00:17So this is the place you're going to get absolute news, absolute updates and

00:24Today I'll be joined by Apoorva Jayachandran and Sakai Raj. Let's go to the show.
00:40Well, it is a big day for the state of Tamil Nadu. A very big day considering the
00:45Chief Minister, Sri Joseph Vijay, his pre-Paul promise that is one gram gold ring for the
00:50children that are born in the state of Tamil Nadu. Now, it has become a reality with the
00:55Chief Minister travelling all the way to Madurai. There, he had a road show. People were going
01:00absolutely berserk, his fans over there and then he reaches Madurai Rajajji hospital over
01:05there. 25 new parents, mothers who don't trust anybody with their newborns trusted the Chief
01:11Minister, Sri Joseph Vijay with them who picked the child, who picked the infant. He actually
01:16spoke to the infant in a very cute manner and then he handed over the one gram gold ring.
01:21This is Taimaman Tanga Modiram Tittam. When it comes to Tamil Nadu and other southern states,
01:27the word Taimaman carries a lot of emotions. It means the brother of the mother, the only person,
01:34a newborn mother will trust her child with. That is Taimaman. That is the kind of emotion and sentiment
01:40this particular word carries. Well, in the state of Tamil Nadu, the former Chief Minister,
01:45Jainal Ida carried the term Amma. M.K. Stalin, in the recent time, he carried the term Appa,
01:51which means mother and father. But right now, the Chief Minister, Sri Joseph Vijay, carries the term
01:56Taimaman, which means the maternal uncle, the brother of the newborn mother and by which he has
02:04actually kept a small promise. One gram gold coin, more than 700 crores actually spent on this and one
02:10gram gold coin for all the children who are born after 22nd of June. Very clearly in government
02:17hospitals and the families must be permanent residents. A mother must be a permanent resident
02:21of Tamil Nadu. There is actually a portal called PICME, P-I-C-M-E should be registered and if
02:27all
02:27these criterias are met, that child will be given a one gram gold coin, one gram gold ring and that's
02:34what actually handed over by the Chief Minister. The optics were absolutely amazing to see that the
02:38Chief Minister going ahead, meeting with the family and once the mother was confident, the mother gave
02:44the newborn infant to the Chief Minister's hand, who took the child and cuddled the child. That way,
02:50it was an absolute celebration in Madurai, that Chief Minister, Sri Joseph Vijay, going ahead
02:56and keeping one of his very important promises, not just a pole promise but an emotional caution,
03:02becoming the maternal uncle. He earlier said that he'll be a part
03:06of every family and there is no better way than this one because like I said, the emotion, that value,
03:12this particular term Taimaman carries is absolutely unimaginable. There are quite a lot of songs
03:17in Tamil cinema about the Taimaman, the only person a newborn mother will trust her child with and that
03:24is the value, that is the weight of this particular word and today, Sri Joseph Vijay, the Chief Minister,
03:29went ahead and he initiated this particular program. Very clearly Tamil Nadu government also says that this is a way
03:35to
03:35go ahead and bring trust of the people in the government hospitals, the government establishments.
03:40In the state of Tamil Nadu, health department is already robust, the prenatal, postnatal,
03:45everything is on check because any kind of issue occurs over there, that is absolutely highlighted
03:50and we have the Chief Minister who went ahead and who has initiated this program. Apurwa Jayachandran is
03:55live with us. Apurwa, this is a very important day for Tamil Nadu as it gets a Taimaman.
04:00So, what exactly happened in Madurai?
04:04Well, that's right. In fact, today is a very important day here as per the Tamil Nadu government
04:09and this is Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Joseph C. Vijay going ahead and officially launching
04:15the much available Taimaman Tangamodram Tittamban. In fact, like you rightly mentioned,
04:19the term Taimaman does hold a lot when it comes to the sentiments of Tamil Nadu and Sewar.
04:26It means not more Lankan because the only person, a mother just next ripe after herself is her
04:32youth. That's a Taimaman. And that's where the scheme has also been on name as such as well.
04:38And interestingly enough, the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay is an Audrey today
04:43when he has planned to escape 25, three more children from the New Yorkers.
04:49So, these girls find the achievements so that they can keep on going ahead.
04:55And the children waving to the crowds and see that he's attracted to the new models.
05:01So, all are going ahead and in the last month,
05:04they can keep on going ahead.

05:20Well, we totally understand. In fact, just to show you, it is not connected to today's program or such
05:25by the government or the Chief Minister, but to show you the actual weightage of this word Taimaman.
05:30There is an absolutely beautiful AR Rahman song and it carries two lines.
05:38That is the kind of trust, that is the kind of belief a new mod mother who absolutely would be
05:43completely insecure has over her brother. And that is the weight of Taimaman.
05:48And that particular Taimaman has been initiated in the state of Tamil Nadu.
