00:00In this video I will show you how to connect Gmail to Claude AI. To get started what you
00:06want to do is head across to Claude.ai and log into your account. Now once you've done that you
00:12need to come over to the menu on the left hand side and click on to customize and once you're
00:17on customize what you want to do is come up to the top and click here on to connectors and
00:21this
00:22way you can come to connect different apps and things like that to Claude. So you should see
00:26Gmail here. If you don't see it then you can use the search box here and type Gmail and you
00:31should
00:31see Gmail come up. By connecting your Gmail to Claude you can do things like draft replies,
00:36summarize threads, search your inbox and many other things. It's kind of like having a personal
00:40system for your Gmail. So to add this all you need to do is click the plus button next to
00:45Gmail.
00:46What it's going to do is ask you to connect your Gmail. So it's going to take you to this
00:50screen.
00:51You just want to select what Gmail account you want to connect. Once you've done that there's going to
00:55be a permission screen that comes up. So just come and click on to continue. Then what you need to
00:59do is tick the box to select all and this is basically what Claude can do when it has access
01:04to your Gmail. So what you want to do now is just scroll down click on to continue at the
01:08bottom and
01:09as you can see it's going to take you back to this screen where we're going to get this little
01:13tick to
01:13say that Gmail has now been connected. So you can now use the chat and you can ask something related
01:19to your Gmail. So for example, I could put something like summarize today's email from my Gmail account.
01:27I'm going to send that through to Claude and what it's going to do is basically search with my
01:31connected Gmail and you can see it's getting to work now. It's starting to get everything to
01:35summarize and you can see it says I have seven emails today only to need my attention. You can see
01:41I've got a few promotional ones as well and there's a quick summary of yesterday's emails as well.
01:46Now, as mentioned, you can use Claude to do a lot of things with your Gmail. So I would say
01:50the best
01:51way to use it is to just click on Claude as a kind of personal assistant for your Gmail,
