00:00Let me pull up the roster and the groups for this competition.
00:04And let's go down.
00:05Tell me what are the teams that excite you the most?
00:08We know Nicaragua is close to our heart.
00:10Mi Nicaragua, Nicaraguita.
00:13But big, big, big development on that team.
00:17A success story for the developing teams of the region.
00:20But let's take a look and see Costa Rica, Jairi, Trinidad y Tobago, Curaçao, Nicaragua
00:26y la República Dominicana are on Group A.
00:29Camila, who do you think is going to take the two top spots?
00:33Listen, I think a team that I definitely had high expectations for that in the past couple
00:37years, you know, they didn't qualify to the World this past World Cup, haven't been really
00:42performing Costa Rica.
00:44I think this is a team that, you know, some people say their glory days are behind them.
00:49But I think this tournament is an opportunity for them to turn things around.
00:52They have players like Ugalde.
00:54They have Alonso Martinez, who is doing really well in the MLS for New York.
00:58So I think that they have the players and they have the tactics, but it's just about putting
01:03it all together and hopefully, you know, turning their luck around and proving people that their
01:07golden years are not behind them and that they're hopefully in the future.
01:10The other team that is going to be the star of the tournament is Curaçao.
01:14After the excellent World Cup that they have, I think that they have a chance to be the top
01:20team of the region.
01:21Then behind them, I think Trinidad y Tobago also is a very important team.
01:28Haiti, we saw them that they qualified to the World Cup.
01:30Again, I don't know if they will have the sustainability to perform at the same level.
01:36Curaçao, without a doubt, I think that they were in a higher tier.
01:39Now Group B, Honduras, Jamaica, Guatemala, Suriname, Martinica y El Salvador.
01:45I think this is a tale of two teams right here.
01:47I want to hear your choices.
01:49Absolutely.
01:49I think for me, the top teams has to be Jamaica.
01:52I think that they have a really strong list of players.
01:55You have players like Bailey coming from Aston Villa, who is a really creative winger.
01:59You have incredible goalkeepers coming out of MLS.
02:02So they have the, you know, the players to back it up and they have that ammo.
02:07But I think, you know, also haven't been performing that well the past couple of years.
02:11If we think back maybe like five years ago, they were competing against teams like Mexico,
02:16against the United States.
02:17But I think that this tournament is a really important time for them.
02:21And hopefully they can, you know, show up and dominate this group.
02:25This is going to be the most interesting part of CONCACAF Nations League.
02:31There's League B and League C.
02:32But these teams are really, really just starting to compete at a significant level.
02:37But this, the League A, is really where the top tier football of the region is going to be played.
02:43Obviously, we have to set the U.S., Canada, and Mexico at a whole different level.
02:49And that's why they're not here because they're already seeded for the Gold Cup.
02:52They will be the top dogs to beat.
02:55And the disadvantage is that these teams will have so much more games under their belt for this tournament
03:03than Mexico and the U.S., but they will have higher competition
03:06because the friendlies that Mexico and the U.S. have prepared for themselves are very, very interesting.
03:13Camila, we'll talk about them next week when we get closer to these dates.
03:16But Mexico is playing Colombia and is playing Chile.
03:18And I think they're going to be excellent, excellent games for you to watch.
03:22Absolutely.