05:53A pre-Paul promise by C. Joseph Vijay, the Chief Minister which has been initiated today.
05:58And from now on, any child born in the government hospital with a mother being a permanent president
06:03of the state of Tamil Nadu will get a 1 gram gold coin.
06:12Moving on, we have a very important story from the state of Tamil Nadu.
06:15This is about the Veera money case.
06:18Now, TVK and DMK, there are multiple folds this particular case.
06:22The actual case that needs to be investigated, the political issue, the money trail and such.
06:27But India today is completely concentrating on the investigation parameters.
06:31And what India today did was that we saw TVK and DMK actually going ahead and fighting over the closure
06:38report.
06:39Now, India today has accessed this particular closure report.
06:43It says city civil court on one end and true copy on the other hand.
06:48It's a four page closure report.
06:50And this particular closure report talks entirely about the time period as to what happened
06:54when the evidence was given to the anti-Y squad and the investigation team.
06:58And all the way up to February 20th, what exactly happened, what kind of investigation is done.
07:03We are not taking any kind of side over here.
07:05But if I have to give a gist, once a pen drive is received, the next day on 7th of
07:10October,
07:11a POXO case is registered.
07:12Post onwards, the investigation team says they have done multiple folds of investigations.
07:16They go ahead and they take the kind of statement from the complainant.
07:20Post which they actually go ahead and they try to find the kind of identity using a cyber expert,
07:26a certified cyber expert.
07:27And it is discovered that the contents are from 2019.
07:31The copy which is in the pen drive.
07:33Then what happens is that they call Veeramani for questioning.
07:36Veeramani denies that he is not the person in the particular video.
07:41And he also says that he is not aware of the person resembling a minor girl child.
07:46This is the actual word that is used.
07:48Then they go ahead and question Shanti.
07:50Shanti says, I know Veeramani but I do not know the person who is resembling a minor girl child
07:55in that particular video.
07:56She also says that particular location is not from her residence.
08:00What the police team does is that they go ahead, they claim they actually went ahead and questioned
08:04a person who runs a puncture shop next to the so-called scene of crime sport.
08:09And he says that Shanti and her husband Mahindra Simmon do not allow any strangers inside their home.
08:16Then they go to a place, a kind of a place, a kind of a high hospital and inquire a
08:21person over there
08:22who is an employee and he says that he knows Mahindra Simmon and Shanti and they do not allow
08:27any unknown person inside their home.
08:30This is one part of investigation.
08:31Then they claim that the DVR, digital video recording that was taken from that particular home
08:36was given to a cyber expert and since it has been 6 years as per the records the cyber expert
08:42could not actually find the original recording.
08:45And they claim that they attempted to go ahead and find the whereabouts of the person resembling
08:51a minor girl child and they could not do so.
08:54And that is what they were ahead and they actually filed this FAD further action drop report.
09:01This is on one side. Now what happened is that based on this particular report, TVK government said
09:05they went ahead and they decided to go ahead and initiate the investigation.
09:09It was actually the POKSO special court judge who went and said she denied to accept this report
09:16and order for the inquiry giving 4 weeks time.
09:19Now, DMK comes forward. It is the MP Wilson. He says that there is a timeline. The report was given
09:26on February but until June the report was not taken for cognizance and verification by the court
09:31which means wasn't the chief minister informed about this particular report by the top cops.
09:38He is mentioning the chief commissioner, the chief secretary and such.
09:41And then he says even after the report has been denied, the court did not accept the report,
09:47why wasn't Veeramani arrested until 8th of August. Yes, this is political bickering on one side
09:53between DMK and TVK but India today has accessed this report and whatever is mentioned over here
09:59considering a POKSO case very clearly the investigation should have been much in detail.
10:07Here's what Sir Netas had to respond to this.
10:12The court has said investigation has to be done in a proper manner and they have said all these
10:23no media house should speculate on what is going to happen. This should not be a media trial.
10:31But with regard to the allegations made by Mr. Ranjan Kumar, the only one simple question.
10:37He is not someone who doesn't know the media. Why has he kept quiet so long?
10:45Now two things, I should congratulate the judge because she did not want closure of the case
10:52and this government also should take forward without any political pressure. That is my view.
10:59And this government should more intensify the enquiry so that nobody should escape.
11:04Whoever may be the powerful person behind it. Yesterday Udi Nidhi did not answer for the question.
11:10Why you are not answering? Then they will tell, cite the court.
11:13But court told, don't disclose other things. But as a political party they can condemn.
