Weekend plans could get wet across the mid-Atlantic. Rain will move in Friday, with more wet weather Saturday before a soaking rain spreads toward Philadelphia Sunday morning.

00:00It's never too early to talk about the upcoming weekend, and the weekend weather across the
00:05mid-Atlantic is a little tricky.
00:07It begins with this frontal boundary coming south and east on Friday.
00:10Now, that front will have some rain with it, out ahead of it.
00:13It's going to feel more like mid-August than early October along the eastern seaboard.
00:20Now, that front comes south, kind of stalls across the mid-Atlantic on Friday.
00:24Once you get the Interstate 80 on north, Saturday turns out to be a nice day, but that front
00:29then stalls on Saturday.
00:31Still some lingering wet weather from Washington, D.C., Richmond, back across Kentucky, and then
00:36there's going to be a little storm that forms along that boundary Saturday night and into
00:42Sunday.
00:43With that, there's going to be a soaking rain with this.
00:46The question is, is how far north does the rain get?
00:49Right now, we're going to bring that rain up toward the Pennsylvania Turnpike, toward
00:53Philadelphia, just south of New York City.
00:56The wettest part of Sunday is probably going to be in the morning, though, as drier air
01:02starts to come in from northwest to southeast as we go through the afternoon.
