00:15It all started when Claudia brought home another tiny, adorable jumping spider named Violet.
00:20I learned to watch her body language to figure out whether she was comfortable,
00:25curious, scared, or simply uninterested.
00:29Allergic to cats and dogs,
00:31Claudia decided the best way to experience having a pet was to confront her fear of spiders.
00:36She started building Violet tiny houses, playgrounds, and portable pocket pods where she could explore.
00:43She and Violet were fast friends.
00:45But as Violet grew older, she began to slow down.
00:48And it was time for Claudia to say goodbye.
00:51But even after Violet passed away, the little world she inspired kept growing.
00:56And more friends began to call Claudia's world their home.

01:39And Cleo was found inside a house plant.
01:43It literally doesn't get more adorable than this.
01:45Honestly, watching a spider inspect an entire room built exactly to her scale is kind of mesmerizing.
01:53What began as something Claudia made for Violet has now grown into an online community of people, learning that spiders
02:00might not be as scary as they assumed.
02:03There isn't a day that I don't miss Violet.
02:06I hope people watching Violet's story start looking at small creatures a little differently.
02:12I think humans naturally fear things we don't understand.
02:15I had some of those assumptions myself.
02:19But sometimes learning about the thing you're afraid of can completely change the way you see it.
