00:00What are the best games that you watch right before this break and getting us ready for this weekend?
00:05Yeah, absolutely. For me, it had to be obviously ACFC playing Orlando Pride.
00:10This is like tugging at my heartstrings.
00:13Unfortunately, ACFC took the L, but Orlando Pride kind of getting that momentum back.
00:18And we also saw the two Giants, Kansas City and Gotham, go head-to-head.
00:23Kansas City coming up on time, coming up this time.
00:26But unfortunately, both of these teams are just disappointing me, not even in the top 10 so far in the
00:32tournament.
00:32I mean, we also have to talk about Washington Spirit beating BFC.
00:37I mean, 2-0, they really just dominated the game.
00:40Washington Spirit showing dominance, showing consistency.
00:43This is their first win in five games, though.
00:45Oh.
00:46Yeah.
00:46So, Camila, you bring a good point.
00:48Yeah.
00:48Are we seeing a moment in NWSL that shows parity?
00:53We have the champion from last season struggling at the lower end of the table.
00:58We see new teams like Portland Thorns that have always been respectable, but now they're pushing as one of the
01:03best teams in the league.
01:04Are we seeing a moment where the league is finally giving the opportunity to other teams to rise?
01:10That we see that the champion from last season is not necessarily the strongest team?
01:13That the big team like Kansas are not performing?
01:17And Sandeo Wave that lost a legendary player, they're still performing?
01:21Yeah, definitely.
01:22I mean, this is something that we criticize Liga MX 78 for having that disparity, but we're seeing it in
01:27the NWSL.
01:28Something I love.
01:29It gives every fan, every team the chance, you know, to do better.
01:33And I think that's why the league is growing so much.
01:36Speaking of the league growing, it was just announced today that a new team is coming to the NWSL in
01:422028 in Columbus, Ohio.
01:45And it is conjoined with Columbus Crew.
01:49More teams.
01:50NWSL is growing year after year.
01:53And now it's time to preview the games that are coming next weekend, my friends, because they're big.
01:59And they will define this mid-season and the second half because, you know, San Diego, Portland, Seattle, Angers City
02:07fighting for the top.
02:08But there, Denver Summit also trying to get in.
02:11So which of the games of next matchday are you the most interested in watching?
02:16I mean, speaking of Denver Summit, this is a team brand new to the league.
02:19They're playing pretty well.
02:20They're doing okay.
02:21The ultimate test, however, is going to be their game this weekend against San Diego Wave.
02:26If they get those three points, that would be massive.
02:29And it would really get them up there into the playoff standings.
02:32As a new team, to defeat the first place in the standings is always bragging rights.
02:36Alex, what game are you going to be watching this weekend?
02:39I think we have to go with Angel City, of course.
02:41Maybe they – it's going to be tough because they are going against Portland.
02:45But we got to rep L.A., you know?
02:48Hopefully, that they are able to win this game and then, you know, change their momentum for the rest of
02:56the season.
02:56Now, the champion, Gotham FC, is playing against Bay, another newish team.
03:01They came to the league with the same reel.
03:03Now, do you think this is the game for Gotham to turn this season around and start back on the
03:09winning way?
03:09I mean, it's going to have to be.
03:10It's really a yes or no answer.
03:12If I don't expect them, they are not really having a good couple games so far.
03:16They've only won one game in the past five matches.
03:20So, this win would be incredibly important to get them that momentum moving forward.
03:25Now, Washington Spirit faces their nemesis, a classical of NWSL.
03:31They go against Washington Spirit.
03:34This is a game that now is becoming one of the most expected of the season.
03:37Some of the biggest fan bases, some of the better organizations.
03:42And teams that have been both champions.
03:44What are you expecting?
03:46Oof.
03:46I mean, Kansas City, Washington Spirit.
03:48This is a really good game.
03:49I'm going to give it to Washington, though.
03:51I think they have more momentum coming in this year.
03:53Trinity Rodman is healthy.
03:55She's doing amazing.
03:56She played incredibly well with the U.S. Women's National Team this past weekend.
03:59So, I'm going to give it to Washington Spirit.
04:01What about you?
04:02What another team that is exciting to watch this weekend?
04:06I mean, I think it's definitely going to be Denver because this is a team that their first few games,
04:10they were all the way at the bottom, and now they are slowly going up in the rankings,
04:14proving that just because they're a new team, you know, they're finally getting that flow and that chemistry as a
04:20team.
04:20Something else interesting about Denver is a rookie on their team has the most minutes played.
04:25She's played over 430 minutes in the league so far as a rookie.
04:30Remember, we are still at the beginning of the league so far, but I thought that was really interesting.
04:34Thanks.
