00:00That opening line against Ole Miss, 16-and-a-half is a favorite towards Ole Miss.
00:04Most numbers in the marketplace now, Joe, 17s and 17-and-a-half.
00:08We still have a 16-and-a-half popping up at FanDuel,
00:10and a total of 56-and-a-half, which is now rising to 57-and-a-half.
00:14Points are expected, Joe.
00:15Before we get to the game itself, as we know, Lane Kiffin, not there.
00:19He's at LSU.
00:20But somehow his staff's still coaching this football game with a new head coach.
00:23How do we make this?
00:24What do we make of it?
00:25Yeah, so it's an interim staff, obviously.
00:27That's my Lane Kiffin stay.
00:28Yeah, well, Charlie White.
00:30Well, the players voted.
00:31Get him out?
00:32No.
00:33Oh.
00:33I think it was a vote of 9-3 that they wanted him to coach.
00:37Now, why only 12 people, Joe?
00:38I don't know.
00:39Maybe it was captains.
00:40I'm just telling you.
00:41But the AD came out and said, no way.
00:43So, you know, two-thirds of the locker room basically were in favor of having Kiffin
00:49coach in the college football playoff.
00:51The AD said, absolutely not, because SEC rival, you know, in conference,
00:57no way do we want him on the sidelines representing the Rebels in this type of matchup.
01:03But Pete Golding is a veteran DC, you know, coached under Nick Saban and multiple dominant
01:08head coaches in the conference and in college football.
01:11And Charlie Weiss Jr. is the offensive play caller.
01:15The problem that I have in this matchup, when we just look at the Lane Kiffin factors,
01:20the preparation, the game plan, Pete Golding and Charlie Weiss taking on the responsibility
01:25of the head coach and just having the team mentally and physically prepared in this type
01:32of environment, we've seen interim coaches sometimes struggle.
01:35And in this matchup, where they dominated Tulane 45-10 previously, that is the expectation,
01:43right?
01:43And that is the cause of concern, because Summerall's on the opposite side for Tulane,
01:48and they're a veteran team.
01:49They haven't beaten Ole Miss since 1988.
01:52They've lost 14 straight matchups, Donnie.
01:55The last three to the Rebels by an average margin of defeat of 30.6 points per game.
02:02I like Tulane in a bounce-back spot.
02:04Again, I don't know if they win it, Don, but catching basically two touchdowns, now 16.5s
02:10in the market, you had 17.5s, I think they make it a close matchup.
02:15I think they shorten the game, and potentially, I think Lane Kiffin will be the X factor about
02:20potentially why Ole Miss doesn't cover.
02:22Yeah, and again, looking at it, it's not supposed to be this way.
02:26Like, you make the college football playoff, like, it's supposed to be fantastic.
02:28We're all in.
02:29Like, coaching staffs are all over the place where you're worried about.
02:31It's kind of amazing.
02:32Same thing with Tulane as well.
02:33Like, the preparation where I got one foot out the door, I got one foot in.
02:37Hey, if we win, it's great.
02:38But then if I win, another week, I've got to wait before I get my staff together.
02:41But think about this for a second.
02:43Lane Kiffin is going to LSU to potentially win a national championship.
02:47Yes.
02:48Oh, hey, Lane.
02:49You could have did it this year, pal.
02:50Right.
02:50Your team, if you, I mean, your team had one of the, the best season in Ole Miss history.
02:57Yeah.
02:57Right?
02:57Over the last 50 years, and you're jumping ship for 91 million.
03:02And granted, money talks, we all know that.
03:04And his quarterback, Trinidad Chambliss, said at the end of the year, he's gone, too.
03:11And half the team wants him, and the other half doesn't want him.
03:14He's doing AT&T commercials yesterday about the transfer portal.
03:19I don't know what to believe.
03:20Look, the numbers suggest Ole Miss you roll.
03:23The problem that I have is it's a rematch.
03:26Tulane is a blue-collar team.
03:28Again, it wasn't their best effort in Oxford back on September 20th where they got routed 45-10.
03:34In this matchup with all the marbles in the middle of the table, I think they throw a haymaker
03:40and potentially cover the 16 and a half, 17 in this matchup.
