00:37There is a creature, all scaly and red, who says he's a dragon.
00:42His friends call him Fred.
00:44But he has a big problem.
00:48He just can't breathe fire.
00:51So when he says he's a dragon, other creatures say,
00:55Liar!
00:55But I am a dragon, poor Fred insisted.
00:59I'm one of the last that's ever existed.
01:02Breathe fire, breathe fire, if you are what you say.
01:05Breathe out some fire, we don't have all day.
01:08Okay, answered Fred.
01:10That's just what I'll do.
01:12Come back tomorrow at a quarter to two.
01:14The animals murmured and nodded their heads, made a note in their diaries, then went to their beds.
01:23Oh, what have I done? said Fred sometime later to his very best friend, Alan E. Gator.
01:30I've never breathed fire.
01:33I'm not old enough.
01:36I've tried it before, but I ran out of puff.
01:39Oh, please don't despair, begged Alan his friend.
01:44I'll cook up a curry.
01:46That'll help you no end.
01:49Alan chopped up some chilies, onions, peppers, and spice.
01:54And added some peppermints, as it didn't smell nice.
01:57The food gurgled and glooped and bubbled and spat, until Fred shouted out,
02:04I'm not eating that.
02:06Go on now and try it, said Alan with glee.
02:11It'll make you breathe fire.
02:13Honest, trust me.
02:16So Fred gulped it down.
02:20Then froze on the spot.
02:23Steam shot from his ears.
02:25He was getting too hot.
02:26Breathe out, breathe out, screamed Alan at last.
02:30Oh, you'll surely explode with a mighty great blast.
02:34Then Fred just let rip with a vigorous gust.
02:38Then fell over backwards from the powerful thrust.
02:41But no flames appeared.
02:44Fred lay in despair.
02:46Try again, shrieked Alan from behind the armchair.
02:51So Fred kept on trying, until night turned to day.
02:59Then they started to gather, for the fire-breathing display.
03:05Oh, Fred! Oh, Fred!
03:06Fred! They called out in time.
03:09Prove you're a dragon, the last of the line!
03:16Then Fred raised his hand, to tell them he'd failed.
03:21Knocking over the pepper, which he deeply inhaled.
03:25Oh, dear me! said Fred, as the spilt pepper rose.
03:28I feel something building, right up in my nose!
03:33He started to huff, and puffed in some more.
03:37His chest popped right out.
03:39There was trouble in store!
03:41It was then that it happened.
03:43A mighty explosion!
03:46The sneeze was so big, it could empty an ocean!
03:50A huge sheet of flame shot over the crowd,
03:53with a roar and a whoosh!
03:57So enormously loud!
04:00When it was over, not one sound was heard.
04:05Then Alan said,
04:07Bless you!
04:08And Fred said,
04:10My word!
04:12The creatures were shocked,
04:14but no one was harmed.
04:16Then they sent up a cheer.
04:19And Fred said,
04:21I'm charmed.
04:24He'd proved to the crowd he was what he'd said.
04:28A magnificent dragon,
04:30who they called Fiery Fred.
04:52And Saul Grahamilah,
04:53and Baronщее Ground.
04:53Bye for now.
04:53My word!
04:53Bye for now.
04:54Bye.
04:55Bye for now.
04:56Bye.
04:57Bye.
