00:00Stay tuned because in just a short while, the India Bloc meeting is set to begin.
00:04They'll want to strategize how precisely to be able to inform the President, Rappadi Murmu,
00:10who they are meeting at around 8pm, about what their view is as a united opposition.
00:15The meeting of the MPs is starting already, we're told.
00:18They are arriving at the old parliament building.
00:20This huddle is ahead of the President's meeting at about 8pm, expected tonight.
00:25So it's likely, of course, that the agenda will be discussed ahead of the meeting.
00:30India Bloc, Netaz, will be meeting the President primarily to put forth their view
00:33when it comes to against the CEC, on the SR exercise and more.
00:38They will be meeting the President, especially as the protests continue against
00:42Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
00:43The government has said he's not going anywhere, he's done nothing wrong.
00:46The court hasn't really found any concerns and issues when it comes to the SIR for it to be recalled.
00:53Let's listen in now to what the leaders of the opposition are saying
00:56and how geared up they are to meet the President.
01:09Tracking all the latest coming in from the opposition and the government,
01:12what is the strategy like for the opposition right now?
01:16Amit, ahead of the meeting.
01:21Pooja, the first agenda that has to be dealt with is, you know, the names of leaders who have to
01:28go and meet
01:29President, Draupadi Murmoor.
01:31What I'm given to understand through my sources, that six names were already locked this morning.
01:35Rahul Gandhi, leader of opposition in Lok Sabha.
01:38Mr. Malikarjan Kargay, leader of opposition in Rajasabha.
01:41Mahmata Banerjee of the AITC.
01:43Dejasvi Yadav from RJD.
01:45Rajiv Rai from Samajwadi Party, because Mr. Akhleesh Yadav would be busy with some personal work in UP.
01:50Along with that, M.A.B.B., who is the general secretary of the CPM.
01:54These six names were locked.
01:56Now, the India Bloc will, in a way, also decide the rest of five to six names.
02:01I'm given to understand that the number would be anything beyond 10.
02:04So, 12 or 30 names could be decided by India Bloc.
02:08Maybe the delegation that has been approved by the President's office could be something around 10.
02:13That is why these numbers are being, you know, taken.
02:15After that, what we will see is that around 7.45, I'll request Lokendra to pan the camera once to
02:22the other side.
02:23That's the parliament building.
02:25And from this side, you will see these parliamentarians from the India Bloc heading towards Vijay Chowk, where I'm standing
02:31right now.
02:32This is not a long stretch, maybe 200 meters inside the parliament, another 150 meters out here at Vijay Chowk.
02:41And that's the barricade where you will see the banner of Delhi police kept.
02:45So, out there, these MPs would be stopped.
02:49The select members who have approval to go to the President's house, they will be proceeding here from via Raisina
02:57Road.
02:58Yes, stay on with this visual because these are the latest images on your screen that have come in.
03:03The opposition MPs sitting together, posing.
03:06And this is a moment of unity that they are showing, that it's not about Samajwadi Party or the TMC
03:12or the Congress Party.
03:13They're together in this.
03:14And of course, a small delegation is going to meet the President.
03:17I want to ask you that, Amit, are all these MPs going to go from Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha, irrespective
03:23of parties?
03:23Or is there a specific delegation of a number that is going to represent?
03:32Pooja, I was told through my sources within the India Bloc that the meeting, yes, every MP will be there
03:39in this particular meeting who are in Delhi.
03:41And most of the MPs were already given a signal that you cannot leave the national capital till the 9th
03:46of October.
03:48And this was the reason why they were told to stay back in the national capital.
03:52In fact, attempts were made by the Congress Party as well to reach out to the senior leaders of the
03:57India Bloc to ensure that when this moment comes in,
04:00where they have to go and meet the President, in that moment, there should be top leaders of the India
04:05Bloc present as well.
04:06And that is why Mohameda Banerjee specifically, you know, flew from Kolkata yesterday itself to reach here.
04:12Abhishek Banerjee has been camping in the national capital for the past four days.
04:16And the CPM General Secretary is also stationed in the national capital for past four to five days.
04:22This is the moment for which all of this calibration was done.
04:26Mr. Akhilir Shadhaf, I'm being told, has a very personal reason because of which he couldn't make it to the
04:33national capital.
04:33And that's why Rajiv Rai's name was selected by Samajwadi Party.
04:37He's one of the senior most MPs within the Samajwadi Party.
04:40Isn't that noticeable, Amir?
04:41That previous protest at Rajgat also, Akhilish Yadav was not seen.
04:46And again, this time, or do you think this is just about prior engagements?
04:49Final answer.
04:53Yeah.
04:54So yesterday, Akhilish Yadav's tour to Ayodhya was already locked.
04:58So that is why he was not there.
04:59Today, I'm being told it's a very personal reason because tomorrow there's some family event.
05:04I believe it is Mulaim Singh Yadav's, you know, death anniversary because of which he is not making it to
05:13here, to the national capital.
05:15And because of which Rajiv Rai's name was sent.
05:18But Samajwadi Party is also sending fillers that no, there is no miscommunication between the Congress Party and Samajwadi Party.
05:25And India bloc is on board as far as Ghanish Kumar issue is concerned.
05:29For now, we can see.
05:31And Amit, keep tracking that meeting as he's showing us the rule to the President's estate already being barricaded.
05:37The prep is on for the opposition leaders to know.
05:398 p.m. tonight, we're expecting that meeting to be happening.
05:42We'll keep tracking of what happens with that meeting and the protest.
