00:00Well, more signs that the gains for the AFD that you've seen in recent elections,
00:05where they've won in elections across Germany,
00:09signs that that momentum could actually be building further elsewhere in Germany.
00:14And of course, you've got the Conservative Chancellor Friedrich Merz,
00:18who recently saw his party fail to win a single seat in the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern election
00:25because they're under the 5% threshold.
00:28Merz under huge pressure as German Chancellor to resign.
00:32Most Germans want him to resign.
00:35Just 11% of Germans satisfied with Merz, 87% not happy with his performance as Chancellor.
00:42And what does that mean?
00:43Well, it means in terms of the next national election,
00:47you can see here the AFD have a 10-point lead,
00:5229% to the Conservatives' second on 19%,
00:55the Greens' third on 15%.
00:57And the SPD, Social Democrats, who are in government with Merz's Conservatives on 14%.
01:03Now, of course, we did see those big AFD victories in recent elections.
01:09And you also did see in Berlin, the left party emerge as the winners there.
01:15But what is clear now is that this is spreading in terms of the AFD's momentum across Germany
01:24because you can now see in North Rhine, Westphalia.
01:28So that is Germany's largest area by population.
01:33The AFD for the first time is now the most popular party there as well.
01:39So you're talking about a major, major part of Germany.
01:45You can see there how it breaks down in that part of Germany now as well,
01:51with the AFD having a two-point lead over the CDU Conservatives,
01:56who are in second by the AFD leading there in yet another part of Germany.
02:01And it's another huge warning to the political establishment in Germany
02:06as to what is happening and appears to be picking up momentum right across the country.
