00:06Well, we are now told that it was about two and a half hours.
00:09That's how long the CWC meeting lasted, with several leaders heaping praise on Rahul Gandhi for his early warnings
00:15and for flagging alleged malpractices in the SIR exercise and the electoral process.
00:21When a leader said that the credit for this went to Rahul Gandhi, he responded by saying the credit goes
00:26to the Congress.
00:27I have no identity without the Congress.
00:30Those are internal things that have come out from that meeting.
00:33A CWC member even remarked that CEC Gyanesh Kumar was very obstinate and would never resign.
00:42Priyanka ji immediately responded by saying that why will he not resign?
00:46Didn't Dharmir Pradhan resign? He had to.
00:49We will keep agitating on the streets and build momentum till he is forced to resign, the leader said.

01:07Moshami, so am I reading it right that how there was a protest, a nationwide protest that came out from
01:15the youth,
01:16came from Cockroach Janta Party for the removal of, you know, Dharmir Pradhan.
01:20A similar template will be tried out by the Congress Party for the removal of the CEC?
01:29Perhaps, you know, it's very interesting because that remark was made by Priyanka Gandhi,
01:35as our sources told us, in the light of the fact that there was an entire agitation by the CJP
01:42over Dharmir Pradhan,
01:44and they had taken to the streets, to which Priyanka Gandhi said, we are not dependent on anybody.
01:50The Congress is, has been raising this entire EC Rao for quite some time now.
01:56We've been battling on the ground and we can, you know, the Congress can in time, in time amplify that
02:04momentum
02:05to make sure that we force Ganesh Kumar to resign.
02:09So it was said in that light, saying that the Congress is enough.
02:12It is not dependent on anybody and we don't need the help of any other forces, in fact,
02:18to get to the streets and get the people to rally behind this entire issue, is what Priyanka Gandhi said.
02:26There are very interesting political discussions there that happened where Rahul Gandhi also pointed out
02:32to the fact that the CWC members should, in fact, you know, believe in the fact that the HM and
02:39the PM,
02:40that China is up and they're about to go and the Congress is raising the right issues.
02:46So they should believe in what the party is raising, is what Rahul Gandhi appealed to the members.
02:52Yeah, but interesting times, no, Moshmi, Congress seems to want to be the only party talking about it
03:00while they're also trying to rally the other opposition members.
03:04We understand tomorrow there is an India alliance meeting as well.
03:08Akhile Shadha has said that he's not attending.
03:10He's sending some senior leaders, but he's not coming.
03:12Of course, the backdrop is that, you know, UP elections are on and there's a hard negotiation going on
03:17on seats between the SP and the Congress over there as well.
03:19But keeping all of this in mind, what exactly is the strategy in the mind of Rahul Gandhi
03:25that the Congress will go ahead with?
03:27They say more protests, but does that mean only protest of the Youth Congress like we saw today?
03:32Only protest of netas of the Congress or united protest of all opposition parties?
03:38What are we looking at?
03:41So really, you know, this is, I think the Congress wants to make it very clear.
03:45And that's why we've seen Congress protesting solo in the beginning to make sure they underline the fact
03:52that Rahul Gandhi has been raising this issue when there were many members of the allies
03:58who had said that this is not possible and if your job is done well,
04:03then how can you raise suspicion over the EVM or the electoral role?
04:08So, you know, there was a real drive that many allied members and Rahul Gandhi said
04:13that we have been raising this issue even that nobody believed it.
04:17And to which many said, credit goes to you.
04:20So, Rahul Gandhi said, no, not to me, but to the Congress because I'm nothing.
04:25I have no identity without the Congress.
04:27So, the Congress underlining that there, Sonal, that, you know, it was the Congress
04:33and now the several units will take to the streets of the Congress and we are doing that.
04:39And then they will take it to the India block and perhaps increase that ambit to the BJD,
04:44the BRS or who knows, maybe the ARP, but I doubt that.
04:48But yes, they would want to increase the ambit to, in fact, target this against the BJD,
04:55use this as a target against the BJD.
04:57And that's why we see that tomorrow's meeting is going to be very crucial as far as what,
05:03whether all the other India block members agree to it.
05:06And little small detail I would like to give you is that the Samaj Wadi party apparently has told
05:12and Akhleesh Yadav has told the top brass of the Congress that the Raj Sabha elections are underway.
05:17They are prepping up for the Raj Sabha elections.
05:20And that's the reason that he would not be able to make it in person and send a representative.
05:27It's also important to highlight this is not the first time that Akhleesh Yadav has sent representative
05:32to the India block meeting and he's been unable to attend.
05:36Right.
05:37Moshmi, in the beginning, you mentioned the five demands the CWC has put forward now when it comes to the
05:44CEC.
05:45Could you take us through what exactly are these five demands?
05:51So if you look at the demand, one is the second, in fact, the resignation of Janesh Kumar that he
05:58should immediately resign.
06:00You know, the striking off of these 13 crore voters that have been disenfranchised, revoking that decision,
06:10scrapping of the entire SIR exercise and our entire rethink and reboot.
06:16These are the three primary demands that she mentioned in the resolution.
06:22The two additional demands is what Mr. Kharge mentioned in his speech also.
06:29It was about giving the voters enough time to, in fact, register their protests, give in their papers
06:36and not chasing a deadline and also reposing faith, listening to the opposition,
06:43giving opposition a hearing similar to that of the ruling party members is what Kharge has demanded.
06:51So, you know, very interesting that it also talks about the resignation of the prime minister and the home minister.
06:58The resolution goes on to add that the prime minister and the home minister should resign because their situation is
07:05untenable.
07:06The members have been elected, the parliament have been elected illegally.
07:10The 2024 electoral process was illegal and therefore, you know, the laws being passed in the parliament are illegal.
07:18So, this is a very huge, aggressive attack.
07:21Aggressive attack indeed.
07:22And while there was praise for Rahul Gandhi, there were some snide remarks at Shashi Tharoor as well.
