, that's all I'm asking.
03:45I didn't say anything bad about Abdul Carter.
03:47So draft one of them.
03:48And that's it.
03:49And I'm going with David Bailey.
03:51They can both run for president.
03:52Whoever loses is vice president.
03:54They did that a few times.
03:55All right, Sean, just to prove you're not a Jet troll, because you're not, you're a football...
03:59You're an IFO.
04:00You're an INFLDO.
04:02An independent NFL draft observer.
04:05That's a good one.
04:05Who do you endorse for the New York Jets?
04:06I'm endorsing David Bailey as well.
04:08But again, you're going to be fine with Arvel Reese.
04:10And I know they're a little different.
04:11But in terms of what Tiki was talking about, the versatility, you know what it reminds me of
04:14when Aaron Glenn and the Lions, when you took Aiden Hutchinson.
04:16That's the comp.
04:17I've heard that comp by a lot of people.
04:18And I think that's just, you knew he was the safe, going to be awesome, maybe never be
04:22Miles Garrett, but really freaking good.
04:24Right.
04:25And that's what it reminds me of with Aaron Glenn.
04:26I don't know how you go wrong.
04:27If I told you we'd get Aiden Hutchinson, aren't you head over heels?
04:30Of course.
04:30Yes.
04:31Absolutely.
04:32I just, you got to be fair.
