00:01The private jet linked to the discovery of 521 kilograms of methamphetamine in Laos did not leave Subang Airport with
00:09the 23 bags later found to contain the drugs, says the charter firm that operated the flight.
00:15Singapore-based CGT Asia Private Limited said a Filipino passenger boarded the aircraft at Subang on October 1 without any
00:25carry-on baggage.
00:26The passenger told the crew he intended to collect luggage containing vague products in Laos for the onward flight to
00:33Manila.
00:33However, the crew was not informed that there would be about 23 pieces of luggage, prompting safety concerns over the
00:41unusually large quantity and possible dangerous goods.
00:45CGT Asia said the crew refused to carry the baggage, which was not loaded onto the aircraft at Luang Prabang
00:52International Airport.
00:53Laos authorities later inspected the luggage and found 21 suitcases containing meth, leading to the arrest of 13 suspects, including
01:02the pilot and co-pilot.
01:04A Malaysian was among those arrested, but Bukit Aman said he was not on the flight and that neither the
01:10pilot nor co-pilot was Malaysian.
01:13Malaysian police later arrested four people linked to the case, including the pilot who owns the company, operating the charter
01:20flight.
01:21CGT Asia said neither the company nor its crew knowingly agreed to transport drugs and that it would continue cooperating
01:29with authorities.
