00:00Transport Minister Lok Siu Fook says it will be up to the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia

00:08to further investigate a 2023 plane crash that killed eight on board following the findings of investigators.

00:15Lok said when it comes to enforcement, it is up to CAM to probe

00:19whether aircraft operator Jet Balai Sendiam Berhad adhered to the regulations.

00:25In terms of enforcement, it is up to CAM to probe

00:31whether they violated the regulations or violated our Civil Aviation laws.

00:38If there is a violation, action must be taken against the affected company.

00:44Last week, the Air Accident Investigation Bureau said the primary cause of the crash near Bandar Elmina,

00:51was the inadvertent extension of the lift dump spoilers.

00:55This, the AAIB said, led to a sudden loss of lift resulting in catastrophic loss of control and the subsequent crash,

01:03adding that it believed the co-pilot made the fatal error.

01:07On August 17, 2023, a Beechcraft Model 390 jet en route to Subang Airport

01:12crashed near Bandar Elmina with Pahang Executive Councillor Johari Harun among those killed.
