00:00The Eagles are under this big, big spotlight right now.
00:03Why did they trade Cam Juergens?
00:05Why did Lane Johnson just retire after four weeks?
00:09You know, what is going on?
00:10Is there a rebuild coming?
00:12Where do you stand here and where the Eagles are at right now, B?
00:18A state of emergency.
00:20But the reason why I say it's a state of emergency is because of the type of movements that's taking
00:26place.
00:26I'm going to start first with Lane Johnson.
00:27And mental health issues is always very important.
00:32News came out that it has to do, allegedly, that it has to do with his mom and his dad.
00:36So we have to really see about that.
00:39But him retiring, he retired being a legend, a Philadelphia legend.
00:42Without him, we wouldn't have the Super Bowl that we had now.
00:45But in the same breath, when you look at this offensive line, everything was contingent on Lane Johnson.
00:51But Lane Johnson basically said, hey, Bale is there and he's going to be the key to success.
00:56So I'm not worried about that.
00:58Now, fast forward, when I look at Cam.
01:00Now, fast forward, when I look at Cam, Cam gots to go.
01:04I'm actually happy that we send him to the Baltimore Ravens.
01:07Because if you're looking at the Baltimore Ravens, they have been losing centers left and right.
01:11They lost the center to free agency.
01:13They're losing centers to injury.
01:15So now you got Cam.
01:16Cam is an injured prone center.
01:17You might lose him a week later.
01:19But at least I got draft picks out the deal.
01:20So I'm not too worried about that.
01:22But if you're looking at the Eagles, I'm so happy that this rebuild is taking place now.
01:28I can rip the Band-Aid off and just go through the turmoil early.
01:31It's a rebuild, John.
01:33Go ahead.
01:34Let me say this.
01:35Let me say this, too, while I'm here.
01:37Okay.
01:39Lane Johnson decided to retire for personal reasons.
01:44Yes.
01:45And this bozo Stephen A. Smith went after him as a man.
01:54Bro, when people have family members struggling, the least a television personality can do is chop it up as,
02:04hey, man, the guy, for reasons outside of football, the guy thought that it was better for his mental health
02:11to step away from the game.
02:12If you don't have people in the locker room calling him out, who are you?
02:17Who are you?
02:19Stephen A. Smith has had a great career.
02:21But what he's turned himself into is embarrassing for journalism.
02:26Stephen A. Smith knows a ton of people in the Philadelphia Eagles organization.
02:30He could have got on the phone, like simple as a Google search, and found out why Lane Johnson was
02:36retiring.
02:37He could have used his thumbs to find out why Lane Johnson was retiring.
02:42But he'd rather go on television and disparage a man who is retiring because of what he calls his mental
02:51health.
02:52Shame on Stephen A. Smith for going after Lane Johnson.
02:55And I had to say that, man, because I thought that was completely distasteful what he did this morning on
03:00his show.
03:01And I hope he retracts that.
03:04I hope he does some actual research and apologizes.
03:07So this is what happened.
03:08And this is what the theory that people are coming up with, that Stephen A. says these things on first
03:13take, and then he goes on his own show and retracts and says his apology.
03:18He did that today about this issue.
03:20Like, mere hours later, he goes on his own show so that that show can get views so he can
03:27apologize about it.
03:28It's like, that's such a lame move.
03:30He's done it multiple times now.
03:32It's basically like he goes on ESPN to prop his other platforms up.
03:37So everything that he has, everything he has agenda-wise, he props it up in a different light.
03:42So everything can be funneled into Sirius XM radio and all that good stuff like that.
03:47But I'll say this, though.
03:49Mental health is something you don't play with.
03:51And what I mean by this, we sit here, and especially with football, right?
03:55We talk about CTE, we might necessarily, you might have jokes about it with the Drewski skin, all these type
04:00of things, right?
04:01But when it comes down to mental health, right, especially with a player, this can cause injury to a whole
04:06different extent if I'm not locked in for whatever amount of it, especially being an offensive lineman.
04:11Your job is to protect the quarterback at all times.
04:13If your mental's not there, you will not protect nobody, and you will actually end up hurting yourself in the
04:18long run.
04:18So what Lane Johnson did, he actually was taken off previously and during the preseason.
04:23I, and this is me, this is a personal statement, I felt he should have taken the time off then
04:28and just stopped then.
04:29But, you know, anybody that's going through things, you try to use what your favorite thing is.
04:34If it's sports, if it's music, you try to use it as an escape.
04:37And that's what he was trying to do, but he couldn't do it no more.
04:40So I completely understand that as a whole.
04:44Now, to focus on the Eagles as a whole, how we ski, how we, how we ski Mads Robinson over
04:51there is cooking everybody when it comes to these boys.
04:53And what you mean, stop it.
04:55If you look at, if you look at the 2028 draft capital I'm sitting here with right now, I can
05:00go get anybody I want.
05:03I can go get you, John.
05:04The Eagles wings are 12-piece fried hard extra hot sauce.
05:09Mwah, mwah, mwah.
05:10Cook, get them out of here.
05:12Yeah.
05:12Cook.
