00:07The coaches have tried to make it as much about the game as possible and not a lot of
00:10the ancillary stuff.
00:12We've got a 57 and a half point total there, which leans in for what should be an exciting
00:17game.
00:18If that holds, I'm seeing a two and a half point line that's being laid by the visiting
00:24team.
00:25So we've got a home dog.
00:26Sam Levitt is doubtful, which according to NFL terms used to mean 25% chance of playing.
00:34Who knows if this is just, we'll call it lanesmanship, if you will, Tim.
00:39But what do you feel about that game and what's going to be a very, very hostile environment?
00:44What's the, what's the gift from anchorman of Ron Burgundy?
00:48I don't believe you.
00:49I don't believe this at all.
00:51And the market doesn't believe it.
00:52But here's the thing, guys, the drop off from Sam Levitt to the backup long street, the
00:59transfer from USC, my buddy, Brad powers did a big breakdown of, of what the biggest drop
01:06off in college football is from the start of the backup and preseason.
01:09He had it at three and a half points.
01:11All right.
01:12So that would tell us if Sam Levitt is out of this game, the market would move to Ole
01:18Miss being a short favorite here, right?
01:20Because they were a three point underdog last night.
01:23The market's moved to half point.
01:25The market is not buying this news of Sam Levitt being doubtful.
01:30And as you alluded to, Bobby, doubtful means he ain't playing.
01:34Yeah, we'll see.
01:35So I think most people, at least that I've talked to, I imagine most people that you guys
01:39know don't believe this for a second.
01:42And maybe we'll be surprised.
01:43I was texting with a radio host down in Baton Rouge last night, my buddy, Jimmy Ott.
01:48And I said, are you believing this?
01:50He said he's surprised and that the folks who cover the team are surprised as well.
01:57So this seemingly came out of nowhere.
01:59So it does feel like, to quote you, lanesmanship is absolutely being played here.
02:05So as for the game, look, LSU has absolutely been upgraded this year from where they were
02:12preseason after that week one obliteration of Clemson.
02:16And I think, excuse me, Ole Miss, I don't think you really do much with them.
02:20Yeah, they didn't cover against Louisville.
02:23But, you know, as we've talked about on this show, I think people were sleeping on our guy,
02:26Lincoln Keenholtz, who has looked pretty darn impressive so far this year through two games
02:31in Jeff Brom's system.
02:32Jeff Brom's a heck of a coach.
02:34He's going to scheme it up.
02:35And they came back from two touchdowns down, tied that game up.
02:39But guess what happened?
02:40Trinidad Chambliss put on his cape and said, don't worry, we'll go right down the field
02:43and we'll get on the board here.
02:45So, look, when you do see a game like this, and we've talked about this on this show,
02:49when you see a total of 57.5 and you see a relatively low total, it's going to be a
02:54game
02:54we're all going to be watching.
02:55It's the main game of the weekend.
02:57You know, sit back and see if you can get some live betting action here.
03:01I did take a little bit of Ole Miss plus three earlier in the week before the Leavitt news came
03:07out.
03:07I'm not in love with the bet.
03:08I do think this LSU team is the real deal.
03:12I think they've got, you know, big-time playmakers all over the field.
03:16I've been very impressed by the defense so far for LSU.
03:20But maybe it's too simplistic.
03:22But at the end of the day, I'm looking at the underdog at home who's got the better quarterback,
03:27and that's Ole Miss.
03:29So, at two and a half, I wouldn't play it.
03:31Let's see if we get it to three.
03:33Or, you know, maybe see if LSU gets the ball in the opening kickoff.
03:37Maybe they go down the field and score a touchdown.
03:39Now you're getting four and a half.
03:40Maybe you're getting five, somewhere in that ballpark, because you're going to get swings in this game.
03:45The last thing I'll say, and maybe I'll flip it to the two guys who played elite college football,
03:49is there a chance that Ole Miss could be too fired up for this game with all the pomp and
03:55circumstance
03:56and just everything that's going in?
03:58We know everybody in that town wants blood of Lane Kiffin.
04:03Is there a chance they're too fired up and they lead to some mistakes?
04:06Well, it's a great point.
04:08I'll let you go here in a second, Steele.
04:10But, like, in those big games, sometimes you see – it's like a Super Bowl, Tim.
04:16Like, a lot of times it's not a lot of scoring early on.
04:18It's kind of unsettled.
04:20You can see neither one of the teams, like, they're so amped up,
04:24especially if they don't have a lot of, you know, postseason experience or big game experience that,
04:29you know, defensively maybe there's some missed tackles.
04:32It's sloppy.
04:32You see some poor execution by the offense.
04:35And I think you can see that in this moment.
04:38That's why I always like to start the game on defense a little bit
04:41because I feel like it's easier to, as a defensive player, channel that into playing
04:45than maybe an offensive guy where you've got to be calm, cool, collected.
04:49You want to use that emotion.
04:50But it's going to be, obviously, a raucous environment.
04:54And that – if they can start on defense, I think, and get a stop.
04:58I love live in-game action because I think, like, that minus three,
05:02you get a stop and they go down and score.
05:04If you can get it before that score and a possession change,
05:06I think you'll feel pretty good about it.
