A devastating industrial disaster has struck Accra, Ghana! A massive fire outbreak swept through the North Industrial Area at Avenor, completely destroying the storage yards and production facilities of major plastic manufacturer Duraplast Ghana.

The blaze reportedly originated from illegal structures behind the company's wall, allegedly triggered by a gas cylinder explosion. Firefighting efforts by the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) were severely delayed due to blocked access roads and empty local fire hydrants, forcing the military's 48 Engineer Regiment to intervene and clear obstacles. Thick plumes of black smoke engulfed the area as millions of dollars worth of water pipes and storage tanks were reduced to ashes.