11:20Apurva Jayshandana is live with us. Apurva, this is a very serious matter. Like we said, we are not
11:24going to enter the political bickering, what is happening between TVK and DMK. But as far as we read
11:28the closure report, we itself could find that quite a lot of things could be done on this particular
11:33manner. How far has the investigation come so far and what is DMK is trying to say about this closure
11:39report right now. But in fact, putting the political bickering to a side, the real matter that ought to
11:47be investigated is to what went wrong. Who are all the perpetrators who have been behind this heinous
11:52crime for over two decades that this has been going on? A man who is so called to be well
11:58known, well
11:59prestigious in the heart of Chennai city here in the capital of Tamil Nadu. And to see that over two
12:05decades he's been going on and doing these kind of heinous crimes and nobody reporting on it. That's
12:10the question that, you know, opposition leaders are going ahead and picking up. In fact, the chief
12:15minister has gone ahead and questioned Solingas-Stalin, sir, tell your response to which, you know,
12:21you see the DMK stream, MK Stalin going ahead and responding. But what matters now is now that all
12:26of these reports have now come out, what is going to be a matter that will be taken up, be
12:31it at the
12:32court or be the police investigation? Yes. The Tamil Nadu government, the Tamil Nadu police have
12:36appointed an important special investigation team that will be headed by four top women police
12:43from the department here. They will be investigating into what all has happened, where all the lapses have
12:48gone, be it, you know, in October of 2025, when the complaint in the NGO had gone ahead and showed
12:54these videos and these photographs to the police demanding for action to be taken. Or even much earlier,
13:01when there were hints that such a scandal was taking place, why there wasn't any action taken.
13:06But now with the closure report that has come out, it definitely raises a lot of questions as to
13:10what had gone on, how easily or under whose particular influence was it that the closure
13:16report had been submitted. And, you know, that's what the BJP is also going ahead and pointing out,
13:22saying that if, you know, the POSCO judge had not gone ahead and demanded that this case be reopened,
13:28then this would have been simply brushed under the carpet. And nobody would have known what kind
13:33of a heinous man and a heinous crime had been committed, where young children were mercilessly
13:38assaulted in this and the trauma that they had endured time after time, every time this woman's,
13:44this man's name had even cropped up, Pramod.
13:50Thank you for this update. So, Purva request to stay back. But the important aspect is not just
13:55mercilessly. It's a systematic abuse. People are involved. It was recorded. There are multiple
14:01recordings. The person has been observed. If not Veeramani, who is that particular person? Now,
14:07these are the questions the investigation team will have to go and find out. Yes,
14:10there is apparently alleged involvement of certain top officials as well. Misuse of power. That needs
14:16to be investigated. And let's see. TVK government has promised that everybody involved, the chief
14:21minister said, they will have to face the law. Let's see how far it goes. Moving on,
14:25Tamil Nadu is going to face elections by polls for two constituencies. But the way it is going on,
14:31it's almost like Tamil Nadu is facing an entire assembly election. That is a kind of fight we see
14:36between TVK, DMK and ARA-DMK. On one side, the leader of the opposition and DMK's, you know,
14:44youth wings head, Uday Nidhi Stalin, when he went over, he apparently made a comment with the term
14:49mood and that immediately turned viral because that was considered derogatory by TVK. However,
14:54now we have Adhavarjuna, who calls the leader of the opposition as a prince. And he says,
15:00while the chief minister comes to the assembly by 9.30 am, the prince only comes by 5 pm, apparently
15:06because he is busy whole night in the Andhapuram. Andhapuram has two meanings, either a private
15:12quarters or a women's quarters. And he says, as the prince is busy over there, that is why he is
15:17late.
15:17And also, he claims that Uday Nidhi alone is enough to actually bring down the DMK monarchy.
15:24This is the kind of a jibe that was thrown by Adhavarjuna. Finally, Adhavarjuna also goes ahead and
15:29challenges Uday Nidhi Stalin. He says that if the DMK candidate gets one vote in the extra from the
15:35the TBK candidate, he will immediately resign. But can Uday Nidhi Stalin do so? And he says,
15:41Uday Nidhi Stalin will not accept such a challenge and he'll simply walk away as if he had not heard
15:46it.
15:46This is what happened on the ground.

16:55In Karnataka, the BJP versus Congress battle has turned personal and ugly.
17:00Karnataka leader of opposition R. Ashok launched a sharp attack on Rahul Gandhi,
17:05was criticizing and questioning the constitutional body.
17:08Things have turned personal where Chalwadi Narayan Swami, the leader of opposition in legislative council,
17:15has targeted Rahul Gandhi and called him as mad.
17:18And he has also said that the date of birth of Rahul Gandhi is on the same day when the
17:23movie Mera Naam Joker was released.
17:26And the leader of opposition, Narayan Swami, Chalwadi Narayan Swami also called Rahul Gandhi mad.
17:32And it is because he is unmarried.
17:34And he has also made a request to Congress leaders and Sonia Gandhi asking them to get married Rahul Gandhi
17:43and ensure that all this madness goes away.
17:47And this particular statement of Chalwadi Narayan Swami has not gone well with the Congress,
